I looked through the set list since i'm hyped for this game. And they missed out Metallica (One of my favorite bands) can you see a reason why they would do that?

Obviously they didn't want to add it. Its missing out on fair music, but its not going to be the bane of the whole game.

They are too awesome, like avenged sevenfold, so they're saving it for a sequel to cash in money into the franchise.

Maybe because Metallica didn't want to sell their music to the game? Or because, although good, it just wouldn't fit?

Or possible DLC... Or, they just felt that there were bands that were more appropriate than Metallica.

Could be related to a licensing issue of the music. It seems like Activision may have it's thumb over Metallica tracks featured in a video games for now.

Or perhaps Metallica wanted too much money. ::shrug::

Maybe they realized most hardcore metalheads hate Metallica with a passion. I doubt this is the reason though considering Dragonforce is on it and every metalhead I've ever met considers them overrated and average as hell.

Maybe since it's a game for metal fans, and Metallica is already in other games. Maybe there are licensing issues with those other games (Rock Band). Maybe the developers simply don't like them.

If you want to listen to Metallica while playing the game, just use the XBox media player or PS3 equivalent. Don't get a game for a soundtrack, unless the game is the soundtrack (RB/GH/DDR).

It's probably because Metallica already got their own game. You know, Guitar Hero: Metallica.

Wait, you can listen to music on the PS3 while playing games?

How doesn't "King Nothing" fit into a game where you control a bunch of nothings that continuously bang their heads...

either
1)metallica didnt give consent to use their music
2)the people who made brutal legend are metal fans themselves (and hence, dont like metallica anymore)

So, is no one going to say it? Fine, I will.

METALLICA SUCKS.

There, I said it. It's out in the open. Now let's deal with this like adults.

Metallica was a great band, for a time. However, I have two distinct reasons that put it lower on my list than Dragonforce (*Minor Spoilers* Who as far as I'm concerned only got in because they have one song that is good to run away from what is basically the apocalypse to.*Minor Spoilers Ended)

1. They WERE good. Now, they've just gone downhill, with the culmination of selling out in the form of a guitar hero game. To be IN a Guitar Hero game? That's an honor, good for you. To have your OWN Guitar Hero game? Stupid.

2. If they had never existed, Avril Lavigne would never have tried to sing Fuel. That *****.

maybe beacuse the game is set around like 80s metal rather than newer metal.
You're kidding, right?
Metallica is from the 80's! Just because they have new albums(Even though their older stuff was good) doesn't mean that they are newer.
Same goes for AC/DC, I'm still a hardcore fan. Just not of the new stuff.
