What is your perfect body?
And do looks really matter to you?

I was just watching something on the bbc about weight in girls and boys and how eating disorders develop
It intrigued me; it said that about 25% of boys in Britain have some form of it and it's serious in about 15% of them
I consider myself far too skinny and i don't like, but i've tried doing something about it and failed numerous times so have given up
I've also come to the conclusion that there is no perfect body (it's subjective - duh)
But i wish there was, then i'd know what to strive for to be as attractive as possible lol

My perfect body image is Brad Pitt basically lol
And my own looks matter to me lol i don't leave the house without my hair done - ever

I do think looks matter, yes. Mostly because being out of shape is a sign of being unhealthy, lazy, and low livelihood to me. Don't get me wrong, I like some meat on the bones of my ladies, but I like the meat to be muscular, in shape, tight.

For myself, my ideal body image is Bruce Lee.

He's easily the most in-shape person I've ever seen to exist. He wasn't a mass of ugly, thick muscle either. He was streamlined speed, agility, and strength. If I could have anyone's body, it'd be his.

But I would definetly settle on George St. Pierre.

HaHa lol look at Lee lat's; fuck me, that guy could glide if he jumped off of something tall

I like a little "junk in the trunk" - or so i believe the phrase is in "da ghetto boi!"
But the unhealthy image that gets pinned on is an incredibly valid point

Do you believe this is down to genetics? (searching for the best person to pass on genes to)
Or down to a want to have the best woman kinda thing Or simple personal preference?

Body image really does matter as the instant we see somebody, consciously or subconsciously, we all decide certain things about them just from the way they look, like certain personality traits or even what job they have or if they're married.

Also perfect body, see Lucy Pinder for women and I agree with Ares about Bruce Lee for men. The man was a like a finely tuned machine.

I would do Ville Valo before Bruce Lee any day.

Something about Bruce's body just doesn't sit right with me.

I just gotta admire the effort he put into getting into shape like that and some of the incredible physical feats he was capable of, I say sitting here with the beginnings of a beer gut and not having done any hard exercise for months.

It's within the first 14 seconds of knowing someone, you judge them on their actions and looks and any other information you can gather more in the first 14 seconds of knowing someone than you are likely to ever after. That's your "first impression time" as it were lol
Does healthy body image not imply that it will improve how people percieve you as you will appear more confident and comfortable, both very attractive things (generally, of course) do you think?

Yeah, screw the Batman cape, Lee can just outstretch his arms and glide down from a skyscraper.

I know what you mean, I love me some booty, believe me. I'm definetly an assman, but there's ALOT of girls with fantastic asses who are in also fantastic shape. Namely dancers and gymnists. I've never seen a dancer or a gymnist without an amazing rear end. I used date a dancer, and golly gosh was it great. I've dated girls that are relatively thin, but still in shape (she was a track athlete and wrestled a year), and I find that attractive. And I've had girls that have a litte more meat on them, but they were still in shape (the dancer). But I dislike the skin and bones kind of thing just as much as I dislike the flabby fat overweight type.

I don't know if it is genetics, but I see that could make sense. I'm attracted to healthy, active young women whom would live longer, and healthier lives, over those that are out of shape. And being that they would pass down positive gene traits would probably be a plus also but I don't think it comes down to genetics really. I mean, anyone can be in shape if they try. It just goes down to how active and motivated that person is. Granted there are bigger people and smaller people, regardless of size, you can be in shape, and that's more of a perosnality thing than anything. So maybe I'm attracted to that personality trait of the person, along with the attractive body resulting.

eh... personally i don't care so much... i have no idea what makes me like some peoples physical appearance and dislike others when they can practically be exactly the same size/shape... oh well...

That's the thing though lol (he says epically) you choose the ones that ARE motivated, could it be a genetic programming to seek out those that will succour your seed best of all, producing as good a compliment to your own genetic material as possible?

I honestly don't know lol i think that throwing these ideas about is the best way of coming to a conclusion (the socratic approach i'll have you know lol) although i do think science tells us that the above is why we're attracted to people. Not that i care lol till science can explain love i don't buy it

You say "lol" alot. Heh, yeah, maybe that is a genetic thing, but I always figured personality type came from your enviroment and not your genetic material. Who knows.

My ideal body-type?

Basically me, except with a little less fat. That puts me around both the could-survive-quite-a-while-on-stored-fat and capable-of-dexterous-movements areas, and well below the going-to-have-a-heart-attack-at-twenty. If these were on some sort of scale. Now I've got could-survive-a-little-longer-on-stored-fat, but am still well below the going-to-have-a-heart-attack-at-twenty area. Too bad I'm out of the capable-of-dexterous-movements area, though.

I'm still perfectly fine where I am now, though.

H-y-p-h-e-n-s!

I like me. Except that I'm short.
I'm skinny (good skinny) I'm fast, I can really jump, and apperently a "babe".
...I don't know either, my friends girlfriend said that.

Anyways, most WWE guys are a bit on the big side to not think that there's a little more then mashed fruit in their OJ, but Chris Masters

seems to have a good amount of muscle, while not looking like somebody a giant slab of meat.

As for women, I could make a list five miles long of, *ahem*, "websites" that have very good looking... "models".

And by that I mean porn.

Then you are looking at the wrong porn, my friend! I'm sure if you do a little digging, you'll get something good. After all, it's the Internet. There's a video/picture/transvestite's phone number for everyone!

I fear this thread may now get out of hand.

Aw, come on! it depends on the "actress". Those women spend half their day hitting the gym already.

Ogle them, damnit!
