Ninja Gaiden 2 on Master Ninja difficulty. Fighting the first boss while trying to avoid the explosive shurikan throwing ninjas.

That whole battle to me is bullshit.
All the other boss fights in that game at that level are probably more difficult but no one actually knows since the game is only possible to beat in the dream realm :)

The first and worst had to be NHL 99 on PlayStation. It included ridiculous difficulty settings. The easy ones were too easy and the hard one, which I played often, lead to a 9 game losing streak. This happened mainly because I couldn't score with 50 shots on net but the opposition could score on one of three shots. To add insult to injury, it was from behind the blue line. (For those that are football fans and don't know hockey well, it is the equivalent of scoring a goal from 40 yards out.)

Pokemon soulsilver, the last gym leader is way, way above the level for her region, 22, and her pokemon are level 38-41, with the stats of level 45's. d'you know how much freaking grinding that means?!
what else...any game where enemies out range you by 10 to one...or strategy games where the AI isn't hindered by having a pointer.
I don't know what you did wrong, but the 22's to me looked like a fail in the programming since you're fighting 30's on the way to Cianwood.

And anyways, a balanced party of 6 still put me at 36 for everyone.

Now the elite four, thats something that you have to get grinding for.

You're lucky to get 2 levels on everyone by the time you get ot the other side of victory road and they are all between 40 and 52. The only real challenge is your rival and even he can;t really compare to you.

Hopefully you got to Red and realized that whining about Clair was quite a useless complaint compared to the strongest not-your-pokemon in any pokemon game ever.

He's in a level 40-50 area where he is between 80-88.

I assume that that's where your EV training/breeding comes into play, making level somewhat less of a problem.

My BS moment definitely belongs to Fallout 3 and the ridiculous instability of the game.

1) I start a new game as an unarmed character. A few hours later I manage to find the schematics for the Deathclaw Gauntlet. Another hour later, I manage to find my first Deathclaw. Too bad its hand was sticking out of my face. I reload a previous save, find another one, and it's one of those many flying Deathclaws that manage to fling themselves halfway across the Capital Wasteland. FFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-

2) Oh poop, I, for whatever reason, need to alt-tab. Okay. Fallout 3 has stopped working. Fan-tastic.

3) Supermutant Overlords. That is all.

yea, those overlords were ridiculous...bethesda was obviously trying and failing to return super-mutants to the scariness level of previous fallouts, and instead just making them annoying.

One time I was playing L4D2 with some people and a car just fell from the sky and crushed all four of us. The bloody thing came out of nowhere! I was too shocked to even swear.

The race against the cabbie in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.

He has a souped up cab, you have a family wagon. Made of bread.

And joy for the two star wanted level you get about thirty seconds into the race.

A bank heist that he gets killed in anyway, presumably because his fat threw of the trajectory off the bullets.

Anytime Peach is on the same track as me during Mario Kart. Her random and absurd bursts of speed are enough to drive an entire platoon of Cavalry Scouts to madness.

Play Fire Emblem on hard. Any Fire Emblem. No, really.

Either you'll grow the patience of Job, or you'll break your TV...and your mom's TV...and your sister's TV...

Apologies Abound

In Half-life 2, during whatever level it is where you get to control all those antlions, when you have to fight the two choppers at once, with maybe one or two spots of viable cover, and an ammo supply out in the fuckin' open, far away from any cover, with these stupid fucking rockets that fly all over the place before exploding uselessly on a roof or on you, and a now completely useless horde of giant bugs. I am still stuck on this level and I hate it with a passion.
hey atleast you found the rocket crate I didnt and I just threw barrels at em with the gravity gun yea AND I KILLED EM!
Holy shit, seriously? I've gotta give that a shot.

We've all had them, that moment when your anger at a game boils over to the point where you damage something or someone. So any games or game moments that have caused you to lose your shit?
Yes, it was Battlefield 2. I had the Full edition and everything. I'm a French Canadian, so i played on those servers. (You know, at least to be able to speak with them) 90% of the game were locked... Groups servers and competitive clan. After a hour and a half, i found a game that not ranked or lock. So i jump in.... and i meet TOMTEOWNLESFESSE. (TOMOWNEDYOURASS) I never, ever was able to touch the guy. The closest i were of killing him was when i shot his fighter plane... which he crash on my position while he ejected himself. He also was always name the best player, and me the worst. I persevere. Finally, i check my dead ration. 90% was done by him. Like if he seek me out to get experience. I said, F* that. If i bough a online game and i play on the sideline because of some dude that loved running after me only to play offline where there no fun to be had, Screw that. I gave the "at the time brand new" game to my friend and said him good luck. I think he suspected why i give it to him because he never installed it.

The fight with Sir Sweet at the end of Prinny is full of bullshit. You have to fight him on a small platform as he fires projectiles at you, a crazy amount of health, and a time limit of 3 minutes to beat him. He's fucking hard and full of utter BS.

Having my friends scream for my help in Alan Wake, only for me to totally ignore them as I search for coffee.

Was it really necessary to make that necessary for an achievement?

Not only making it impossible for me to heal NPC's when they get wounded, but preventing them from healing themselves of crippling limb wounds when they get wounded WITH THEIR OWN DAMN STIMPACKS in Fallout 3. Red got injured(hurt leg) in a Super Mutant attack. I actually reverse pick pocketed stimpacks into her inventory, and she didn't bother healing herself.

One of the biggest game moments that make me rage are escort missions, Back-tracking missions, and/or racing missions.

Escort missions and racing missions are the worst for me though. A back-tracking mission is not so bad when the mission is short. When a level is designed to be long and the back-tracking mission is designed to be just as long than it bothers me.
I really don't mind back-tracking. I like going back to old areas if the reason is interesting. I don't just like going from place to place as if they are nodes and nothing can possibly happen in a place where I have already done "everything". A true dynamic game world operates in a way where a place you haven't been in a while could present a new reason to return later.
