Canada is 10 times better then the USA
Really? what's 10 times 0 hahahahaHAHAHA sorry

I'm a proud Canadian but there are lots of things that we need to work on. Our health care is good but it doesn't even come close to the European models. Something needs to be done to soothe Quebec separatism and we all know about the troubles that exist in Aboriginal communities. But last time I checked, we were known as the nicest people on the planet so that should count for something.

more things I'm proud of: multiculturalism, tolerance, geography (any Canadian who hasn't been from coast to coast should go).
being 10 times better then the USA is not that much of an improvement

Being Canadian, I know this isn't a good way to start a thread.

After 7 pages...I think your a little late, it seems to be going just fine. I'm suprised though, I didn't think that many people on the forums would say something about a country without bashing it.
oh, I did not see the page count

I got shouted at by a security guard in Toronto, so therefore New england/New york > Ottowa. I didn't mind Quebec, though. Montreal was stunning.
Err...that was confusing, I think you meant

New england/New york > Ontario

Ottawa is a city in Ontario, as is Toronto.
My bad, that's what i meant to say. The point is i liked the french part better.

Canada, in my limited experience, is almost exactly like the United States. That said, those small differences are enough that I can't quite put my finger on what they are specifically, all I know is it makes the country unsettingly foreign. I also know that quite a few of the funniest people on the planet hail from that frozen wasteland where I'm told they use the mystic power of jokes in place of fire to keep warm in their igloos.

You know stereotyping is wrong! I don't know where you get this thought that we suck a math, but that is a pretty damn ignorant thing to say. And its not our fault that the best pot is grown in BC, its hard for my fellow BCers to resist the BC bud.

I fucking love Canada, BC is beautiful, the weather is ok, I love curling, to me there is nothing to not like about Canada!
actually i get it from the fact that people in BC always complain "ontario gets more than we do" and "ontario always gets everything"

the population of BC can fit inside the GTA with some room to spare, the population of BC is 3 million, the population of Ontario is 12 million. so reason would follow that the bigger the population the more stuff it would get in a democracy, since the majourity rules

I like how us Canadians could never rule the world. We'd rather sit back and enjoy a cold one.
and don't forget Cuban cigars, cane sugar coke and pepsi and a few other things

Actually I'd like to make a note here, it's not Ontario that gets everything it's Toronto and Montreal. With good reason of course, but I ive in Ottawa(the freaking capital of the country) and nothing interesting ever happens here.

Ok I would like to make a note myself, what the fuck are you guys talkign about!? I did not argue that we complain, but there is no logic to the previous posters(not you) statement. And why are you quoting me in saying what you said, my post has no relevance to yours.

I know that the Canadian government has some pretty terrible views on freedom of speech. http://www.youtube.com/user/EzraILevant

I also know that their health care system isn't all it's cracked up to be. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q2jijuj1ysw&feature=channel_page

Other than that, seems like a pretty nice place.

if you come to canada stay away from the government here. The Prime Misleader Harpo decided to close the governments doors when the other party's tried to boot him out. we have trees and rocks, rocks and trees, trees and rocks.....it goes on. Enjoy the scenery and people. enjoy everything we have but try not to screw it up for the rest of us.

Canada gave the world Pamela Anderson, Jim Carrey, Avril Lavigne and I'm pretty sure Madonna, so on behalf of all my fellow Canadians, I sincerely apologise to the world.

I feel compelled to say "Canada eh?"

It's a nice place, more or less a slightly more liberal US with a French-speaking area techno-culturally.

I agree with MOST of the stuff you said, the one thing I'd like to add is that there is one other city in Ontario that isn't mind-numbingly boring: Windsor, we are close enough to Detroit so you can just hop on over to the states if you get to bored here. We have a pretty good music scene, (lots of local bands, this one is my favourite: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=imfjUrbsy-w) and we have the Windsor Spitfires reigning Memorial Cup champions. GO SPITS!
Really? Most people I talk to hate Windsor and want to get out as soon as possible. Can't really blame them, with all the drama in the past few months. Also, I thought we had the highest unemployment rate in the country, right?
I'm getting out of here in a week or two anyways. Gonna be up in London for school.
yes we do have the highest unemployment rate (only because we rely heavily on the auto industry) And then the City workers strike left the place looking like a wheat field in the prairies. However now our grass is cut and or garbage is being picked up, and it is getting back to what is was before the recession.

P.S. What school in London are you going to? If i had to guess I'd say Western.
