Here's my Character Sheet [http://i523.photobucket.com/albums/w356/Manchildgrim/Doyle-1.jpg]

Doyle hails from a middle-class background in Essex, living a life between social extremes; too wealthy to be part of the lower-class, too hard-working to be part of the upper-class. He studied psychology, history, philosophy and English, up until obtaining a Phd after submitting a thesis that researched the occult in the modern-day world.

Doyle considers himself an author - he writes columns, short stories, dissertations and research findings that are published in both English and American papers and less-well known magazines. The work awards no fame but a substantial enough salary, and has supported him through early adulthood.

Doyle has never actually met Dr. Spencer, but has corresponded and debated with the man on many subjects through letters sent between the two after Spencer read an article of his. This 'correspondance' is more accurately described as a long-term, friendly argument, in which Dr. Spencer would attempt to persuade Doyle that the paranormal really can still have worth and importance in a world now governed by science. This continued until Dr. Spencer practically demanded Doyle accompany him on a recent expedition, claiming it would not only change the way Doyle looked at the world, but would also get him into the public eye with an award-winning article.

Curious and ever-willing to prove the Dr. wrong, Doyle embarks on a trip from East-England to Egypt, notebook and pen in his coat pocket, ready to start writing this 'award-winning' article.

hope this is okay, I don't really know much about Spencer or the world this is set in, so I haven't gone into too much detail

Laetitia is working for the Spanish Government. She has been 'sent' in to Egypt after a Egyptian citizen was found guilty of numerous attempts at Arson disguised as brush fires. She believes that there is an ulterior motive and has taken a 'holiday' to try and find out if there's any truth to these rumours.
She is a tall, thin woman of great looks, but has a temper like a rattlesnake.

(I'm sorry about the 17 APP, but it got rolled.)

Mine aren't much better, either. ;)

Strength 08
Dexterity 08
Constitution 09
Intelligence 10

Power 12
Appearance 10
Size 12
Education 16

This just means that - statistically - I'll die second.

Edit: Also, do we round HP up or down?

Edit 2:

its like the character has a wasting disease...which is weird because his size is his highest stat.
Not really. You could be ugly, yet your appearance still your highest stat.

EDIT: Seems I made too many mistakes, so I readjusted some of my points. So here is the revised character sheet: http://i337.photobucket.com/albums/n393/ImSomeGuy98/Theface2.jpg

A young student, Travis Doormen is characterised by his rather moderate appearence. However, in his dull copper eyes, there are traces of fear evident by his sometimes slightly eratic movements. His history explains this, by beginning with his college years. Travis had been a good, respectful student. He had been praised for his ensatiable effort to learn, and had nearly finished his College Degree when he disappeared.

Naturally, the police were called in to find him, along with several other missing people. Eventually, the missing persons were tracked to a large mansion, just outside of town. During a misty night, the police raided the mansion. What they didnt expect to find was a cult in the middle of worship, and even more surprising was the willing participation of all missing, Travis included.

The cult was broken by this raid, and Travis was taken to an insane asylum for over a year. Though not insane, he had been heavily brainwashed into obeying the cultist master. But, after time, Travis was restored to his original self and cleared of all charges. But his reputation was ruined, and he was uncerimoneuosly expelled from his College.

Travis had been living hard since then, and was beginning to contemplate suicide as an escape from his predicament. However, an old friend, a professor, invited him to join him in Egypt...

90/70 on Science yet unemployed?

I think there's a definite need for a backstory reason for those...

Could we put a minimum stat level in for somethings, as some of these guys look like they wouldn't survive going into Egypt alone...

Average stat should be about 11.

Well, the reason is already in the BIO. My character was been commited to an insane asylum, and as a result he currently has no job. It also doesnt help that he never completed College.

That's a good reason. :) You also might want to bargain to get a 5% Mythos starter from Purp. :)

Oh, Byakhee can also export to HTML if that's a help.

What is Mythos in this game and what does it affect?

Christ, we only have a third of the sheets so far - Rain, are you sure you aren't being overambitious? Even a 1 post a day rule would be 19 posts to deal with...

Haha, that means that your character is the first to not be incredibly ugly :D

Highest after 17 is 10 - so only one person at or above average...we fail at genetic superiority.

Mythos is how much you know about The Great Old Ones. It also limits how sane you can ever be.

I doubt some of us will last long...this is Cthulu.

If you want me to just take a picture and post a link to it I am fine with that.

Background:Tsurugi is a student of Dr Hubert Spencer's. They were good friends as they both had similar intrests in the Egyptian culture and artefacts. He majors in history and the study of Egypt so he is fluent in Egyptian and can read hieroglyphics. Studying Egypt is also a pass time for him as he finds their culture fascinating so he knows quite a bit about them. When he got the call from his teacher to come to Egypt and help him with his latest find Tsurugi didn't hesitate and jumped on a plane as soon as possible. He has been to Egypt and explored some dig sites before. It is a past time of his so he also has some skill in archaeology.
He is a normal guy who spent most of his life focusing on school. He isn't too smart but he has read enough and studied enough on what he wants to know to be good at it. Wasn't sure what he wanted to with his life until he met the Professor and then decided he was going to spend his life studying Egyptians and their way of life.

It's not very good as i couldn't think of anything to say for him.

Ah...should I edit my bio to incorporate that? If it was lower than it is I wouldn't bother but 99 seems a little high...ah well, he's an author, and therefore I can say he's read about The Great Old Ones, maybe even done a few articles about them :D Hooray for vague bios!

Correction - surrounded by geeks who do not even understand your own language, but may not understand the 50% you can speak of theirs either...have fun!

EDIT; I went ONE day without managing to forget that this site does not auto-merge after posting, and now I'm back to square one...please no ban-hammer :(

I'd ask Purp first, it's very rare for anyone to know the TRUTH. And anyone who does is never quite the same again...

And if you ever wrote an article on them...Well...Did you ever hear Orson Well's "War of the World's" broadcast?
