Crew Member David West: Attempting to subvert mission objectives.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
It must have been an interesting sensation to place a synthetic humanoid in a CQC hold in an attempt to disable it and drag it out of the cockpit only to have its head rotate 180[sup]o[/sup] and look at you but that was exactly what happened when ARK began to move once again.

"Security Officer David West is advised to release this Unit. Failure to do so may result in an trauma incident with a rating of severe to fatal." ARK's voice droned. Though its SK load out didn't currently include any combat related routines, it was loaded with SK_Ship_Maintenance, a module that gave the Android access to tools such as the Washer Extraction Tool, a device that resembled an ice pick.

"This Unit further advises Pilot Natasha to continue course towards the abandoned drone." ARK stated, leaving the threat of a severe to fatal traumatic incident unsaid.

"Any attempt to deactivate this Unit will be met with force." The Synth stated as it accessed the Communications array once again, locking it down and sending another update to Stellar Aeronautics Central Servers.

"Any attempt to deactivate this Unit will be met with force."

"Everybody calm the fuck down while I'm flying! That's an order!" Natasha snapped, rising to her feet. She steadied herself by gripping the arm of her chair, ensuring she didn't just float away. "ARC, I haven't changed our course. We're still on an intercept trajectory with this object of yours, but we won't be getting there for a few minutes yet. In the mean time, I am the ranking officer in the cockpit, and I am giving you an order to stand down, and to tell me exactly what it is I'm flying towards and what's so important about it. I don't want any fighting, but in case you haven't noticed ARC, 'This Unit' outnumbers and out-guns you, and advises that you are in no position to make threats. Do you understand?"

Cockpit: Da Crew

"Any attempt to deactivate this Unit will be met with force."

"Oh Hell Naw..." David quipped to hearing that, before throwing the Machine against the floor of the Cockpit, using his knee on it's back to keep it pinned as he held his weapon against it's head.
A Killer Robot on his ship? Fuck that noise!

"Everybody calm the fuck down while I'm flying! That's an order! {...} In the mean time, I am the ranking officer in the cockpit, and I am giving you an order to stand down, and to tell me exactly what it is I'm flying towards and what's so important about it. "

"You heard her, Tin can! And don't think I'll mind blowing a hole in that metal head of yours..." He threatened, keeping the Robot as Immobile as possible despite the Zero G.

Sorry for the short post <_<

Yukino woke, she seemed to be moving somewhat which was good but even so Emerson needed to examine her. She weakly requested that Yifie take her to her room, and Yifie responded immediately, grabbing Yukino out of Emerson's grasp and hauling her off down the hall. Emerson released his grip when Yifie grabbed hold, not wanting to do a tug of war over a patient but began protesting.

"No, I don't care where she requested to go she needs to be examined immediately so she will be taken to the medical office," he stated loudly as he followed Yifie down the hallway, he heard something from the others about the ship changing course, and the ARK unit being the one to do so, but that wasn't his concern at the moment.

Then the robot began to issue threats, without turning to face it Emerson spoke again to Yifie "Deactivate it, and let me take her to the medical bay," he said calmly and directly "Its your job to handle it, and mine to handle injuries, so let me do my job and go do yours."

Yukino reached her quarters but once she was laid down her bed, Yukino's eyes drifted to her locker.

"Do you remember what happened?" Cui asked. Of course Yukino remembered what happened to her prior to falling unconscious but what she saw still burned in her eyes. She the stars bend, the horizon melt away and colors she couldn't even comprehend. It was as if she stared into infinity itself.

"I-I don't know Cui. I saw a flash... everything seemed to be twisted. I couldn't see anything but a large flash. Like looking at the sun except it seeped into everything. And it shone colors I can't even describe..... I know I must sound crazy but that's what I saw....Broken Sun" Yukino whispered. She felt weak saying those last words. She never felt weaker in her entire life. Once she was on the bed, she could barely move.

-----------------------------------------

Abdul rose from his sleep chamber. He wondered how long he was asleep for then he was shocked to find out that he had overslept. They were already past Pluto and were nearing the area that the Elijah was last heard from.

"Unacceptable..."

He rose from his pod, stretching his limbs then hearing a commotion coming from cockpit. Hastily, he made his way out of the room as quick as he could but he still felt sore from his slumber. He past the other room seeing Emerson, Cui and Yukino. He gave them a quick nod before heading to the cockpit.

There he saw David attempting to restrain the android while Natasha was at the helm.

"West, hands off of the android. Kaminov, sitrep if you please." The commander ordered.

"West, hands off of the android. Kaminov, sitrep if you please."

'About damn time!' Natasha thought.

"Captain, while I was off duty I enlisted the ARC unit to supervise the cockpit, with orders to hold course. ARC has ignored my directives and set us on an intercept trajectory with an unidentified object, ETA..." Natasha glanced at her watch. "... seven minutes. During our absence, Security Officer Lee was also incapacitated, cause unknown. When myself, Dr. Chevenkov, Specialist Yifie, and Security Officer West confronted the ARC unit about these issues, it tried to commandeer the cockpit by force. We are still attempting to determine from the machine exactly what the hell is going on, sir."

"West, hands off of the android. Kaminov, sitrep if you please."

When the Captain came in, David growled slightly before pulling the robot off the floor, though keeping it resistanted.
"Second we can confirm it's not a threat, sir. Specialist Yifie gave explicit instructions as to action regarding this Device and considering it made clear threats to the crew on top of it's abnormal behavior when Officer Lee was incapacitated, I intend to follow them to the letter." He quickly explained, still waiting on that answer from ARK.

"And with all due respect Captain, if there is any additional information regarding ARK that could relate to the safety of this ship, now would be a great time to tell me." He then both officially and snarkedly asked, hoping this wasn't going to be some CIA type shit where they tell people to do one mission only to have another one take place without them knowing.
Least that's what happened in the movies...

S.S. Juliet | The Kookpit

The Synth focused its sensors on the pistol that was aimed at its cranium and quickly calculated the number of rounds that Security Officer West would be able fire before being disarmed based on his firing range scores and compared it with the number of rounds that its head could withstand before critical parts were damaged. ARK also calculated the likelihood that one of the lead projectiles would ricochet off of its cranial unit and strike a critical system and deduced that it was better off cooperating with the crew members for the moment.

"... tell me exactly what it is I'm flying towards and what's so important about it." Pilot Kaminov requested.

"West, hands off of the android. Kaminov, sitrep if you please." Came the voice of the Ship's Captain from the portal leading to and from the bridge.

"Captain, while I was off duty I enlisted the ARC unit to supervise the cockpit, with orders to hold course. ARC has ignored my directives and set us on an intercept trajectory with an unidentified object, ETA... seven minutes.

Sensing that it was the proper moment to interject, ARK spoke.

"The Sensor readings indicate that it is a drone like the ones that are currently carried aboard the Juliet. It is probable, given the make of the drone that it is from the Elijah. Mission parameters dictate that the Juliet is to investigate what occurred aboard the Elijah and it is probable that the drone unit may hold the answers without this ship being required to place itself in danger of succumbing to the same forces that overtook the Elijah." ARK stated as it placed reduced its volumetric silhouette, thereby psychologically reducing its threat profile.

"As for Security Officer Lee, the cause of her episode is not unknown. This Unit's optical sensors recorded an incident that coincided with Security Officer Lee's episode." As ARK stated this, it brought up the sensory recording of the flash of light that had caused Security Officer Lee to lose consciousness.

"As the event that caused Security Officer Lee is an unknown phenomenon, it is also unknown if it is likely to have a repeat occurrence. This Unit calculated that if the Abandoned Drone has the information requisite for the completion of this mission, it would place the S.S. Juliet in less peril to investigate." The Android continued in its neutral tone. If its manufacturers had designed the Synth with teeth, it would have been lying through them at that very moment.

Though ARC possessed none of the social cues that might have tipped Natasha off that the machine was lying or otherwise withholding information, she raised an eyebrow nonetheless. The logic of ARC's explanation just didn't add up.

"If it was as innocent as all that, then why could you not have just told us about the drone? Like you said, it falls within the parameters of our mission. If we'd known about it, we would have been duty bound to check it out. This doesn't explain why you felt the need to commandeer the ship by any means necessary while keeping us all in the dark, not to mention how you even knew the object was here in the first place."

From there, Natasha turned to the Captain.

"It's up to you, captain. Do we hold position and intercept the object that ARC has uncovered, or do we return to our pre-determined flight-plan? Personally, I feel we should hold position here and re-establish communication with Haros Station, with whom we should have a very frank conversation about this mission before continuing any further."

After ARC gave an answer to everyone's questions, David held up his side of the deal by letting the android go free and took the gun away from it's head, though he didn't hostler it.
"...See, if you had just said that in the first place, I think there would have been less "Gun pointed at your head"..." He remarked as he thought about what ARC had just said about getting to the Elijah.
"...So...You picked up a old drone from the Elijah? Fair enough, Guess we could check it out. Just 2 things: 1. I want all of the data relating to what happened to Officer Lee. 2. Answer Nat's questions."
He then leaned against the side of the cockpit, perfectly in position to blow the Android's face off id she tried anything.

"This Unit would have responded to queries regarding the object were This Unit not dedicating a majority of computing cycles towards attempting to repair the Communications Array. It appears that during the anomalous event that caused Security Officer Lee to episode, Communications was knocked down. As part of This Unit's responsibilities is craft maintenance, This Unit has been working on bringing Communications back online." ARK stated the half truth. During the time that ARK had commandeered the ship, it had locked down the Communications Array sufficiently with a rotating encryption that Stellar Aeronautics had developed for military applications.

"As for how This Unit was able to locate this object, the sensor logs will have the information that Pilot Kaminov is seeking. However, This Unit must respectfully correct Security Officer West's statement: There is a higher than average probability that the Drone belonged to the Elijah. There is still a possibility that the Drone belonged to another vessel that passed through this area." ARK continued as it streamed the data about the anomalous event onto a blank data cube and handed it to Security Officer West.

"This is the data that you requested."

Cui rolled her eyes at Yukino's blabbering and ignored Emerson, walking out and to the drone control room. She retrieved her helmet and one of the space suits on her way. She also utilized some of the ships stores to get some raw materials and metals. She then sealed and locked the drone room door behind her. She figured she wouldn't have another opportunity to prepare for the inevitable FUBAR that was approaching, so she decided to do it now. The first thing she did however was destroy the camera and other various monitoring devices in the room,

She then set to work, she was actually fairly relieved. She had a feeling interacting with half of her crew members was lowering her life span.
Cui set out all of her tools, opened up the hatch to the drone and sealed the outer door with the manual lock so that in the off chance the android had killed everyone it wouldn't just space her. Now it was time to tinker!

"Personally, I feel we should hold position here and re-establish communication with Haros Station, with whom we should have a very frank conversation about this mission before continuing any further."

"In any other circumstance, I would agree but we need to get to Elijah as fast as possible and if what the android is saying is right about the drone then maybe we can get some intel on Elijah. If it does confirm that there is life then we move in. If it doesn't then we stay put, got that?" Abdul said, rattling off what was one his mind for the crew. He wanted to touch base with them and give them his thought on the matter. Relations seemed strained enough and he felt lying would only exacerbate the problem further. Still, for a moment he rubbed his chin with thought before finally giving a command.

"Kaminov, move closer to the abandoned drone for a pick up. West, keep an eye on a android for now." Abdul went over to the intercom. "Specialist Cui, get your drones up and running for a pick up in approximately seven minutes."

--------------------------------------------------

Cui left in a huff, leaving Yukino alone with Emerson. Emerson was a good person in Yukino's mind and he expressed that she needed to go to the medical bay. Perhaps he could cure her problems, she thought. She carefully picked herself up from her. With a light pull, she slowly thrust herself upright from her bunk. Still, she felt so weak. She didn't know why but she felt so weak.

"Doctor..." Yukino weakly called out.

Cui listened to the intercom, she then pulled up a display and green lit the drones for launch, all that was needed was for the pilot to initiate the launch. The opposite drone was still prepared from after she did maintenance on it before the stop at Haros.
"Orders received captain, preparing drones for launch." Cui responded curtly into the intercom.

Cui unlocked the manual bolts on the outer hatch and sealed the maintenance access panels. The entire situation made Cui laugh out loud for a few minutes as she continued working on her little extra credit project. Never underestimate the human ability to blissfully spear tackle ignorance. After all, that's why half of her resume and records were blacked out, wouldn't want everyone to realize the reason their space activities were still held back is because those trillions of dollars are still healthily guzzling into AI controlled interceptor aircraft, combat androids and power armor.
The concept of mutual destruction was alive and well, but all it did was turn espionage and tech theft/sabotage into a kind of sport for corporations and nations.

Cui sighed as she began to dismantle and cut up her headcase. Of course this crap happens on a mission where she doesn't get to pull apart wanky corporate spies with an industrial power loader.
"Just my luck." Cui muttered to herself as she continued her alterations.

Nikolai couldn't believe what was going on now. The Commander had appeared, telling the one of the security officers that wasn't knocked out, to unhand the robot. The robot then, of all things, claimed to have done them a favor, that it was simply doing what was best for the mission, and whatnot.

As if.

Nikolai had a feeling it was making up facts, and that was certainly not only because he thought that it was creepy and malfunctioning. Not to mention, its reasons for being there was dubious at best.

Of course, I could be wrong, seeing as this is rather far from my fields. However, even Cui was vary of it, and that shouldn't be ignored.

It seemed even the security officer accepted what it said and let go; only asked for more details. That was the last straw that caused Nikolai to speak up. It seemed that among the people remaining in the room, only the pilot hadn't completely lost her mind.

"Excuse me?" He started, and pointed at the robot. "That thing just threatened with violence just now! You can't reason like this with artificial intelligence!" As clueless as he was when it came to robots, he knew that for a fact. The robot wasn't a human with a human mind, if it was ready to attack earlier, it wouldn't change its mind after being told off. "Heck, even a human who had done something like this should've been taken into arrest, interrogated, anything to make sure this faulty device doesn't murder us all in our sleep! Of course, you all seem eager to let that happen right now!"

Screw being curious about the thing they were approaching. Sure, it was interesting, and sure, he'd love to take a look at it. But right now, that piece of junk was acting more than suspicious, yet they had just decided it was not a hazard like that. Nikolai glared at the commander. "Aren't you taking this situation a little too easy? We could be dealing with a faulty piece of equipment, there's clearly something off with it, yet you're outright ignoring that."

Cockpit: David, Arc, Natasha, Abdul, Nikolai

David took the Data Cube, eyeing it up as he held it in his hand before pocketing it, Keen on digging though it to see what happened to his partner.

"West, keep an eye on a android for now."

"Aye Aye, Cap'n, Aye Aye..." He said to Abdul before giving a quick salute and making his way out of the Cockpit, dragging the Android with him as he did.

"That thing just threatened with violence just now! You can't reason like this with artificial intelligence! Heck, even a human who had done something like this should've been taken into arrest, interrogated, anything to make sure this faulty device doesn't murder us all in our sleep! Of course, you all seem eager to let that happen right now!"

"Nicky, I know for a fact your concerns, they are my own to the letter. And I can assure you..." He said to Nikolai before glaring at Arc.
"...That will not happen on my ship." He finished before he began moving the Android out the cockpit, keeping his weapon where he could easily get a shot in.
Pulling out the cube again, he let it float around in Zero-G for a bit as he escorted the Android before snatching it back up and asking "...so...I'm not seeing a USB-5 slot on this thing, Mind cracking this open or whatever the term is?"
Clearly, such advanced tech was WAY out of bounds for such a highly trained military operative.

"Kaminov, move closer to the abandoned drone for a pick up."

"Aye, Captain." Natasha replied, returning to her seat, leaving the rest of them to bicker. While she didn't like the situation, at all, the Captain was at least right to remind them that the crew of the Elijah were still out there, their fate unconfirmed. The military bravado in Natasha wasn't about to leave those souls behind, nor fail to complete her mission, even if it did mean that she'd have to sleep with one eye open while a potentially psychotic android prowled around the ship.

Still, her tolerance only went so far. The moment she decided that ARC's presence was detrimental to the mission they were given, she'd weld him to the nose of the ship as an extra piece of heat shielding for re-entry; and Stellar Aeronautics were welcome to bill her if they didn't like it.

"We could be dealing with a faulty piece of equipment, there's clearly something off with it, yet you're outright ignoring that.""

"Our mission to find the crew of the Elijah and that's what I'm focusing first." Abdul said as calmly as he could but then he caught the sound of himself and sighed. He looked to science officer with tired eyes. "I'm fully aware that the android broke protocol and it is my duty to keep my crew safe, for that I am sorry. Once this Elijah business is dealt with, I'll make the call and I assure you the West will do his best to keep the android from harming us."

Abdul looked back to the view, noticing the ship was inching towards the object. They ship closed in on it and the round, metallic surface of the object could be made out. It was no larger than a soccer ball but was very visible among the space debris outside.

"Kaminov, ease up and release the drone hatches." Abdul said as he moved towards the intercoms. "Yifie, the object is less than 30 meters away. The floor is yours."

The Synthetic Humanoid Prototype's metal and plastic chassis seemed to shutter for a moment, as if an electric surge had caused all of its limbs to twitch slightly, before its head began to pan about the room as if it was scanning its surroundings for the first time. ARK's acoustical sensors detected the myriad of voices within the confines of the cockpit, voices that stress analyzers detected were quite upset and it seemed that ARK was the source of the crew's ire. The Unit also found that it was holding a data cube extended towards Security Officer West.

"This Unit believes that this is for you, Security Officer West." ARK stated as it ran a quick diagnostic, attempting to diagnose what had happened to its memory banks and finding time gaps in its logs files.

"This Unit believes that this is for you, Security Officer West."

"...Ohhh...Kay..." David remarked when the Android seemed to have spaced out, maybe it really was just buggy?
Either way, he looked at the Data Cube and began looking for...whatever the on button was, just about finding it when the Android offered to join the Drone retrieval.
"No objections to the Op here. The amount of harm Android can do to the crew would be very limited out there. Besides, I want to see what happened to Yukino." He said to Abdul before making his way to one of the computers and loading up the data on the cube.
After he found the Wizard to load the cube.
And the one to find the data.
Before finally going fuck and asking "Hey, anyone know how to use one of these Cube Things?"
