I love caffeine. Two cups of coffee in the day and a diet soda at lunch. I get headaches if I don't have it and I get really irritable if I go two days without it and gods own migraine on day three.

I used to drink probably 10-15 cups of coffee a day when I would sit and play GW for hours on end, but then I started getting random heart palputations (think that was it?) and if i didnt have any for like... 5 or 6 hours, I'd get headaches, feel dizzy & sick, and then find it really hard to get to sleep (obviously) and get up afterwards, my routine used to be wake up, have a Pro-Plus, then a coffee and cereal, then leave for college... Yeah, I was bad ><.
But yeah, I think it definitely CAN be dangerous.. but only if you're stupid enough to consume that much.

Yea like any other drug people will eventually build up a tolorence to it, unfortunately with that usually comes dependency. I know a few people who NEED their cup of coffee in the morning or turn into raving lunatics...ok maybe not that but still it ruin their day. Id hate to be one of those people.

By the way i like you, youre smart :).
I know people like that, if my mum isn't smoking, she's drinking coffee. Morning coffee is just like morning cigarette; always feels strongest as well. Some people get all shivery without - kinda creepy.

Thanks for saying I'm smart *sends friend request*
Though has to be said, you aren't exactly stupid either :D.

I haven't gotten into drinking coffee or energy drinks, although there is caffeine in soda which I drink quite frequently.

I do consume it daily but I do not think it's dangerous when consumed in small doses.

I'm addicted to green tea.

Drink about 3/4 cups every day.

If I drink 4 in an hour I begin to hallucinate...

I used to work in a coffee shop, and I pretty much owned the espresso bar because I was the best at it. I used to drink 4 shots in the morning when I got there, around 5 a.m., and then at least 2 more per hour to make sure my machines were pulling right. The migraine I got after I quit lasted for about 6 days and would have been the most horrible experience of my life had it not been for the fact that I've had 4 kidney stones, possibly caused by too much dark soda, which I also avoid like the plague now.

Yeah, I don't drink caffeine anymore.

A large Coffee (or 2 regular size cups) 3-5 days a week.

1-2 cans of Coca-Cola or Pepsi Cola daily for 5 days of the week.

I need my coffee so I don't go ballistic on the really chipper morning people.
Other than that, I don't really notice bad side effects other than my hands shake a little bit sometimes after drinking my coffee.

I drink Cola drinks like a couple of times a week and drink coffee once a month. I don't drink any energy drinks, because they cost a lot. Never actually tasted one. Heard it addicts you. Damn, not gonna give money to evil organizations.
It does and it doesn't. It all depends on the person really. HellsLuneth described a horrible reaction to Aspartame and a friend of on mine cannot touch diet products or it will send her into a hyper craze apparently, never see it happen myself. I on the other hand have not a single reaction to aspartame. Personally I believe if it only extremely problematic if you are allergic to it, which in the case of my friend is most definitely the case.

None of it is addictive in a general sense, since I have gone a full week without touching Pepsi of any kind and had no issues with it.
Well, what I've understood most energy drinks contain a lot more caffeine than pepsi. I don't usually touch diet products, because they taste like crap. You can't replace sugar with something else.
Energy drinks such as Monster and Red Bull have roughly double the amount of caffeine in them in comparison to Pepsi/Coke. What makes them work more effectively than tea or coffee is the various other ingredients used in them. Eventually though the effect will wane as your body begins to become accustom to everything.

One thing I will say, if you ever want a huge and rapid pick me up, mix alcohol (specifically vodka or rum) with an energy drink and oh hell, it lights a fire in you although the caffeine crash later is far more apparent. Only tried it once myself however I would definitely avoid making a habit of that, you know since it isn't the best of ideas.

Funny someone tossed me this link on the other site. The reason I find it amusing is all these horrid little side-effects caused Aspartame... have never been a bother. It lists severe depression, inability to see properly and all kinds of things, yet here I am being one of the most optimistic people you'll meet and my such good eye sight, my eyes have adjusted to seeing in the dark, albeit mildly. All I have from that list headaches every once in a while, insomnia and... tis about it.

Edit: Oh wait, I do feel restless and sleepy every little while however that is credited more to my only sleeping 2-5 hours a day or not sleeping at all. :p
That site is a huge load of bullshit.

Oh well aware, considering I would not be alive today if a tenth of the side-effects were true as my mother has drank diet soft drinks for the last three decades. Not to mention you would think I would have something wrong with how much I drink. It is all just myths and rumors. If Diet soft drinks were that dangerous, they would be off the shelves in a heart beat.

I love coffe, like MANY other people and I drink one or two cups almost every day. It keeps me awake through the boring parts of school, and it wakes me up in the morning. Personally I don't think it's dangerous unless you drink far too much, which is the case with many things...Coffe is about the only caffeine I get most days though, some soda but never energy drinks(they disgust me).

During Uni time I'm pretty much 90% caffeine. The only thing that can get me through long days and longer nights. The only detrimental effect I've experienced is when I didn't have any coffee or caffeine related products for like a whole day after an extended cappuccino binge and I started shaking like I had Parkinson's or something.

I'm gonna be honest, I loves me some caffeine, but no coffee.

I drink Sprite all the time when I'm on break at work, and when I'm at home I literally drink Mountain Dew Voltage like it's water. There are three 2-liters of it in my fridge right now.
