I'm searching for a new one to watch, preferably funny and light, maybe with a (call me girly) romantic subplot. Idk, I'm just tired of searching and finding either LSD-inspired insipid bullshit, or the perverted pedo crap.
Can anybody reccomend an anime for me?

I've only seen probably five or six anime, but Planetes sounds what you're looking for.
It follows a team of people who clear debris around earth's orbit. It's light, it has a little bit of romance and it's actually a bit amusing, which I find rare in anime.

Spice and Wolf, Hetalia: Axis Powers, Azumanga Daioh, Pani Poni Dash, K-On! are a few off the top of my head. Oh and one that I think would be perfect for you would be Seto No Hanayome.

I've only ever watched 2 anime franchises, Gundam and Dragonball.
Dragonball GT may be a good choice, since Dragonball is kinda perverted and Dragonball Z is more action packed nonsense.
Gundam Wing is both action packed with a romance sub-plot.
Besides those 2 recommendations, I have none.

Case closed, Full-metal Alchemist and Full-metal alchemist brotherhood, Cowboy bebop, Lucky Star, Pokemon(season 1 and orange islands anyway. Every season after sucked.) One piece(Though with Japanese voice actors and English subtitles(because sometime during the run they changed the voice actors in the English version....very bad move.), Trigun, and Cyborg 009(only see the 2001-2002 series) are the ones I do recommend.
You know, a lot of them are not light at all. Certainly not the Fullmetal Alchemist or the Trigun series, once they get going.MetaManProductions said:
Lupin III is fairly light and there are often romantic subplots, and though the main character is a pervert, he at least into grown women and not 15 year old girls. As long as you don't mind the really dated animation style (it was made 30 years ago), it ain't so bad a series.
Otherwise, go for Axis Powers Hetalia.

All the ones mentioned so far are pretty good.
Mushi-shi is a wonderful story. It really doesn't have a main plot. It's just about the main character going around and helping people.
I also recommend Gintama. It's silly, and there's a lot of crude humor and slapstick, but it can be serious and it's good if you just want to laugh.

Why has no one yet mentioned Pokémon! I can't really offer any anime recommendation, I read mostly manga, but I've enjoyed one called H2. It's about boys and girls and baseball.
