They fell under he thrall of the Old King. The propel they were had been dead before you met them. And It helps that she has the worst level in the game. Got me nice and angry. And besides, you don't technically kill Astraea....
Killing Thrall and Cairne in a "For the Alliance" I started in WoW; they're not bothering anyone, Cairne is just chlling on some remote plateau in the middle of nowhere and Thrall is just chlling in his little hut in Orgrimmar.
I agree completely. Though other fights may have been emotional, nothing comes close to fighting the Boss at the end of MGS3. It's just so climactic and exhilarating but also saddening. The fight wasn't about hatred, vengeance or anything else like that. It was about love, trust and sacrifice.
I'm trying to think of what you mean there. Because i, living in England and safely assumed that we had the same amount of Fire Emblems as America am now slightly confused.
I thought the first Fire-Emblem was the one with Eliwood and that Dragon you killed (not the one in the cutscene) had no backstory other than "its powerful and wants to kill you all", and i personally felt great when i killed that, a monster with so much health it was not labelled firstly as numbers but as "??".
and i can't think if any dragons in the second one... wait, damn it, now i know who you mean... but because i've typed it up i can't be bothered to delete it. i'll just look like a bit of a tool.
you mean Myrhh's dragon adoptive father who was got zombified right? if not, then i still don't know what you mean.
on the topic of fire-emblem though, I played the one which had Roy in it (no.6 i think for Japan, the one before the Eliwood one that was the 1st released in America) and at one point i had to kill a guy who wasn't the boss of the level, but was enough a boss to have a name, a face, to be friends with at least 2 of your other characters but for some stupid reason wouldn't be convinced by them to join your team! and not only did this happen once, with a man who was "General class", but also with some legend of a "wyvern master" later on, who looked so so sooo damn awesome.
anyway, game that isn't as unknown as fire-emblem... urrrm... damn, i've only got another obscure game... oddly enough called "obscure" (the pun actually wasn't intended)
i only got the game because i had £10, thats how much it cost, and it looked like it could actually be scary. I was dissapointed with the lack of scariness (it focused more on "RARGH! did i make you jump-ness") but i actually enjoyed the gameplay and its storyline.
i'm going to include spoilers just incase any of you for some insane reason decide to also play the game
when after the boss-battle near the end with the big plant and its crazy deformed son with the chainsaw, i felt bad when in the cutscene, you killed the deformed son. I know he'd totally butcherized and left-for-dead another character whom i actually liked, but I'd thought about him too much. He was deformed because of the way he grew up as well as being slightly mentally handicapped, his father was a douche, and yet he tried his hardest to love him and be accepted, even when his dad somehow got turned into a plant
sorry if the spoiler is completely wrong, but i've interpreted the game as a sequel, yet have had no luck finding the first game in the stores, so the storyline still has a few slight holes in it. though i get the basics
Yeah I feel this! They all seem so innocent. (except the lizard, don't like lizards) The main character is such a dick! Killing all those peaceful colossus just to save one life! Greedy greedy greedy.
I liked Credo from Devil May Cry very much - besides his fight being one of the most epic bossfights at least in my gaming History, I found him to be quite cool (in fact more so than nero), and I feel Credo would really have deserved some bigger role in the events after his bossfight, maybe even as a playable character.
To cure his father's illness, Prince Lyon studied the Sacred Stone of Grado. Eventually he made a breakthrough, separating the stone into two pieces, the light side Fire Emblem, and the dark side that held the Demon King's soul. He hoped to use these to save his dying father and help the hurt. But exposure to the Demon King eventually corrupted him, but Lyon kept fighting back. Eventually his frail self was almost completely taken over and his father passed away. To ensure that the empire wouldn't run into chaos, he used the dark stone to reanimate his father's corpse and run the country through him. This eventually led to ordering Grado's newest generals to destroy the other four stones, by order of the Demon.
When you see him as either Eirika or Ephraim, you can see that Lyon attempts to resist the evil inside of him, but eventually his frail soul is lost. When you see him in the final chapter, you see a flashback saying that he would save as many people as he could using the stone. He echoes this to your main lord, saying that their defeat is the only way he could help people. He also admits that while he has done horrible things, he can't change them in anyway.
He was such a nice person, and I honestly can't tell if he really felt that way about his friends since they met.
Selena from the same game also qualifies due to her undying devotion to her emperor, Lyon's father. Brenya from Sword of Seals also has that with her love for her late king Zephiel, fulfilling his final wish.
