The third ship of its type, the S.S. Juliet relies on Anti engines for its propulsion much all the newer type of ships. And much like the newer ships the Juliet use lightweight plating to allow for faster travel and maneuvering. Much like past ships, the Juliet takes off vertically but without the need for external rockets. The ascent is still rough but the anti-matter engines make it slightly more smooth.
Starting from the nose, the cockpit is where the pilot and commander maneuver the ship. The cockpit is rather spacious as it accommodates the rest of the crew when launching or landing.
Then from the cockpit are two exits of the ship located respectively port and starboard.
Moving on is the main corridor of the ship leading all the way down to the back of the ship and its engine room. There are several rooms along the corridor with their own dedicated spaces.
The first two rooms on port and starboard side are the sleeping quarters for the astronauts. Each room has four beds arranged in a row, one foot apart from each other. The beds themselves resemble half ovals with the mattress and pillow itself custom-made to fit snug in the oval. When Deep Sleep mode is activated, the other half of the oval come forward from an apparatus above the head of the bed. Once the half of the oval is perfectly over the other, it slides into place and completes the oval. The dip inside the oval is enough for any human being to fit in and the apparatus doesn't come in contact with the head at all.
Following that is the science lab on the starboard side and the storage room port side. The storage room also doubles as a recreation room. While not exactly a full-fledged gym, it does offer the astronauts a space to work out using a few manual work-out devices. The same with the science lab as in it doesn't quite hold up to a fully-fledged laboratory, it has enough to carry some experiments and store some sensitive material. The science lab also has a UV light.
Next is the medical room port side and drone command center starboard. The medical room is stocked with medicine and a bench of which astronauts can use if need be.
Finally the lavatories occupy both side rooms before leading into the engine room. In the engine room there are two more exits on either side.
The drone command center on board is for two exploratory drones [http://fc09.deviantart.net/fs41/i/2009/049/0/7/DRONE_17_by_dasAdam.jpg]. The drones are able to remotely repair the ship and collect material outside the spacecraft otherwise deemed unattainable for the astronauts although the drones only have an operational range of 100 yards from the vessel. They are roughly three feet tall and weighs 100lbs unladen with any material with its maximum capacity reaching 200lbs. There are cameras on the side and center of the drone with the side camera able to switch from its regular view to infrared and magnetic view. The drones are stored underneath the ship and deploy from there as well. There are hatches to access the drones themselves without deploying them. They are located on the floor of the drone command center and the medical room.
There isn't a way to recreate gravity just yet so when in orbit, the Juliet experiences little to no gravity on board.

Humanity's first steps into space were messy at first but it wasn't just humanity's own mistakes that made it messy. The endless variation of space yielded many anomalies previously thought to be impossible. Broken Sun is one of them.
The mission is simple. Venture past Neptune and the "Kuiper Cliff" and uncover the fate of the S.S. Elijah. The mission will be closely monitored so expectations are high. Now time for the astronauts.
The roles(Any role not filled out I will either add an NPC):
Commander- In charge of overall mission success, safety of crew and the ship. The commander helps the pilot fly the ship as well. (Please PM me first regarding the Commander role. The commander role is a huge role.)
Pilot- In charge of flying the ship.
Flight Engineer- Besides assisting the pilot the flight engineer is in charge of the maintenance of the ship and its general state. Repairs are usually made by the flight engineer both in and outside the ship.
Drone specialist- In charge of the drones aboard the ship. They are in charge of piloting the drone either of exploration or assistance in repairs of the ship.
Doctor- The medical specialist on board the S.S. Juliet. In charge of the well being of the astronauts.
Science Officer- Primarily in charge of the S.S. Juliet's science experiments.
Security Personnel- Hastily attached to the S.S. Juliet. They are in charge of protecting the astronauts from whatever happened to the S.S. Elijah.

The RP is going to take place when the ship reaches Jupiter so if I've accepted you, your characters should have gotten to know one another by now.
Any suggestions or criticisms are welcome. If any of you have any questions please ask.

It is the year 2080 and humanity has advanced after finally banding together when an extraterrestrial message reached Earth.
On September 6th, 2020, for a few moments, humanity was universally reminded that it wasn't alone. For 3 minutes all of our TV's, computers, phones and radios played a message from space. There wasn't an alien face to greet humanity but a voice in its alien tongue. At first it didn't even sound like a voice. Not to our human ears. It sounded synthetic, strange, different and incongruous but it was a voice nonetheless. It was undeniably an alien species contacting Earth. Every major government body and scientific facility analyzed the message over and over again to make sure it wasn't fake. And for once it wasn't. The message was authentic as authentic as it could be. No one understood what it said or its meaning but when the 3 minutes was over, all fighting ceased all over the globe. Instead of pointing our guns at each other, we turned our sights to the stars. From then on, September 6th was internationally dubbed as "First Contact Day".
It was difficult at first to put aside everything we had against each other but we did it. In 2040, we sent astronauts to Mars to walk its red earth. In 2050 we invented anti-matter engines to hasten our search for the source of the signal. Finally in 2071, we successfully sent a ship to Alpha Centauri. Yet we weren't any close to finding the sender. But the biggest and most recent discovery came from within the solar system.
People theorize that it was either our immediate need to leave the solar system or the simple doubt that something could exist 200 AU away from the sun but something did exist. Beyond the Kuiper Cliff there was an anomaly That was why the S.S. Elijah was sent.

Ever since first contact, humanity has collectively sought to explore space as much as they could. That meant they needed more astronauts to cover ground in space. Certain countries could build the ships but not provide the astronauts but some provided the astronauts but couldn't build enough ships so it became common place for astronauts from all walks of life to work on one ship.
The S.S. Juliet may have been exclusively made in the United States but its pilots don't necessarily have to be from America. Space suits also haven't changed all that much either. They remain as bulky as they did when they first started but there have been changes.
Everyone's suit is capable of zero g flight albeit limited by the fuel and control is difficult without a dedicated propulsion pack of which there are only two. The addition of an integrated and dedicated electronic system is also new. Communication is more refined and there is the ability to see what one fellow astronaut is doing outside. Due to regulations only 4 astronauts are allowed outside.

Age: Obviously no teenagers or kids aboard the vessel. Everyone has to be either in their 30's or more.
Gender: Self-explanatory
Role on the Juliet: Is your character a dedicated scientist or mechanic? Your role on the S.S. Juliet is vital.
Bio: What did your character do before S.S. Juliet? (Military backgrounds are okay alongside having flown past missions before) The more important question is how much First Contact affected them or their family.
Personality: Who is your character and what are they like?
Religious Belief(if any): Your character is going to see things that are either going to shatter or strengthen their faith in religion. This is also totally optional.
