One thing I am curious though, why does every one of these drawing make Calvin have a Daughter?
Karma. After torturing Susie Derkins for his childhood, of course the gods are going to give him a little girl who will get tortured in her turn by some future version of Calvin (perfect irony if it's Susie's son.)
I always figured Calvin Married Susie
I couldn't imagine Susie staying in that small town. Conversely, I couldn't imagine Calvin raising his kids anywhere else.

I get all mist eyed every time I see this:

Adults are so worried about keeping kids safe that they stop kids from being, well kids. Its a sad, sad world, and this thread is really starting to make me cry. People need to let kids be kids, let them explore, learn, and all that other fun stuff.

I love Calvin and Hobbes. So very, very much.

Let me start by saying I don't usually read or write fanfiction. I was directed to this [http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2048837/1/Reminiscence] story by a friend of mine who knows how much I love Calvin and Hobbes. It's kind of sappy, yeah, but really, I think it's a great "goodbye" piece to the series, and to me, it's probably always going to be what really happened. The picture in the OP reminded me of it.
*cries eyes out*

Aww :)

I'll admit, I never had the heart to stuff mine in the closet or basement or wherever, but I suddenly felt very guilty for letting her collect dust on a shelf together with copious ammounts of bad fanfiction.

Poor thing used to be pink... she's more gray now, though I think that's mainly the result of having taken an unexpected mudbath many, many years ago.

It seemed like a good idea at the time...

Love that strip, love the characters.
Still read the few collections that I have at my house.
This thread just re-sparked my interest in good ol' C n' H.
(And I'm totally not crying right now.)

Personally, I think the last Calvin and Hobbes comic should have been like this rather than what he did as his final piece.
