I understand what hes saying alot of the companies have been corrupted (some what even valve with there steam for mac and the ps3 thing). Saying activision is the only one left well that is where I can't support you.
The guy has been CEO of Activision since 1991. Think what you want about him personally, but don't make the mistake of thinking he doesn't know how to run a profitable company.Lightslei said:Joy. Can we all stop over-reacting to everything this twit says? We've all established he's worthless, and avarice incarnate. He doesn't actually understand business in an intelligent way so why do we waste our time.
Because they are so large. Had Activision been a medium sized company, this would of fell over in an instant. And from a business perspective Kotick is a moron. It's honestly amazing that ANY company would still want to associate with Activision while he's there. That's where I'm confused.Alpha1089 said:The guy has been CEO of Activision since 1991. On topic: Oh Kotick, will you ever tire of trolling the games industry? Hopefully not as it amuses me greatly.
Halo Wars was made by Ensemble Studios.Daystar Clarion said:Bungie? You mean those guys who've made the same game over and over for the past 10 years? (Except Halo Wars of course).
Kotick was the leader of the group of investors that bought out Activision back when it was about to go bankrupt. Since taking over as CEO they became one of the largest publishers in the world, and then became the biggest when they merged with Vivendi Games. The reason he's still leading the company is because the shareholders of Activision Blizzard voted to keep him on as CEO of the merged company. Sure, it'd be nice if he wasn't out to make money through things like a subscription fee for CoD, but he knows exactly what he's doing. And what he's doing is making as much money as possible for Acti Blizz, which is the very reason shareholders voted to keep him in charge.Lightslei said:Because they are so large. My head hurts. Business logic dictates it should've went under if he was this batshit insane at the start. God damn it, this man defies logic.Alpha1089 said:Kotick was the leader of the group of investors that bought out Activision back when it was about to go bankrupt.
