I would destroy any proof that a cure had ever been discovered and save one dose only for myself. After all, what have cancer patients ever done for me?

But seriously, it's been covered already. AIDS and its ilk. Also, every other life threatening disease/virus/genetic abnormality.

All that money for Cancer research would finally go to something useful, like starvation and inhumane living conditions in large parts of the world.
Though, in reality, I just know all that money would be lost. And all those campaigns would go to AIDS instead.

Watch as big corporations take control of the cure and sells it for crazy profit, while I, the discoverer of the cure is left without a dime.

You are suggesting that we would just hand it over. YOu don't do that, you find a way to reduce the strength of it. If you sell the cure, then fine people don't have cancer anymore. BUt if you sell a weakened version, they will keep having to come back to buy more.
The cure doesn't make you immune to cancer, just cures the cancer you have. If someone gets multiple cancers, which will be more likely now that they are not dying from thier first cancer, then they will come back to you for more. Right?

Nothing? What do you expect? I'm just a guy like everyone else so I don't exactly have the resources to gather the important medical people to explain how I had cured it nor do I have a large sum of money to fund it and to mass produce it.

I wouldn't release it until I'd wrangled a way that anyone would be allowed to make it without having to pay a f*ckload of licensing, but in such a way that no-one would ever be allowed to patent and charge for it.

Then I'd find something else to do.

Oh, and part of the legal wrangling would mean the drug has to be called "love and tolerance", just for the hell of it.

Nothing... The moment cancer is cured the media will move on to another illness and tbh all those people who aren't dying of cancer will live a bit longer before dying of the next big illness.

Sorry if I have offended anyone but that's how I feel.

Curing people of Religion maybe? That or the Common cold.
.. But, what if Religion has improved that individual? Like myself, I am a Christian (who doesn't shun nor judge anyone) that has a better personality thanks to that belief. Back then I was sort of selfish and immature until at a certain point, I became a much more noble person thanks to religion. Not all religious people are what they make themselves out to be.

Besides, religion is a belief which goes deep within the roots of the mind. Curing that is maybe stripping half that person's reasons on what life is itself. I won't judge you nor others who bash Religion but just know there are the noble, civil individuals.

OT: If cancer was cured regardless if nothing else, I would be very happy. However, we have so many other issues to tackle like a bad economy, crime, drugs (the bad ones), child abuse, vital diseases like AIDs... I think we'll be busy till all the World's problems are gone which is most unlikely but why give up hope. Trying is better then doing nothing.

P.S: Same goes toward atheists- you can't force religion onto them or deny their existence as human beings. I find everyone equal in manners of being even more important then myself. However, it's their actions that I will view upon them.
It is my view that religion is just a state of delusion many people fall into to give up on trying to understand and just have faith.

It never came off to me as a tool for building morality, there isn?t right or wrong you get punished horribly if you do what a group finds as bad, and super awesome fun time if you do right by them. The psychological equivalent of beating a dog or giving them treats.

I was raised Christian until I knew better, because a lot of the time their scare tactics would rub off on my inventive childish mind as a kid, but none of it made any sense couldn?t they have just told me not to be a dick? Its passed down and burnt into most people they get told these things to ease some of the harder questions and then it sticks.

I mainly don?t like that people live this life in the washed over mindset of this world as just a transition before eternity, so everything that is done is here is to obey a chosen book and impose it on others one way or another.

It may not seem so bad until you see politicians and law makers blather out why their justifications are right for the decisions the make based on a religious majority that voted them in.

It always seems to fill a void in a lack of knowledge or a plea for help. There are dozens upon dozens of religions each more varied than the last, each as correct as all others to the worshipers and none of them doing any good. One pair of Hands at work does more than every other pair does in Prayer.

If we cured religion people would have to live this life by the only thing I ever took from the bible.
?Do unto others as you would have them do unto you,? a pretty literal and obvious check for if you are doing it wrong. Its just poetic literature nothing else.

I would release the cure at $100 a piece. It's cheap, much cheaper than chemotherapy, and for the average person that's just about half a week's pay, if not less.
Half a weeks pay? Where are you living?

That's closer to half a day's pay for middle class round these parts. This isn't even a real city, go into a real city and your average household income goes up to somewhere in the neighborhood of $65,000.

Hell the guy's that pick apples are pulling in between $100 and $150 a day this year due to a worker shortage.
I make about $300 a week. I'm in the midwest, in an average town. A few industrial jobs have paid more, but this is the average of most jobs that I've held. That's the average I went with. If you're going to brag about making more money, then you can just pay $105 for my amazing miracle cure!

Sit back, and watch the world possibly burn. People'd go crazy if there was a cure to cancer, especially if the cure was rare.

It seems kind of simple, ageing, the biggest blight on our health systems around. So many diseases are attributed to it (such as cancer and alzheimers) its the only thing above a cure for cancer
That or create a tree which makes combustible lemons and burn down peoples houses with them
