Root, I'll get my hands on the 6th ed of the rules. If I can't steal it off a friend we may be stuck with pitiful 4. I should be able to though.
Byakhee comes free with 5th edition rules; (Although I'd heartily recommend Trail of Cthulu if you can get it...Much much better, but a little more complex)

We looking at 1920's America or somewhere else?

BTW...I've talked to Qayin about this already, so...

You've got a LOT of skill points to spend; so I'd do them like this.

Top 3 skills : Get at 80% (I think that's the cutoff point)
Other Job Skills/One Survival Skill(Shooting/Running) at 60%
Necessary/Roleplaying(Spot Hidden) skills at 40%

Character Death/Insanity is 50% assured for everyone in most adventures. Be warned.

Are we going with professions to decide our skills or are we just choosing some to be better with?

and Pie (yes you're in)

All enteries close now (but I can be easily persuaded otherwise). Late entries may have a chance to enter if they really want to play.

I will post up character sheets and rules to set up your character soonish.

EDIT

I couldn't make up my mind on a senario so I'll let you guys choose. You have:
A) Ancient Egytian dig site
B) LA scene
C) A lost WW1 liferaft that stumbles upon a mystery

19 players? Holy crap Purple, you are a brave man. Just wondering, what dice system does Call use (D20, D10, D6, etc.)?

Mostly D100, but there are D6's, 20's and 4's as well. Just not as much. With the 19 players, I doubts all of them will be constructing charcater sheets. From what I've seen with most RP's, a lot of people tend to join in, then do nothing.

What do you mean by LA scene? For now my vote goes to WW1.
Well, a senerio set in the grissled streets of LA. It's more open then the rest (which is what I'm fearing) but it's LA so it's all good.

The WW1, is more linear and you basically start with weapons, ammo, etc.

If there were a bit more options as far as character creation in the WW1 version where we are not all forced to be soldiers... i suppose if there is a way to work in a bit more than just the simple "you're all a bunch of soldiers go whack beasty-thing on the head with rain of ineffective bullets" then the WW1 would get my vote. maybe a war correspondant (photographer), patrons of cities near the war (french nationals etc) or specialized soldiers. Maybe throw in a little bit of the first half hour of the movie hellboy (without the nazis of course), and hey, we've got a campaign.

Hmmm...isn't nineteen a bit much to fit in a liferaft? Anyhow, I'm for either the dig site or the WW1. Though I do agree that some people are probably going to phase out, but I would hope that we keep at least 10-12.

I'm going to go with the popular vote of the dig site. Now that I have read people's comments and thought about it I think it would be the best.

Oh well, the LA scene followed by the liferaft will have to do.

Ok, I was hopeing to start today, but it's just a tad delayed. Hopefully not to long. Ok, it looks like Dig is leading or WW1.

The LA scene will allow for more diversity in the characters but you can't say no to mummies.

O dude LA Scene for sure. Think about it. If this is set in modern day there at least a 70% chance we will get to see street gangs getting eaten by monsters. How can you say no to that.
