I love caffeine. Two cups of coffee in the day and a diet soda at lunch. I get headaches if I don't have it and I get really irritable if I go two days without it and gods own migraine on day three.
I know people like that, if my mum isn't smoking, she's drinking coffee. Morning coffee is just like morning cigarette; always feels strongest as well. Some people get all shivery without - kinda creepy.xmetatr0nx said:Yea like any other drug people will eventually build up a tolorence to it, unfortunately with that usually comes dependency. I know a few people who NEED their cup of coffee in the morning or turn into raving lunatics...ok maybe not that but still it ruin their day. Id hate to be one of those people.InvisibleSeal said:*snip*

Thanks for saying I'm smart *sends friend request*
Though has to be said, you aren't exactly stupid either.
Energy drinks such as Monster and Red Bull have roughly double the amount of caffeine in them in comparison to Pepsi/Coke. What makes them work more effectively than tea or coffee is the various other ingredients used in them. Eventually though the effect will wane as your body begins to become accustom to everything.DVSAurion said:Well, what I've understood most energy drinks contain a lot more caffeine than pepsi. I don't usually touch diet products, because they taste like crap. You can't replace sugar with something else.Bourne said:It does and it doesn't. It all depends on the person really. HellsLuneth described a horrible reaction to Aspartame and a friend of on mine cannot touch diet products or it will send her into a hyper craze apparently, never see it happen myself. I on the other hand have not a single reaction to aspartame. Personally I believe if it only extremely problematic if you are allergic to it, which in the case of my friend is most definitely the case.DVSAurion said:I drink Cola drinks like a couple of times a week and drink coffee once a month. I don't drink any energy drinks, because they cost a lot. Never actually tasted one. Heard it addicts you. Damn, not gonna give money to evil organizations.
None of it is addictive in a general sense, since I have gone a full week without touching Pepsi of any kind and had no issues with it.
Oh well aware, considering I would not be alive today if a tenth of the side-effects were true as my mother has drank diet soft drinks for the last three decades. Not to mention you would think I would have something wrong with how much I drink. It is all just myths and rumors. If Diet soft drinks were that dangerous, they would be off the shelves in a heart beat.ZSF said:That site is a huge load of bullshit.Bourne said:Funny someone tossed me this link on the other site. The reason I find it amusing is all these horrid little side-effects caused Aspartame... have never been a bother. It lists severe depression, inability to see properly and all kinds of things, yet here I am being one of the most optimistic people you'll meet and my such good eye sight, my eyes have adjusted to seeing in the dark, albeit mildly. All I have from that list headaches every once in a while, insomnia and... tis about it.

Edit: Oh wait, I do feel restless and sleepy every little while however that is credited more to my only sleeping 2-5 hours a day or not sleeping at all.![]()
