Toronto, forget about it, you might as well stay where you are, it's violent and has the reputation of being full of jerks. Yes, statistically speaking it does have less crime than other cities of its size, but it's municipal government makes up for that by being very pretentious. If you want to see how many things the word 'culture' can be a euphanism for, go to Toronto.

Anywhere else in Ontario is boring (including where I live, Ottawa).
sorry there's a lot of cool things around Ontario, you just have to get out a bit and you will see them. tons of awesome place to go, such as algonquin park

British Columbia isn't bad, it's a little bit like your California, but slightly less smug. It is full of drugs, drug violence and gangs though.
yeah ppl in BC are smug and a lot of them are tree hugging hippies that don't really understand basic math and how democracy works.

they whined about Toronto getting a basketball team, so the NBA gave them one but it went bankrupt after a year or two cause no one went
You know stereotyping is wrong! I don't know where you get this thought that we suck a math, but that is a pretty damn ignorant thing to say. And its not our fault that the best pot is grown in BC, its hard for my fellow BCers to resist the BC bud.

I fucking love Canada, BC is beautiful, the weather is ok, I love curling, to me there is nothing to not like about Canada!

This is what I think of Canada.

Unless you are a douchefag that only watches movies then you might think that Wolverine is from Usa and then moved to Canada...
Umm... I think you mistook what I was trying to do... It was a joke. No need to call me douchefag.

You misspelled Wolverine by the way, but don't worry because I fixed it for you.
Sorry if you felt offended. I wasn't refering to you as douchefag - it's just a funny insult I saw on Collage Humore :)
I was just remembering that the last Wolverine movie sucked XD

I've never been to Canada and whatever I might say about it will come from wikipedia or other source.

I think Canada is great. I was there for the holidays once, but unfortunately I was very little back then and only remember bits and pieces...
Anyway, what I hear politically and socially, Canada sounds similar to northern European countries in terms of policies, healthcare and so on. I'd need to visit again to be sure, but from what I heard, it sounds great.

Canada is a beautiful country and is why I have several cousins there.
-snip-
Does not compute... Are you saying you have cousins as a direct result of Canada's natural beauty?

Canada seems to be pretty cool, its what America used to be... You know before it changed.
It changed? (Sorry, I couldn't resist). It's a great country. I love how I can use both languages that i've learned since childhood. (French and english).
you can't use both languages in most of Canada people will yell at you and give you the finger if you speak English in Quebec the rest of canada doesn't know how to speak French ( i live in Quebec)
-You can speak English perfectly in Montreal and some towns near the northwest of the province.

-New-Brunswick is the only official bilingual province in the country. (Well, a lot of areas talks both languages, but some do speak only one).

-French communities do exist in Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta, Nova-Scotia and many others.

-I read an article from the Globe and Mail that bilingual schools are becoming more popular. (Although, I tried to find a link and didn't find any. In other words, I can't prove this one).

Errr your like a nicer safer America from what I've hear, and its cold, oh and you have no sense of humour according to my American friends and you all speak French. Is any of that true?
canadian humor is sometimes funny. check youtube for the tv show Corner Gas. It's the most canadian tv show ever
WRONG! The funniest Canadian TV show is infact The Jon Dore Television Show, which is indeed the best show in the world.

I know a little bit about BC, since I lived there for 6 months last year, but nothing of the rest of Canada. From what I've seen of it; the people are great; the weather is awesome; the scenery is tip top; cocaine is a lot cheaper than Australia, hoorah; there is a massive weed culture.

I also like that you have a name - toonies - for two dollar coins, I've tried to introduce that back in Australia but to be honest I don't talk about two dollar coins enough to spread it.

And the accents are hilarious.

Canada crash-landed on Earth in 1643 from an unknown origin somewhere outside of our galaxy. Their Nunavut engines and Ontario navigation systems were damaged beyond immediate repair upon landing, and so the Canadians were forced to adapt to Earthen life.

To make things worse, the port wing of Newfoundland was sheared off before the crash, and the starboard wing of Alaska was quickly stolen by the Russians. The Hudson power reactor was destroyed in a devastating explosion, forcing the Canadians to fill the core with water from the Atlantic.

Things went from bad to worse quickly. The section of Earth they had landed in was too cold for their taste, and many native Canadians died from the cold. Those who adapted did so very well, quickly moving to extract the maple syrup from Canada's fuel cells, which were then sent by the Mounties on beaver and moose-back to the Earthen people in exchange for parts to repair Nunavut and Ontario.
However, at the time Earth's population was very far behind the incredible Canadian technology, and the only parts they could muster were logs, which they used to build shelters on the now frozen hull of Canada.

Soon after, Canada was invaded by Earthens calling themselves the 'English' and 'French'. While the two Earthen factions fought over control of the ship, the French soon took control of the Quebec accommodation center for passengers and crew of Canada, and the English took over the Columbia drone hangar, calling it 'British'.

In 1776, the land below Canada became the United States of America. After a brief political war with the Canadian people, they burned down America's White House. To this day, America denies such an event, declaring that the White House and even Canada didn't exist.

Today Canada enjoys a rich cultural heritage, mostly that of the crew of Canada in the years after the landing. Most of their home world technology is lost forever, but they continue to export their precious maple fuel in exchange for Earthen currency, parts and labor.

Canada now boasts vast pine forests, plenty of dramatic Canadian scenery and - frighteningly - a military force to call their own.

Canada is now ruled by Princess Jade Lassassino, who hails from the royal city of Vancouver. She cannot become queen and lead her people to glory until she is married - hopefully to Prince Fyndir from the Earthen ciy of Dublin.
That was amazing. Me tuque is off ta you b'y!

You could always come down to New-Brunswick. If you enter by Edmundston, you'll meet french people down here. Moncton is like a 50/50 and there's other towns too.

You could also head some places in northern ontario. I heard there's a few french communities.

The planes is pretty much bad buying from the gouverment. Remember back when Paul Martin was prime minister? He bought 4 old dated submarines and one sunk, killing a man in the process.

I agree with MOST of the stuff you said, the one thing I'd like to add is that there is one other city in Ontario that isn't mind-numbingly boring: Windsor, we are close enough to Detroit so you can just hop on over to the states if you get to bored here. We have a pretty good music scene, (lots of local bands, this one is my favourite: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=imfjUrbsy-w) and we have the Windsor Spitfires reigning Memorial Cup champions. GO SPITS!
Really? Most people I talk to hate Windsor and want to get out as soon as possible. Can't really blame them, with all the drama in the past few months. Also, I thought we had the highest unemployment rate in the country, right?
I'm getting out of here in a week or two anyways. Gonna be up in London for school.

Hmm... ? Umm.. Canadians eat a lot of donuts, have milk in plastic bags, have ketchup flavored potato chips, are very polite, are bad tippers, really like hockey, say things like "and Bob's your uncle", and might speak French.

Oh and have square flappy heads, buddy. :)

After 7 pages...I think your a little late, it seems to be going just fine. I'm suprised though, I didn't think that many people on the forums would say something about a country without bashing it.
