If you think that, well, that's fine, it's your opinion, but that doesn't make it correct. The reality is, this game is so loaded with injokes, cameo appearances and other references that it's not trying to appeal to the wannabe, it's geniunely for the metal fan. There is so much that a person who isn't familiar with metal simply won't get, things that they won't be able to enjoy unless they GET metal. For example, many of ozzy's sayings when you leave, if you've ever seen him in concert, well, you'll be able to wax nostalgic over, if not, you'll simply think he's just reading from a script (he obviously is, but the lines are taken directly from his live performances). OH YEAH, and the fucking soundtrack is fantastic. It's got everything from classics like "mr. crowley" and "in the black" to lesser known awesome like "murmaider" and "cathode ray sunshine". I believe mr. schafer knows his metal, if not, then jack black certainly does, and it comes across mightily. This game is meant to appeal mainly to the metal fan, but it also does it's fair share of trying to ease people into the genre. Right up until "her ghost in the fog" begins to play as you battle a boss and scares the shit out of anybody that has anything less then a true interest in metal.
AND YES, IT IS WORTH CORRECTING IF YOUR FRIEND IS IN ANY WAY INCORRECT. LETTING IT SLIDE IS THE KIND OF THINKING THAT HAS LEAD (american) CULTURE TO THE SAD AND NEGLECTED STATE IT'S IN NOW. My point is, if everybody becomes accepting of ridiculous behavior and poor taste, eventually, poor taste and stupidity become the norm, and those who rant against it, are ostracized. This in turn, leads to the eventual degradation of everything that requires some form of quality, whether it's music, video games, and even literature. Everything that was once good is left intellectually barren as to appeal to the more intellectually flawed elements in society, which by this point, is near everybody. If you like any band called LMFAO you are fucking wrong.
