my tea in one of these:

The Ingenuitea makes GREAT tea, I forgot about that - we have one and use it for our loose-leaf tea, like Wuyi oolong and such.
I honestly have a hard time drinking tea made from bags since I got mine... usually I'll make Cha Thai with a dash of gunpowder for caffeine, or oolong standard with meals.

Proper standard British tea, instant coffee, absurd amounts of Diet Coke. That's pretty much how it works here. I'm far from fussy, I'll take my caffeine in whatever form.

I drink Snapple and Folgers drip coffee.

Is that a problem, mister Look-at-me-and-my-fancy-teapots?
Nah. I just prefer the flavor and experience properly brewed caffeinated beverages provide. Case in point, I get a lot of friends over that say they "hate" black coffee.

I make them some good coffee in a Chemex and they love it.

All in how it's prepared. Coffee is like cooking a chicken breast. You can microwave it and it comes out rubbery and horrible, or you can fry it up with some good olive oil and mirepoix and it's a little taste of Haven.

I avoid caffeine, by and large. It has an unpleasant effect on me. I occasionally drink various green-tea based infusions, if they taste sufficiently interesting. And I have a tin of gourmet black tea with all manner of interesting spices, which I drink in the morning every now and then.
Coffee is dirt, though. And energy drinks are synthesized cat-urine.

Monster energy drink and Mountain dew for me.
I'm surprised I haven't seen any Red Bull fans in this thread. We have a case of it (from Costco) in the outside/garage fridge but neither my wife nor I can seem to bring ourselves to ever actually drink it.

:D
I'll drink red bull if it is available but I like Monster a lot more.

I feel for people who have never had a good cup of coffee made for them. Bad coffee does indeed taste like dirt. (That includes Starbucks, which for the life of me I cannot understand why people consider that "good" coffee. About the only thing I can drink from them is espresso.)

However, some people do get unpleasant effects from caffeine and in that case I understand why they avoid it. There are things I avoid for the same reason.

Just not caffeine.

If they came out with a cigarette, for example, that was good for you I'd be all over that... I haven't smoked for over a decade but man do I still miss it sometimes. :D

Are you talking about the L-theanine in tea? That's my main reason for drinking matcha. Lots and lots (and LOTS) of the stuff to the point where it almost calms me down more than anything else.

Alcohol is... overrated. I enjoy the taste of a good microbrew every now and then but the effects turn people into boring jackasses, as far as I can tell. My wife and I jokingly call it "domestic violence juice" ...
That is exactly it! I did get myself some supplemental suntheanine from an online store here in Europe, it was terribly difficult to find. I did some experiments to find out how it acted on higher doses, very interesting drug. Though I'm done with that now. I've figured that a strong cup of matcha with a few hundred milligrams of L-theanine makes for a cozy and dreamful night.

My greatest "simple" reason for not consuming any alcohol is that it "silences the mind", and I start feeling claustrophobic and shut in.. But.. I shouldn't start talk about that, for I have some unfortunate emotional issues with my attitude towards alcohol. Theres a few types I like the taste of though, but there's still the issue that it contains alcohol.. Though I think you absolutely nailed my sentiment towards it in that last paragraph.

I must say that your household sounds like an amazingly interesting place ^_^.

Coffee, lots and lots of coffee. And tea, but mostly coffee.

I swear the next time I have to have blood drawn the doctor is gonna say to me, "Excuse me miss, but it seems that there's a little blood in this coffee."

They still make Shasta?

I get most of my caffeine from soda. Coffees and teas are a smaller part of my caffeine intake.

Just coffee usually. I like my coffee the way I like my men. Sweet, and milky.[small] What can I say, I really like white guys.[/small] =D

Actually not even that.We HAVE coffee beans stored in the freezer for when I'd like the rare cup and when people come over. I bring out the beans, measure, grind up in a coffee grinder. Grinding your own beans is just worth it.

I tend to just drink tea. I usually buy an Ito En Matcha Blend and Lipton tea bags for company, because it can be bought in bulk. The Ito En Matcha blend is consumed plain and delicious. I tend to put almond milk and a plant-based sweetener in my hot Lipton tea. It's just good and warms you to the core.

[small]*whispers* I have some delicious chamomile tea stashed away for myself. [/small]

Back when I regularly ingested caffeine? Tea of various varieties - these days though I mainly stick to herbal tea blends and avoid caffeine altogether.

I drink cheap as fuck, pure fuel, instant coffee. By the truckload.

Only I have been off it like a week to see if it helps my headache any.
So far I just want to choke everything. You know, more than usual.
