Playing Mass Effect 2, three times in a row I killed Harvenger, then nearly killed a different collector, and when he has a sliver of health they turn into Harvenger. THREE TIMES! On insanity!

The gi-tribe boss in FFVII, the one you encounter in the caves under Cosmo Canyon. I got beat over and over until a friend finally mentioned "Dude, he's undead. Just throw an X potion or phoenix down on him."

Pretty much every bossfight in Xenosaga. I can't remember a single one that was easy. All of them have massive amounts of HP, multi-hit attacks, spells that make those attacks 2x more effective, and on top of that sometimes the game expects you to fight two or three in a row without saving. No checkpoints.

I've had that problem with Dragon Age, but it's more my computer then anything else, on some of the bigger battles near the end I get really bad spell lag, it's horrible when I'm going up against other mages cause its really hard to disrupt their attacks or heal with potions.

Really anything to do with crit rockets in TF2. Whether it's getting one before you even get a chance to shoot or a ridiculously lucky one that ends your great spree, it'll make ya rage.

Playing Mass Effect, I walked into a room full of rocket drones without knowing. I promptly took cover before getting torn to pieces, and luckily so did the AI. I commanded Tali to use overload on a drone that was flanking us. She refused. Wrex was at no shields. I commanded wrex to use warp, but he didn't listen. Wrex was down. I open fired on a drone and Tali decided to stand in front of me, blocking my shot. Tali was down. I ran away and was hit by a rocket.

My last save was an hour away
ROFLMAO!

(Finally stops laughing) I'm sorry all of that happened to you, but that's freaking hilarious, because the same things have happened to me on occasion. However, I'm the paranoid type, always worried that if I don't end up dying due to some glitch or stupid mistake on my part, that my game will suddenly cut off on me (it's happened to me before). So I save like every 5 min.

Playing MW1 and 2 on veteran had me raging a few times, but I eventually did beat that after 70 billion attempts.

Play Fire Emblem on hard. Any Fire Emblem. No, really.

Either you'll grow the patience of Job, or you'll break your TV...and your mom's TV...and your sister's TV...

Apologies Abound
Oh I completely understand. I've only played one Fire Emblem on hard. I'll never do it again. I enjoy a good challenge, but Fire Emblem on hard mode just makes me want to bash my head against a wall.

When the AIs in Left 4 Dead save a downed AI instead of the human player. The AIs in Left 4 Dead 2 don't seem to be aware that they lose when all of the human players are dead.

When a fight that should have easily been won in Pokémon is lost because of criticals. I once had a match in the Battle Frontier that saw my 4 Pokémon go down to 3 critical hits, 1 flinch, and then a finishing blow on the flinching Pokémon. I did a lot of damage, but no team can stand in the face of such bullshit luck.

When a 100% accurate move misses. This bug is present in the first and fourth generations of Pokémon games.

Fallout 3, Mothership Zeta, went through the whole addon. Realized I didn't have my old gear, it was tucked away back at the beginning in a non-descript container that made no attempt to call attention to itself. There were respawns, with shields. Mind you, I didn't damage anything, but a swore a lot.

Back when I was playing... that racing game whose name escapes me. I would get so frustrated by the "realistic physics" that I actually would gnaw on the controller.

UT3 crashing way too often.
Don't get me wrong, I fuckin' love the game, but it crashes about once every 3 hours of playtime.
It's crashing less now, though.

How about the underwater level where you defuse the bombs on the dam in the original NES Ninja Turtles game? Screw that. Similarly, many parts from Guitar Hero games are these types of moments on first appearance, though the solo from "Jordan" in GH2 was one of the biggest since there's a good 3 minutes of song or so before that.

A boss battle in Golden Sun: Sequel Subtitle on the GBA against a robed wizard who summons red and blue (I think) balls which heals him and damages you, respectively. Good grief... There's just no telling how many hours I put into that.
Also, any CoD game on from CoD2 and onward on Veteran difficulty. Blech.

In the PC version of ME2, there is a glitch at the end of the recruiting Jack mission where one of the Blue Suns(of bitches) guys can shoot you through his cover. Of course it was always some armoured prick, which ment I couldn't just scare him out with shockwave like I usualy would.

Took me 'bout four tries.

In Assassin's Creed when Altair or Ezio suddenly decide to go solo and don't respond to my controls resulting with infuriatingly lethal drops. Ironically to make me feel better I drop them both off taller buildings >.>
