I honestly have a hard time drinking tea made from bags since I got mine... usually I'll make Cha Thai with a dash of gunpowder for caffeine, or oolong standard with meals. The Gnome King said:loc978 said:my tea in one of these:

The Ingenuitea makes GREAT tea, I forgot about that - we have one and use it for our loose-leaf tea, like Wuyi oolong and such.
Nah. I just prefer the flavor and experience properly brewed caffeinated beverages provide. Case in point, I get a lot of friends over that say they "hate" black coffee.Echer123 said:I drink Snapple and Folgers drip coffee.
Is that a problem, mister Look-at-me-and-my-fancy-teapots?
I'll drink red bull if it is available but I like Monster a lot more. The Gnome King said:I'm surprised I haven't seen any Red Bull fans in this thread. We have a case of it (from Costco) in the outside/garage fridge but neither my wife nor I can seem to bring ourselves to ever actually drink it.ParadiseOnceLost said:Monster energy drink and Mountain dew for me.

I feel for people who have never had a good cup of coffee made for them. Bad coffee does indeed taste like dirt. (That includes Starbucks, which for the life of me I cannot understand why people consider that "good" coffee. About the only thing I can drink from them is espresso.)similar.squirrel said:I avoid caffeine, by and large. It has an unpleasant effect on me. I occasionally drink various green-tea based infusions, if they taste sufficiently interesting. And I have a tin of gourmet black tea with all manner of interesting spices, which I drink in the morning every now and then.
Coffee is dirt, though. And energy drinks are synthesized cat-urine.
That is exactly it! I did get myself some supplemental suntheanine from an online store here in Europe, it was terribly difficult to find. I did some experiments to find out how it acted on higher doses, very interesting drug. Though I'm done with that now. I've figured that a strong cup of matcha with a few hundred milligrams of L-theanine makes for a cozy and dreamful night. The Gnome King said:Are you talking about the L-theanine in tea? That's my main reason for drinking matcha. Lots and lots (and LOTS) of the stuff to the point where it almost calms me down more than anything else.
Alcohol is... overrated. I enjoy the taste of a good microbrew every now and then but the effects turn people into boring jackasses, as far as I can tell. My wife and I jokingly call it "domestic violence juice" ...
They still make Shasta?loc978 said:terrible, I know.
