The last of the three Fallout3 DLC's is just a couple weeks from release.
in this new donwload able part of the game you fight alongside with the Brotherhood of steel against the remaining Enclave soliders in the capitol wasteland. yes boys and girls this DLC takes place after the mainquest has ended! the represenative from bethesa said they might alter the main quest line. I find that perfect becouse frankly, the last quest ruined the whole bloody game. anyway what expectations do you guys have for this final DLC for the capiol wasteland? will it be good? will it suck? did you like The Pitt and Operation: Anchorage? are you going to buy it? will the altering of the Main questline be an improvment?
god lets hope so!
give your opinion, and if you have som valid information I forgot writing then please help yourself :D

I find it troubling that you've gotta pay ten bucks to fix the shit sandwich that should've been fixed with a free patch. Would it have killed them to say "Version 1.2 release notes: Fixed main quest ending to allow the player to continue the story after the conclusion" since it worked to such wonderful perfection in Morrowind and Oblivion?

They are increasing the level cap, right?

As for altering the ending, I think they should definitely as the final quest was a bit of a disappointment - inevitable spoilers to follow:

Liberty Prime was ok, but when it comes to the last stage in a game, you shouldn't have some invulnerable NPC doing practically all the work for you. We all remember the lapse in the logic that was the final decision of the game - maybe this time they will let us send our radiation immune sidekick into the nasty irradiated test chamber. Here's hoping.

As the other two DLC's, I enjoyed the Pitt, my Auto Axe still giving me lot of slaughtering pleasure. Operation Anchorage was fine, for the quick jaunt that it was anyway. I still need to satisfy my collecting urges and go back in for all the intelligence reports.

Chances are, I will be buying Broken Steel though I will be waiting for some trailers and info on the content before deciding for definite.

You can actually ask Fawkes to go into the chamber and do it, but then he says something like "We all have our destiny in life, and I would not rob you of yours." Still doesn't really make sense, I agree.

So does anybody have a definite release date for Broken Steel yet?? I can't wait! To be honest more because they will raise the level cap than for the actual new content, I want more perks and skill points! I still have plenty of places to explore in the regular game.

I liked The Pitt and OA a good deal more after I played them again on my second play through, the pitt especially, much better if you go through and just take in the atmosphere. I am really looking forward to broken steel because hopefully I can find a damn helmet to go with my Tribal Power Armor.

I will be holding back on Broken Steel until I've browsed a few forums, as I do not want a repeat of the frustration that comes with buying a broken buggy game add on like The Pitt.

But once I know it is working properly I cannot wait to get back in and start raising my level to 21...

Man i hate comparing the game to oblivion but I mean the amount of time i spent just randomly exploring oblivion was much more enjoyable and it seemed to have alot more caves and temples to explore, fallout seems to just fall back on subway systems which are boring as hell. Ive been pretty disappointed with the DLC so far, though Pitt made more sense with the game, i enjoyed anchorage much more. The Pitt seemed like alot of area for a place with no quests.

As for broken steel we'll see. People that think raising the level cap to 30 is going to fix things are wrong haha. The reason why oblivion was awesome with leveling was that the top level seemed unreachable, but you slowly got there. I finished all the quests I could find and I was still not at the top level, but I was at a level I was satisfied with haha. The expansions (the one that let you travel throught the portal, and the crusader armor quest line) actually added to the game instead of just little tag ons and required a decent amount of gametime.

In summary after the first two expansion being what they were I'm not expecting much from broken steel, dont get your hopes up people.

Well, I'm going to get Broken Steel for sure. I'm also going to get the other 2 DLCs along with it for one massively epic playthrough.

Yes because extending the gameplay beyond the ending and in fact having to severly retool the ending to add a whole extra quest to it costs the developers nothing and therefore they don't need to be reimbursed. It's not enough they admitted they dropped the ball, no apparently they must pay further for it. Hell why don't you sue them to get a free download code for Broken Steel if it pisses you off that badly?

Or you could just admit that you're blowing this out of proportion.

I dunno, it was a big kick in the balls... especially if you were an idiot and didn't save regularly. They could easily have patched it so you could at least stay alive without the extra quest.

I'll obviously be getting it, though I might wait a week or so in case they cock it up like they did the last one.

That said, I got Operation Anchorage on release day and never got around to playing it, now I'm away from the 360 so I haven't had a chance to download The Pitt. Reckon I've got a lot of catching up to do.

Bah, i'll wait until they release all the DLC on a disc, i've had enough of buying shit off the Internet tbh, and i'm not touching GFWL even with a 100m pole.

I'd much rather have it all on disk, It also gives you time to let the dust settle and not get caught in hype.
