"If that's the case, then you'll either have to wait or share. I don't mind either way" Cui turned as David past, prepared to give a witty retort that would have involved sexual harassment when she suddenly seemed to be overwhelmed with people. Luckily she'd had a moment to calm down before hand.

Emmerson popped in first, raising a hand which Cui high fived. She wasn't exactly in a serious mood after hearing a joke about fooling around in the shower.
"Yifie, Lee, how are you both?"
Cui turned her head in thought, before cheerily replying.
"Besides having a random nightmare about a..." the cyborg paused for a moment "... workplace accident a while back, pretty peach! How are you and your person of interest?" Cui would have been smirking a fairly evil grin if she didn't have a helmet on and half her face missing. She did however catch Nikolai walking in which helped generate the little jab. Nikolai also wanted to have a chat with her apparently. The chances of her having a shower grew slimmer and slimmer.

Nikolai started with an apology for cracking it earlier and went on to say:
"So, did you find out anything about the robot?" he asked. "Has it been behaving as it should so far?"
Cui raised a finger to answer, prepared to speak, when she felt the tug of fate, instead turning around just as ARC began speaking. Figures.
"I don't know~" she tilted her head as she dragged out the last word, hopefully he got the general jist of it. Cue glared inside her helmet, slowly stalking back into her room, getting her toiletries bag and towel, she then slowly began walking down the corridor again awkwardly, waiting to see if anyone was actually going to talk to her.

Talk about inconvenient, she knew it was a joke, but she wouldn't exactly turn down a little extra-curricular moral improvement in the shower, even though they were barely showers. Cui shook her head and waited a few moments outside the lavatory David wasn't heading into.

Yifie high fived his raised hand, causing him to start tilting backwards though he quickly steadied himself. He cracked a brief smile at the unexpectedness of the gesture. Dr. Chervenkov also entered the now quite crowded hallway and spoke to him.

"I'm very sorry about how angry I got in the station, I... I had a bit of a headache."

"It's quite alright," he replied "I was certainly overly harsh on you, though I cannot stress the importance of exercise, as for your headache that and swelling aren't terribly uncommon symptoms of being in zero gravity, just stay hydrated and if it gets worse I can issue you something for it."

"... workplace accident a while back, pretty peach! How are you and your person of interest?"

"That's good to hear, I'm just fine," he said, he noticed her glancing at the arriving Dr. Chervenkov and easily got her meaning "You're all my persons of interest, but you'd have to ask Dr. Chervenkov how he is in particular."

"Pardon the intrusion, but this unit's schematics indicate that there is a third lavatory located within the area designated for the Ship's Captain's personal use. There should also be a fourth lavatory if the All Terrain Exploration Craft has been loaded within the Cargo Hold S.S. Juliet."

"You need your schematics updated then," Emerson replied to the robot, before turning to follow Yifie down the hallway, he also needed a shower and that part of it had become too crowded. Besides he had a few questions he wanted to ask her.

"If you need someone to talk to about nightmares I'm happy to listen, or if you're just having trouble sleeping I might be able to help as well," he said in a friendly manner, catching up to her as she emerged from her room "I also wouldn't mind the chance to examine your cybernetics more closely, if you don't mind my saying, I've never met someone with such extensive modification."

He wasn't a specialist on cybernetics of course, but he was qualified to perform surgery to install, remove, or adjust such things and Yifie's extensive augmentation was rather interesting to him. He did worry somewhat that he might not have the skill to operate on her given all of them, but he'd been reading up on the tech to try and assuage that fear. He noticed they had stopped outside of one of the lavatories, the one David wasn't using.

"Ah, I also need a shower but you can go first," he said "I suppose I'll have to wait for you or West to finish then."

West's earlier joking remark to Yifie came to mind, but he dismissed it, while he wouldn't mind such a thing (quite the opposite in fact) he was the crew's doctor which meant it would be highly unprofessional (to say the least) to make overtures at a patient. Now if the other person made the first move that was a different story, though he wasn't hoping for such rather open to the possibility.

S.S. Juliet: Storage/Rec Room: David West, Emerson

"It's called a joke. Look it up." David said a phase several of the crew had already heard several times, his "Get out of Harassment Suit Free" card and by god he played it often.
Still, he was able to get washed, though he always found the "Showers" up here in space to feel bizarre.
Once he got all the sweat he just built up cleaned, he waltzed out of the lavatory stating "All yours." to anyone who was after it.

There should be more here, but there isn't >_<

Yukino nodded to Cui before others converged on the both of them. She politely said hi to Doctor Emmerson despite what he had done to Nikolai followed by saying that she was fine. She also couldn't help but hear David's remark. While she saw that it was a joke, Yukino thought it wasn't really just funny and shook her head. As more people drifted to them, Yukino drifted away from them seeing as how clogging up the corridor was bad if there was an emergency. So, she floated towards the cockpit where she saw Natasha vigilantly piloting the ship. Finally letting her curiosity get the better of her, Yukino entered the cockpit. The door opened with an audible swoosh as she entered.

"Hey, everything here?" Yukino asked jokingly as she entered. She gave the room a good scan, seeing the communication computers along with the dashboard. Then her eyes drifted upwards to see the twinkling stars ahead of them. The ship was going fast, already traversing the solar system at a fast rate. Saturn was already being passed by the time Yukino entered the cockpit. "With a view like this, I should have been a pilot." Yukino said, gazing out the cockpit.

Cui saw that the one shower was still left and recalled David had fairly quick showers, so she figured tying up one lavatory wouldn't be too bad. She'd taken in everything Emerson had said and turned, her upper back leaning against the door to the lavatory. Cui shifted her bathroom bag's strap over her shoulder and looked back at Emerson. Her helmet was directly 'looking' at his face but the woman was eying him up and down. Cui didn't perform any over the top gestures or alter her speech in a way that could be misinterpreted, she simply stated a few things and asked a question.

"I do my exercises before I wash myself due to the different circumstances of my muscles so you don't get to examine it and you've yet to give me a decent look over. I'd also prefer it if you had a little more experience concerning my 'ample' augmentation in case I manage to get in an accident." Cui's words were clear and concise, plausible and fair.

"Go get anything you need to wash yourself after I'm done and you can perform a pseudo examination while I do my exercises and wash myself, I trust everyone in the crew, including you, which leads me to sincerely doubt you'd do anything dodgy. Not to mention I doubt you'd be interested anyway considering..." Cui caught herself being a little self esteem deprived and quickly shook her head. She wasn't one to fish for compliments.

"I'll leave the door unlocked for a few minutes, if you'd prefer to just give me a proper examination in your office and force me to do all my exercises a second time I won't hold it against you." Cui gave a bit of a giggle and turned, opening the door. She stepped in lithely and placed her bag down. Truth be told she was still a little rattled and didn't want to be left alone with her thoughts for a while.

"Hey, everything here?"

"Oh, hey Yu." Natsha replied casually, and beckoned the security officer inside with a smile, before facing forward again.

"With a view like this, I should have been a pilot."

"It's really something, huh." Natasha said, though there was something absent-minded, even troubled, in her tone. Natasha had always marvelled at the concept of flight, whether in atmosphere or beyond it; and, having gone on one mission to Alpha Centuri, her eyes had seen further into the cosmos than most others living in her time. She had, quite literally, been living her dream for 15 years now, and yet when she looked out into the beyond, she didn't gaze in awe like the others did. Natasha was constantly on the lookout for danger, trying to spot potential collision hazards thousands of miles before they came too close for comfort, making sure that the ship never fell too deep into the gravity wells of passing planets or other celestial bodies, or else taking care to avoid dangerous levels of space radiation, capable of passing through the Juliet's shielding. She spent most of her day on board looking out into the epic emptiness of space, but she never felt like she would waste a second marvelling at it. The one time she allowed her concentration to wane, could well be the one time she was needed to be fully alert.

"Yu..." she said, after a time. " Do you think at some point, when you're not to busy, you might find the time to have a talk with David? He might be more inclined to listen to you, considering your responsibilities on board are the same as his."

Natasha paused for a second, wanting to phrase herself in the right way.

"It's not that I don't share his concerns. I do, maybe more than anyone else on board. I'm the pilot. When things happen, this hunk of metal that separates us from what's out there, is in my hands. That makes me just as responsible for the well-being of the crew as any doctor or security personnel. So, when we get sent out on our own to investigate something that, for whatever reason, another ship crewed by experienced and talented astronauts didn't come back from, you can be damn sure that I'm feeling the pressure. That said, what do we have to go on, really? We have some unintelligible noises on the other end of a radio broadcast. That's proof of nothing; and yet David seems to have already concluded the worst in his head, and insists that we must be headed for an interstellar political incident with beings from another planet. To say nothing of how far he's jumping the gun, on the off-chance that he'd right, it will be his inability to deal with his nerves that causes an incident.

He doesn't want to listen to me, or Emerson apparently, but I was hoping that he might listen to you."

"I'll leave the door unlocked for a few minutes, if you'd prefer to just give me a proper examination in your office and force me to do all my exercises a second time I won't hold it against you."

"No its quite alright, so long as you're comfortable with it," he said, heading to his room to grab his toiletries before returning. He managed to get back just in time for David to exit his shower, offering it to him.

He shook his head declining "Yifie has asked me to examine her, as she does exercises before showering," he replied, trying to phrase it in a way to not cause any insinuations in West's mind. He'll think whatever he likes I suppose, I'd just prefer that neither of us had to deal with rumors.

He moved into the lavatory, locking the door behind him for the sake of privacy. He found a place to set his bag and settled back to watch Yifie.

"I'm glad you trust me enough to let me do this, if me presence starts to make you uncomfortable just let me know and I'll leave," he said "I'm not sure why you think I wouldn't be interested though, you're an attractive woman, I'll admit some of your augmentations can be a bit unsettling, but overall they have an elegance that adds to your own."

He tried not to sound overly familiar as he didn't want to make her uncomfortable, but he wasn't lying. The only augmentation of hers that really seemed unusual to him was the part that had replaced the lower half of her jaw. The other parts, though obviously mechanical, were easy enough for him to look on, he had seen enough amputees in his work after all, though of course usually it was just a limb or a hand they had lost.

Crew Quarters: David West

"[sub]Pfff...Scared of Aliens[/sub]..." David scoffed as he returned to his usual perch at his own bunk/pod/what-have-you.
While what Emerson said had somewhat rattled him, he felt like he could look someone dead in that eye and say-
"I am not afraid of Aliens..." He repeated to himself as he picked up his tablet and reopened that old Space Invaders game he was playing earlier.
Yeah, I mean, If I was afraid of aliens, I wouldn't be able to play this game! I'm finnnnneeeee... He kept telling himself as he began snuffing out countless 8-bit aliens on his tablet, trying not to think of the mission ahead.
...Just hope they don't think something that isn't true...I don't want to get court marshaled because the shrink thinks I'm a coward... He then feared, causing a lone alien to suddenly reach the bottom of the screen and give him a game over.
"Aw, sonofa-....Alright, you want a war you slimy alien pricks?! Lets go!"

"I don't know~"

Cui had replied, as the robot arrived. It was being even more strange now, its surface mimicking a towel.

"Yeah, okay, that's fine."

It's looking more and more creepy now.

At one point or another, he would have to do something about it. He wasn't sure what, Nikolai wasn't that kind of scientist, and the robot was a part of the mission now. But something.

I wonder if I could get something to cover it, like a blanket.

Of course, by now he was getting almost used to it, dreadful as that was. Still, it was obvious that if Cui did have something to say, she couldn't say it while the robot was nearby. Nikolai would have to let it go for now.

"It's quite alright. I was certainly overly harsh on you, though I cannot stress the importance of exercise, as for your headache that and swelling aren't terribly uncommon symptoms of being in zero gravity, just stay hydrated and if it gets worse I can issue you something for it."

Nikolai smiled slightly in return, at least Emerson wasn't insulting him this time. Sure, it wasn't an apology, but almost. "Yes, I know," he replied, although in a more upbeat tone. "I'll take care to drink a lot of water. Oh, and I'll go exercise now, so I remember to do it."

He was about to leave, but he stalled as he heard Cui tell Emerson that he was allowed to... "examine" her in the shower. Obviously, that didn't mean the professional kind of examining. Nikolai expected to hear that Emerson would reply with a sharp "My job doesn't give me such benefits" or something. However, Emerson, disregarding his sense of job morals, promptly agreed.

Oh.

Right. Of course. Wasn't it always like that? Nikolai supposed he had acted similar before, disregarding certain responsibilities in order to pursue more pleasurable... studies. Still, he felt a pang of jealousy, and left for the gym, feeling annoyed. He started working out, running. After a long while -it felt like that at least- he stopped and unstrapped himself, taking a break and relaxing. Having ran out most of his aggression, he found himself feeling disappointed, if nothing else.

Cui'd already changed while the door was open, she was only in her underwear and a loose t-shirt now. Her headcase was off and her hair was still done up, she was stretching as Emerson came in, he then locked the door.

"I'm glad you trust me enough to let me do this, if me presence starts to make you uncomfortable just let me know and I'll leave," Cui raised an eyebrow as she hooked her legs around one of the hand rails and began to stretch her abdominal muscles. She understood he was probably asking because Nikolai kept getting his panties in a twist, thus informing Emerson she was fine with exercise and being observed while doing it, she just simply didn't see the point in occupying the gym when the majority of the equipment wouldn't do much for her at all.
"I'm not sure why you think I wouldn't be interested though, you're an attractive woman, I'll admit some of your augmentations can be a bit unsettling, but overall they have an elegance that adds to your own."
Cui finished up and stood up, stretching again. She was confused as to what Emerson was going on about. She'd told him she trusted the crew not to do anything dodgy to her because she had cybernetics and nearly insulted him by assuming he probably wouldn't be interested in major augmentation but had thought better of it.

Cui finished up her exercises and took her shirt off, she was now down to just her bra and panties. The woman's body, what remained of it, was lean and fit, with her ribs and abs partially visible. she bent over and put the shirt inside her bag, then took out a small towel and some little bottles of various sizes. She flicked on the 'shower and tried to get her hair as wet as possible as she quickly undid her two twin tails. She put some of the annoying shampoo on the little towel and began to work it through her hair. The cyborg turned her pale brown eyes to Emerson, stating flatly "Well I assume I'm off your no exercise watch dog list, unlike our poor comrade Nikolai."
The woman stood up, rinsing out her hair, she then began to wash her body down, making sure Emerson could get a decent look at where her body went from flesh to synthetics. Cui decided to skip her little dreams and go onto something she felt was more pressing. As she dried herself off her voice came firm "Is there a particular reason why the captain hasn't been interacting with the crew? Also know that like others, I feel the need to express concern over David's... well, xenophobia."

Cui finished drying herself off and put her loose t-shirt back on, fixing up her possessions and putting them in her bag. She then stood, turned to Emerson and grabbed onto his shoulders, she then leaned in, stopping short of rubbing noses with him so he could get a look at her 'mouth' and neck. The woman looked into his eyes, hers had a sly gleam as her slightly altered voice began to whisper "Concerning crew... relations..." the cyborg leaned into Emerson, resting her cheek barely off his.

"I really think you should stop making it so obvious you're obsessed with Nikolai. I mean the second I worked out he was into men you two bickering really started to make more sense." Cui gave Emerson a little hug and stepped back, reaching into her bag. "I figure I should start hanging out with the crew more, so I might exercise with everyone else now that I know people don't react to it negatively, thanks for that." Cui's eyes shut and her cheeks raised in what would have been a smile as she pulled her hand out of her bag and dropped some condoms into Emerson's hand.

"I don't know which one of you is the big spoon, but you guys have fun now." Cui patted Emerson on the shoulder and made her way to the door, which she unlocked. She'd barely taken much time at all, so she doubted anyone would make the mistake that she was pelvic pumping one of the homosexual white collar civilians.

The cyborg leaned against the door, absent mindedly tugging her shirt down so people couldn't check out her underwear when she was walking back to get some apparel sorted out. "I kind of chewed your ear off, but figured you didn't want to wait for a shower. Anything to say or do you just want to talk later?" Cui flicked the switch so the door opened as she waited for the response. She preferred to dry her hair in her room and it would only get wetter if someone else used the shower again and she was still in there.

"Is there a particular reason why the captain hasn't been interacting with the crew? Also know that like others, I feel the need to express concern over David's... well, xenophobia."

"Not that I know of, and yes though David's xenophobia as it were troubles me less than his inability to remain calm about such matters," Emerson replied, paying attention to each exercise in turn and making mental notes regarding where and how her cybernetics met her flesh. While she showered he paid some attention to her movements and how they differed from the norm.

She finished showering quickly and exited the shower, drying herself off and starting to get dressed again. She approached very close to him, leaning in so her cheek was resting on his. It took him a moment to realize she was giving him a close look at her mouthpiece, and even then it was difficult to focus on the augmentation.

"I really think you should stop making it so obvious you're obsessed with Nikolai. I mean the second I worked out he was into men you two bickering really started to make more sense."

What? Emerson frowned, confused, as Yifie gave him a quick hug and stepped back, reaching into her bag for something. She pulled out a pair of condoms and set them in his hand.

"I don't know which one of you is the big spoon, but you guys have fun now."

Emerson laughed, the unexpectedness of the statement and gesture catching him off guard. He shook his head and looked up at her, still smiling in bemusement.

"I kind of chewed your ear off, but figured you didn't want to wait for a shower. Anything to say or do you just want to talk later?

"I'm sorry to disappoint you but Nikolai and I are not a couple, and I am quite straight," he said, handing the condoms back to her "I suppose I should stop being on his case so much though, so people don't get the wrong idea if for no other reason."

He started to undress, taking off his shirt, and moving towards the shower "I'd be happy to talk to you later, but I should probably shower now."

Cui's lean body went a little rigid as she paused, with a finger in the air. She was going for a witty retort, but instead a single eyebrow twitched as she reached down slowly. The sensors within her finger tips confirming her suspicions that the shower had made her undergarments fairly soaked. Cui's mind had temporarily frozen as she felt her cheeks begin to heat up rapidly. She was sure he didn't get a good look at anything, but he if he did he wouldn't have much to leave to his imagination.

Cui stepped through the door and gave a little salute, calmly suggesting "Maybe next time we can do with more people, I don't know about you but I do miss gossiping in the bathroom." Cui gave a little wave as the door shut, she then used the opportunity to quietly bang her head against a wall a few times.

Cui looked around before giving herself a minute for a breather. She had no idea who kept writing that she was good for social cohesion on all of her reviews. Although maybe she had a positive effect on stagnation and cabin fever, who knew.
Cui walked back over to her room, made sure nobody else was in there or conscious enough to be paying attention and stripped, putting on underwear, unused shorts intended for the gym she'd yet to use and a loose fitting tank top. She'd gotten her last bra soaked in the shower to her dismay, but resolved that she'd just cross her arms a lot and make sure not to lean forward while talking.

Cui left her things, including her helmet in her pod except for some hair ties and a comb and entered the gym. She sat near Nikolai and started to comb her hair, placing her hair ties on her lap. She hadn't been long, so hopefully nobody had spread rumors about her, after all, you usually pull stuff like that the end of the mission, not the start.
Cui simply blurted out "Well, I thought Emerson was gay and had a thing for you, but turns out I was wrong. So yeah, I think I'll exercise with everyone so I'm not left out. Also I can keep an eye on your lazy ass." Cui's voice was a little rushed.
"I know everyone who sleeps in the same room as me has seen me in my undies at some point anyway, also he is a doctor, but..." Cui gave a little shiver, she preferred to be the one taking charge when it came to potential romantic or sexual situations and wasn't having much fun getting caught out by surprise. Cui raised her arms up in exhaustion and let out an annoyed sigh. She then leaned forward, waving her comb at Nikolai "I honestly thought you two had a thing going. Sorry to be blunt, but you're into guys aren't you? If I'm wrong about you as well I might as well hang up my social sheriff badge for good." Cui gave a short laugh that turned into a drawn out sigh. She then straightened up and continued to comb her hair.

S.S. Juliet | Corridor

"You need your schematics updated then," Emerson stated before walking down the corridor. Scanning the corridor, ARK noted that the unit was now alone. Once again, it appeared that ARK's task to record its interactions with the crew had been brought to a standstill as none of the crew appeared to be particularly wanting to interact with ARK itself. Finding its current model for interaction to be a failure, ARK proceeded towards the aft section of the cargo hold, where its data and recharge hub had been relocated.

If ARK's schematics were out of date, it was logical that the personality profiles were out of date as well and would therefore need to be updated as well. However, since the Android would be unable to download an updated set of personnel files from Control, new profiles would have to be generated from scratch.

Plugging itself into the Data Hub, the Synth created a secure connection between itself and the security console and began tapping into the ship's camera feeds, recording and observing what each of the crew members did.

"He doesn't want to listen to me, or Emerson apparently, but I was hoping that he might listen to you."

"I'm not sure he'll listen to anyone." Yukino remarked, wondering about David and his uneasiness about possible first contact. She wondered exactly why the man would fear something like this because after all they were astronauts and possible contact with aliens came with the risks associated with being an explorer of space.

"But, I'll try." Yukino said with a hint of confidence. She let out a sigh before leaving the room. Yukino floated through the corridor before arriving where David usually sleeps and not surprisingly he was there playing on his tablet. She gave a knock on the wall so she could get hold of his attention.

"David, we need to talk." Yukino drifted closer to David so she wouldn't have to raise her voice. "When I became an astronaut, I didn't think this day would come to be honest. I didn't think that there would be something closer to us than we could ever imagine and like you I'm... unsure of what really lies out there. But for the sake of the mission and the sake of the men and women aboard Elijah we have to be strong. We have to carry on even if we are scared. When we face whatever is out there, how do you think they will respond to a nervous crew? We have to present ourselves with confidence. We may not be diplomats but we are something better. We are humanity's bravest and smartest and you need to start acting like it. Believe it or not, confidence is universal. If we aren't confident then what's going to happen to the crew of Elijah? What's going to happen if we do encounter beings unlike anything we have ever seen? Fear is also universal and if we act scared then they too will act scared. So for the better of us, the crew we need to man up. You and me. I promise I won't let anything happen to you or me or the crew. Not if I have anything to say about it."

As quickly as she had arrived, Yukino was gone, and now Natasha was regretting having sent her away so soon. Still, something had to be done about David, and Yu was likely the best person to do it. On this ship, there wasn't exactly anything in the way of quiet spaces David could go to cool off and figure things out for himself.

Feeling restless, Natasha turned back forward and tried to focus on flying, before quickly concluding that she was far too restless for that too.

'Give yourself a break woman. Someone else can take a shift. It's a long journey, and you may well need to be on form later.'

Hitting the release on her straps, Natasha tumbled in the air, tucking herself in tight and allowing her own centrifugal force to speed her up, testing out her Cochlear implants. When she'd first received them, courtesy of the Russian Air Force Pilot Enhancement Program, she had been told that the balance aids would make pulling 3G in a MiG feel like she was sitting still. So far, she'd had no cause to doubts that boast. Even as her world began to transition between ceiling and floor several times a second, Natasha was still able to calmly distinguish was was up and what was down. Next up, her reflexes, and, picking her moment, Natasha shot out her hand and grabbed hold of the bulkhead at the threshold to the cockpit, bringing herself to a halt with perfect precision.

Floating down the hall, Natasha went in search of the Captain, or else the android that had joined them after Haros station. Finding the latter in the cargo hold, she cleared her throat, a little unsure if she needed to do anything specific to get the things attention.

"ARK." She announced, choosing to address the robot as she would anyone else. "If you're not too busy, can you please take a turn at the helm of the ship. Our coordinates are already programmed, I just need you to inform me immediately if anything goes wrong while I'm in the gym."

Crew Quarters: David, Yukino

"David, we need to tal-"

"Hold that thought." David interrupted as he seemed deep in concentration as he lined up his last shot, followed by a sadistic glee at the sound of that final projectile smashing into an 8 bit alien.
"Yeah...That last one is always a prick to get rid of. Cracking Yu?" He then asked as he hit pause on his game.

"When I became an astronaut, I didn't think this day would come to be honest. I didn't think that there would be Blah closer to us than Blah could ever Blah and like Blah I'm...Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah-Not if I have anything to say about it."

"...Yu...What in the name of Saint Patrick's Trouser Snake are you talking about?..." David bluntly asked, not really getting what she was talking about, least not until he thought about what he told Emerson.
"Is this about Emerson thinking I'm afraid of Aliens? I'm going to tell you what I told him, I think they could sent a different team, but fuck it, too late to argue with the commander now. Listen, if you think that I would even be here if I was afraid of Aliens, then maybe you should exercise the muscles in your brain!" He jabbed at the other have of the security team.
"Look, What I think about the mission is that I shouldn't be on it, but I'm here so I'll do it and I'll do it well, You know that for a fact. Now, unless there is anything else..." He said before getting back to his game, seemingly more focused on blasting the shit out of those aliens.

"Well, I thought Emerson was gay and had a thing for you, but turns out I was wrong. So yeah, I think I'll exercise with everyone so I'm not left out. Also I can keep an eye on your lazy ass. I know everyone who sleeps in the same room as me has seen me in my undies at some point anyway, also he is a doctor, but..."

"You thought he was gay and let your guard down? That's why you told him he could do that?" Nikolai asked. He supposed he could see why that would bother her. At least she seemed to have asked him, so now Nikolai didn't have to.

I'm a bit disappointed, but I expected that.

He had. At least before Emerson had started fussing over him, but that turned out to just be Emerson doing his job. Still, he shrugged. "That's... well. I figured it was something a bit different from that, to be honest. Not that it matter much if things happened, but from the amount of time it took, I suppose not," he admitted. "Sorry. Although Emerson certainly shouldn't have accepted that readily, as a professional physician he should be aware of the consequences of doing something that can be that easily misunderstood." Nikolai would have told Cui that she shouldn't have given the doctor the permission either, but she wasn't involving her job in something like this.

Still, she should be more careful.

"I honestly thought you two had a thing going. Sorry to be blunt, but you're into guys aren't you? If I'm wrong about you as well I might as well hang up my social sheriff badge for good."

"Assuming is risky," Nikolai said, sounding serious. He leaned much closer. "For all you know, I could be very heterosexual. And, considering where we are and how long we've been here, I could very well be thinking about having my way with you right now." Nikolai sat back and smiled, teasingly. "But, I'm not into women, just men, so you can keep your social sheriff badge. I'd get a gun to accompany it, though, even if I doubt anyone here would do anything bad. I could very well be mistaken, and we're going to be here for quite a while. From my experience as a man, and with men, when they want to do it, they can get..." He wasn't sure what the right word would be, however, he settled on one that sounded fairly serious. "Aggressive. Not usually, you know. That bad. I'm not saying they'll force you. But aggressive enough." Nikolai laid down, completely relaxed now. He'd have to shower at some point, but he was hardly smelly, and the showers would probably be occupied for a while more.

"So, does it look like the doctor is keeping up his training? Would be good to know whether or not I could use that against him. Or you know, just know if he looks good underneath his clothes. Either explanation works."

Emerson's smile faded as Yifie reacted to his statement, she spoke calmly but her embarrassment was fairly evident from how she stiffened up and the pause before she spoke. He sighed and closed and locked the door behind her, finished undressing and did a few stretches before moving into the shower. He was still in excellent shape in spite of his age, or perhaps the stress of his job, starting to catch up to him but the stretching helped him manage the variety of small maladies inflicted by zero gravity.

I wonder if I should apologize for making her embarrassed or uncomfortable, she was the one who acted based on an assumption, but all the same it wouldn't be a bad idea. He shrugged and started up the shower, he didn't feel that he should have to apologize for someone else's mistake but then again he probably shouldn't have laughed at her either. There isn't much for her to be embarrassed about other than the assumption though, I didn't see much through the shower door and I'd like to think I stayed professional the whole time. Still maybe I should assure her of my professionalism.

He showered quickly, stepped out, dried off, and got dressed. He stowed his toiletries back in the living quarters and went off in search of Yifie, though he was still undecided on exactly what to say to her.

S.S. Juliet Cargo Hold

The Android was already well aware that Pilot Natasha was on her way towards the aft potion of the Cargo Hold and calculated that she would be quite distressed to find that ARK was in the process of observing the crew members via the on-board audio and video pickups. Closing it connection to the data stream, the Synth waited for the arrival of the helms woman.

"ARK. If you're not too busy, can you please take a turn at the helm of the ship. Our coordinates are already programmed, I just need you to inform me immediately if anything goes wrong while I'm in the gym."

The request simple enough and only required monitoring of flight data to ensure that the ship did not accidentally run into any anomalous objects that intersected the ship's plotted course.

"Affirmative, Pilot Natasha." ARK stated as it unloaded the SK_Cooking_GRamsey subroutine from memory and loaded SK_Pilot_Sulu.

"OH MY!" The Synth blurted out randomly as SK_Pilot_Sulu came online, causing ARK to disable to its vocal output for a moment.

"Apologies, Pilot Natasha. Enjoy your work out." The Synth stated before waiting for a response from the pilot.

Natasha raised an eyebrow at the android's... unorthodox response, before leaving it to its own devices and heading back up towards the gym, where Cui and Nikolai were already chatting.

"Hi." Natasha said airily as she drifted into the room, and started dressing down. Underneath her flight-suit, she was already wearing her black, tight-fitting sports vest and shorts. After slipping into and lacing up her running shoes, Natasha manoeuvred herself into a rowing machine, setting the strength of the workout to high.

"So, what were you guys talking about?" she asked, as she settled into a rhythm.
