Fromanzio couldn't make out a distinct scout noise and at this point, it was too late. A fight was inbound and whatever monkeys were left, were pissed. Fromanzio had made the decision that if he ever got in a position of power, this forest was burning. Every tree turned to cinder. Fuck this forest.
"Oh well, if Fromanzio could take forty of them by himself, Fromanzio and friends can take on... forty one! Yes, you guys take on the forty first while Fromanzio grabs his bombs again! That was a joke. Have any of you eaten monkey before? It looks like we may as well skin them after this for food."

Soon the raptor monkeys fell silent, they could be seen holding on to the trees,, sitting in the tall grass and on branches, they didn't seem to approach much further, they were about the size of labradors, they had clawed hands and feet and feathers instead of fur. Tough there was no clear weak point in their circle. The only one that didn't fall silent was the alpha, as he approached the monkey circle, the others quickly got out of his way, he was at least three times the size of the others, and looked more like a baboon, one of the smaller ones failed to do so. The alpha picked it up as he ran by and threw it, head first, at a tree. It was dead on impact, with its head splitting open like a water melon. It slowed down at about 10m from fromanzio, it slammed its hands into the ground and then proceeded to stare dead on into fromanzio's eyes.

Rias popped the tops on her bottles, but moving her right shoulder caused her to wince, as the red mist encircled her the apes fell silent save the Alpha. when the Alpha arrived he seemed fixated on Fromanzio
"a good place to start though would be finding that scout and killing it, they'll have a harder time finding us with out it to guide the rest to us." William agreed but it was already too late, they were found out and the screams made it clear who was approaching. William had head the group discussing their situation, as he joined them in the circle. Everything had gone quite fast, and William had been lost in thought. He had missed most of the conversation, still he did get the important part, or at least he hoped he did. William quickly grabbed his shield and he was already holding his tooth sword. They would learn not to mess with their party, as they would be their latest victims. William looked around to see who was the first to attack, William was ready to defend and counter.
Fromanzio wasted no time. That monkey was obviously the leader and if he killed it the rest might go away. He opened by throwing one of his knives at the alpha and replacing it with another knife. The knife was aimed in such a way that it spun in a horizontal circle, so if the monkey dodged, it still would likely get cut.
"Oh also, what exactly is your power anyway? You have never made use of it."
Bom clicked his tongue.
"I wouldn't call it a 'power'. More like an inconvenience. Unless these monkeys are scared of sprouting grass and creepy crawlies, it won't help."
On hearing Rias and Fromanzio's advice, Bom moved in closer to the others, keeping his back to them, and facing outwards towards the chorus of raptor monkeys. He scrabbled for a fallen tree branch, and held it up in defence.
It was then that he caught sight of the huge alpha. As Fromanzio made the first move, Bom readied himself. He wasn't going to be charging in this time.

Rias WOULD have been annoyed with Fromanzio's move, if she didn't think it was the right one "William, back up Fromanzio best you can, even if killing the alpha doesn't scatter the rest, it still needs to die first, the rest of us will handle the peons" she said as draw her long sword with her good arm 'oh this is gonna hurt like hell' she though as she formed one of her scythes

With the adrenaline pumping through her veins, the fatigue from her long night was effectively dealt with; though she half realized the combat would leave her exhausted. None the less, survival dictated such an expenditure. If she was to accomplish her mission; to do her duty, she would need to survive; at least a little longer.
Moving toward the center of the circle where she could focus on her powers, she began the task of opening portals as the individual enemies came within range. These beasts would learn to fear her blade, and she would keep them at bay; buying time for her the others to deal with the massive alpha.
Despite their numbers, Claire found her mind preoccupied with an odd question: did these mindless beasts count as a flock or a tribe? She quickly dismissed the question, finding the most appropriate term to be one applied to crows and the action she was about to commit against them.

He agreed with her tactics but he was unhappy about being ordered them. He looked at the alpha and then at Fromanzio. "I will charge at the alpha, you use the distraction of me charging and the smoke cloud to kill him. No fire bombs we don't want to attract any more of them, just use explosive bombs instead or knives." William looked at the alpha, he then slammed his sword against his shield hoping to catch his attention. William charged at the alpha releasing the smoke cloud when he got close to him, he quickly rolled to the beast side hoping to have hidden his position from him. William then stepped forward and slashed at the giant apes right arm.
Rias was picking off apes at range, using the energy she still had after forming her scythe it strike them at every angle, and every height, she was making sure the apes in the tree knew they where not safe high up, though she was mostly attacking them in the manner she was to keep her exertion to a minimum, since she still hadn't recovered from the wound earlyer
The alpha raised his hand to block the knife, it stuck in his arm, relatively loosely, now that it was clear that formanzio accepted the fight the alpha bolted at fromanzio with a speed equal to his.
As william charged the alpha the other raptor monkeys started screeching again, obviously angered by his actions, two of them dropped from he tree tops undo william, one landing on his back and the other on his right shoulder. Their claws dug into the flesh, and they proceeded to punch him furiously, clearly trying to cause more pain then actually kill him.
The raptor monkeys being attacked by claire, focused more on dodging the attacks then, attacking her, it seemed they couldn't figure out where the attacks are coming from. They started to throw rocks and sticks at the portals which the swords were coming out from.

the ape fell on her enough force to put her on the ground, yelping as she landing on her bad shoulder, and knocked the weapons from her hands. as she felt it clawing at her, yelping in pain as it hit her sore spot.
she pushed past the pain long enough to look the beast in the eye, before she focused everything she had on the ape assaulting her, spikes shooting out of the ground around her catching the ape in the neck, ribs, gut, and limbs. in pure malice she drove them in deeper even lifting the beast off her as she impaled it, soaking her in its blood, before retracting, a few spikes to kill another that was charging her, this one she spike it in the neck. she shoved the dead on her back off her.

The ape was obviously interested only in Fromanzio and while Fromanzio was confident, his dropped a tiny bit when William got ambushed. This was obviously intended to be a one on one fight. "So be it then."

Bom snarled at the nearest of the raptor monkeys. The sudden increase in noise, as they began to attack the others, forced him to act. Throwing his hat to the floor in anger, and bore his huge, fang like teeth. A booming hollar issued from his taught lips, screaming back at the chorus of beasts. He stepped closer to the nearest few, and raised his tree branch to strike down on any that came near.
The alpha kept charging after fromanzio jumped into the air, the alpha then jumped up against a tree and kicked him self off it again, the force of the kick caused the tree to bend and crack. Fromanzios knifes stuck into the back to ape shortly before it jumped against the tree. Unable to change the direction of his drop fromanzio was in a direct mid air collision course with the beast. The two collided, fromanzio stabbing the beast, which roared in his face, its saliva spraying over it. The two hit the ground, fromanzio below the alpha, while he took no damage form his own drop, he felt the full force of the alpha dropping down on him, the air evicted from his lungs, and his rips bruised.
EDIT: As Bom approached the the raptor monkeys, one jumped down from the tree tops and landed on his branch, pulling on it, while hanging on it. While weaker men would have dropped it bom was still holding tight.

William was surprised by the sudden monkey attack. He rolled making sure both monkeys were dazed by them hitting the ground, they couldn't dodge the attack since he held on to them. William quickly stepped to the dazed monkeys and killed both with 2 quick swings. One was left without an head the other one with an stab wound through his heart and lung. William looked around for anymore challengers, as well as checking above him for any sign of those monkeys. His shoulder hurt as he noticed the wounds the monkeys had made. The cuts weren't that deep since his armor had mostly protected him from them.
Before he knew it, Bom had a monkey attaching itself to his branch. Holding fast, he slammed both branch and beast straight into the ground. He immediately took the stunned creature in his free hand, and sank his teeth straight into it's neck. His thrashing fangs tore through the flesh and nearly ripped the beast's head asunder.
Bom didn't drop the corpse. Instead, he dragged it along like a club, ready to strike the beast's next of kin. His snapped, bloody branch lay forgotten in the road.

Rias slew another ape and backed toward Claire "anyway you can think of to speed this up, I'm starting to feel really crappy" she said to all three Claire's she saw. it was clear the earlier wound was catching up to her, while not staggering around yet, there where hints she was not doing as well as she looked
