Including both on the internet and in real life, I've met two people who've read Skulduggery Pleasant. Two.
I would complain that more people should know about it and that it's the best series ever and whatnot, but I only know about it because I saw a skeleton in a suit in amongst a bunch of little kid books. That was one weird trip to Asda... and yet, the best one ever.

As for games, the only one I can think of is Ty the Tasmanian Tiger. I know a few of you Escapees have heard about it, but I think if you said it was well known, it'd be such a big lie that your head would explode.

The Bartimaeus Trilogy is the best Trilogy I have read EVER!!!!!!!
Those books were absolutely amazing, still have all three. Now I wanna read them again...

This series is by far the greatest one I have ever read, and yet almost every person I talk to about them has never heard of them! I must spread the word!

Third book was weakest, but loved the main character and his excellent use of footnotes.
I loved it, and one of the reasons are because of those you have pointed out. However, I find the Golem's Eye the weakest, but it isn't that bad since it has probably one of the scariest parts that I have read in a book. Still, All of these books are excellent and should not be missed. A fourth book is coming BTW.

I have read the Amulet of Samarkand exactly 7 times now. It's my favorite book of the collection, though the rest are still great. I got them by sheer luck, Mexico isn't a quite book country. All the books I can find at the moment are from the Twilight Saga unfortunately...
I will check out the book if I have the chance though, but I doubt it will be soon enough.
Also a fourth Bartimaeus Trilogy is coming if you didn't knew.

Ever have a book, movie or game that nobody you come across is familiar with it? What is it?

As for me, The Night Angel Trilogy, by Brent Weeks (a very good read)
Those books. Anyone else read them?
Awsome triology, bought on impulse. wow. Never met anyone else that was familiar with it either.
Aquasilva is another few people seem to know.

It's pretty hard to find people that remember Hamtaro, and harder to find people that watched it. :(

Well, I've referenced the Young Wizards series of books on this site before, and no-one here seems to have heard of it. Sad, really; it's an amazing series.

The first book in the Maximum Ride series. Almost everybody I talk to didn't even know that the series existed. The few that do have only heard of the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th book. It's kind of sad too, the first book, while juvenile, was actually pretty good, easily the best. The 2nd was good, but not as good as the first. The third and fourth, the author decided that beleivable plots were old fashioned. In the third book, the main character finds out that her mom is actually a random person she met earlier completely by chance, really. In the fourth book, the government gets a 14 year old girl with no experience to go to Antarctica and learn about Global Warming so she can talk to Congress about it. No, really. That's the actual plot

The Bard's Tale has like nine other people who've played It on here, but I have yet to know anybody who's played Steambot Chronicles, oh Vanilla, how your amnesia didn't make me hate you I will never know.

Killing Floor for one--Don't get me wrong I understand how many people play it now but when I first saw it, it stuck out like a sore thumb because all the either games were A) Uninteresting or B) I'd at least heard of but didn't have enough for. Another game is (I hope you're ready for deja vu if you ever did play this) Frogger: The Great Quest for PS2. I sold it a few months ago (and got about 3 bucks woot woot), but I never saw any ads for it or anything...

dude, are you serious? how has no one heard of H.P. Lovecraft? i mean, i haven't exactly read his books before, but i know about him, mainly for cthulu and that story about the wolves and the necronomicon. even if i haven't read the stuff, it's still stuff that's widely used especially cthulu. he doesn't get enough credit.

I'm convinced I'm the only one who loved the Pendragon series of books as a kid. I'm also pretty sure no one else played Prey.
I did play Prey.
Also another game I have rarely seen someone play is:

[HEADING=1]The Void[/HEADING]

Best game I have ever played, and the only game I can SERIOUSLY say it's an art game gem.
thanks, i'll start playing as soon as possible, looks like a great game, can't wait to try it

I don't think people here have read my assortment of history books sitting on the shelf next to me, but that is probably more obvious than can be expected considering there are so many of them. On a more practical level, I used to have a sense that I was the only one who played Mafia 1 or Europa Universalis II, but then I joined this fancy website and found a few others who did. :)

I have played that game. However, I'll wager that you or anyone else have not played Custom Robo Arena for the Nintendo DS.
I'm not much for portable games, so no I haven't. However I have been meaning to pick it up ever since it was released.
