Rias

"You still don't see do you? This whole forest has turned against us and you helped attack the monkeys. You are just as far in this as Fromanzio! Now, killing that ent would end all of our problems here. So please, think clearly for once in your life Rias."

Rias laughed, coughed a little and smirked mockingly at Fromanzio "YOU are that last person with any room to speak of 'thinking clearly'. the apes attacked US, because of YOU. YOU brought them to us, and given how violent they are with out some lunatic pissing them off first, we had no choice but to slay them." she said as she stood up forming a walking stick "worthless, empty headed, clown" she hissed as she started back down the road, though not getting very far before she collapsed

Karen

Karen just watched the exchange though said nothing

"Except they wouldn't have done anything to any of you had you stayed out of it and let Fromanzio fight the alpha. Instead you all went and killed half of them. This puts you just with Fromanzio when it comes to random killing." Then Rias collapsed and Fromanzio laughed. "I get hit by a giant ape and come out of it laughing, you can't even walk a few inches without having that happen? Ohohoh!

Admittedly, bruises were better alternatives to a giant bite from a pissed off Sophronious, but still, Fromanzio laughed anyway. He still had yet to feel any real pain from the wound, adrenaline rushing through his veins.

Rias

Rias laughed as pushed her self to her knees taking a few deep breaths as Fromanzio laughed at her for falling over "yes, I'm going to trust YOUR judgement. the judgement of a person who has cause most all the problems we've had, but is to stupid to realize the mistakes they've made. go fuck your self Fromanzio" she said taking a few more deep breaths "as for your 'wounds', don't you dare act like those 'love taps' you got are even in the same league as have your shoulder ripped open and THEN having to fight when you've already lost a lot of blood" Rias's tone grown more mocking as she went on "course, if you HAD had your shoulder torn open, I'd have let you bleed to death. i mean, we don't 'need you' exactly, you could die and the only thing you really bring to the group, we'd still have. your bombs" she said with a mocking laugh, before coughing again

Karen

Karen turned to William "are they always like this? cause i don't think i've seen so much hate between two people before" she asked some what annoyed about the open display of hostility

Claire listened as the two began their yelling session... again. She waited for a break in the conversation, then added her own two pence. Turning to Fromanzio, she began speaking. "First off, you decided to throw fire bombs at a forest - did you really expect the Ent to enjoy you burning his home and, more then likely, friends and kids? We tried to apologize; avoid the unneeded fight, but you decided to laugh about burning them alive in front of him. In any event - he punished you with banishment. Do you, the "market assassin" really expect you will ever enter a country without a market again? Regardless, your quest for revenge is as ill-founded as it is pointless. Any desire you have for revenge should be left in the past. If you can get us to the past, I'll happily help you get it, but until such time, let it go." she said in one breath.

Turning now to Rias, Claire began anew. "Fromanzio makes a point - if the raptor monkeys WERE under the command of the Ent, then we are likewise in trouble, however tangential it might be. We should be on our guard. Regardless of that however, the battle is also in the past, where it belongs; arguing over who is at fault will not accomplish anything and, if anything, get us killed. AND, all of that beside, you know we need Fromanzio; we don't have half as many people as we need to survive what we need to do. I don't care how injured he is - to fulfill our mission; we need him, so I'll do what I can to fix him."

Turning to speak with everyone, she continued. "If you two want to throw around insults and insanity all day, go ahead - but leave it here, in the past, when we leave. We have limited supplies, resources, and people - several of them injured. If we are going to be of any use - distraction or otherwise - we need to stop with the petty squabbles, find our enemy, and send him, her, it, or them to their maker - or better yet; oblivion."

Her tirade complete, she began packing up her things, taking a few seconds to clean her now noticed wounds. She muttered aloud "I swear, you two are like an old married couple."; just loud enough for Rias and Fromanzio to hear the dry-joke.

Captcha = "I like people"... I laughed a little bit ^_^

William had been looking at the exchange with irritation, but since he was bandaging up his own wound he didn't have the time to interfere. After having healed his shoulder he looked at both parties, and Rias had even fallen on her knees still shouting at Fromanzio. Then Karen spoke "are they always like this? cause i don't think i've seen so much hate between two people before" William looked back at her with an serious look. "They are like this most of the time. You can see why we need the help even clearer now, so thank you again for joining us. Now if you will excuse me I have 2 people to scream back in line." William slowly walked forward until he got to an good position to speak to them both at the same time. He waited for Claire to stop talking, when she was done he began to speak.

"The both of you need to stop fighting right now. As Claire just said we need everybody to survive this mission. So the 2 of you can either get along or I will make you get along." William looked at them both with an stern look. "And Fromanzio know one thing. Even though we need need all the people we can get. We don't need people who will be an danger to the group. So if you ever put your own petty needs over the well being of the party again, I will fire you. And don't think I won't do it, because I will without giving it an second thought." William turned his head looking at Rias. "And you Rias look at yourself, you are screaming yourself to death. Obviously bleeding from that wound in your shoulder, you have to stop being so reckless. If you are injured you shouldn't fight." William looked at the both of them with an stern look, he then looked back at Claire his face changing to an more neutral expression. "Claire come over here and help me with Rias wounds." William said with his normal voice. He walked forward and he stopped before Rias getting on his knees and inspecting the wound. He began to heal it to the bets of his ability with or without help.

"Claire come over here and help me with Rias wounds."

Claire finished shifting around the contents of her pack, then stood to follow. She didn't really want to - her anger at William still alive and well; but given her recent speech regarding "getting along", she said nothing[ opting to remain a non-hypocrite for the time being.

Returning to Rias, Claire sighed and said "What did I tell you abut your wounds, hm?" I'll bandage them back up - but please try to keep your anger in check, or I'll run out of medical supplies." she said, very serious. Though she had plenty of chemicals to treat and clean wounds, their supply of bandages was going to run dangerously low if this continued.

Bom looked at the party, the constant bickering, the mocking, the threats, the reasoning. It was all too much effort for him to follow. So instead, he collected his fallen hat, wiped the blood from his front, and walked over to Karen.

"So...how's the general doing Ms? You must feel very, uh, privileged to be on this mission, yes?"

Rias

Rias grumbled"if you say so. but this won't be the last time he does something that'll put us all at risk, or makes a situation worse" she said, ignoring the shot Claire took at her, she felt sick enough with out adding that mental image to the mix, as well as keeping several cracks about 'fixing Fromanzio' to her self. she didn't even bother to try and get up again, she was gonna need help for sure now.

"i think you asking to much to expect me to ever get along with him" Rias said as he and Claire came over, and left it there. he was right, she was basically killing her self to yell at the clown, and her conceit to that fact was written on her slightly paler face.

Karen

Karen just stood there, 'fucking wonderful, I'm babysitting ....' she thought as she threw her bag over her shoulder, ready to get moving whem Mr. Bom came over

"So...how's the general doing Ms? You must feel very, uh, privileged to be on this mission, yes?"
"not really, know that scroll i handed William?" she started with a smirk " bet it said something to the effect 'here, she's YOUR problem now' cause the General and his staff are to weak, or to cowardly to handle me" she said with no small amount of contempt "I'm starting to like this William though, he seems to have a bit more back bone then the other military types i've met"

Bom wasn't sure how to take the disparaging comments about the General. Any human willing to trust me and the others with such a high-priority mission, can't be all bad.

In spite of her impetuousness, Bom felt he was going to like the new blood. Does she have good breeding too? Bom made a mental note to ask her later.

"Right. Uh, so what do you think we should do next?" He directed the question to anyone still capable of listening.

"i mean, we don't 'need you' exactly, you could die and the only thing you really bring to the group, we'd still have. your bombs"

Fromanzio kept shaking his head. "Fromanzio managed to take on two Sophronious by himself and come out of it unscathed, while you get ripped to shreds by a single one. Please tell me who is more useful. Because you can hardly talk right now."

let it go

The words resonated through his head. Pounding and finally coming out as a deranged "No!" Everything he had learned involved killing everyone who posed a threat. Including that damned tree and that tree had tried to kill a member of the market, enlisted a monkey army and turned the whole forest against Fromanzio. No, now it was personal and nobody was stopping Fromanzio's vengeance. The mission was unimportant compared to this, compared to the validity of the threat of the market. This tree had to pay, he had to pay, he had to.

"And Fromanzio know one thing. Even though we need need all the people we can get. We don't need people who will be an danger to the group. So if you ever put your own petty needs over the well being of the party again, I will fire you. And don't think I won't do it, because I will without giving it an second thought."

Fromanzio raised his finger. "Now now, before you ruffle your panties. Fromanzio has been listening, yes he has and he knows what has happened between you and Claire mister "Oh my loyalty is to you madame!" so before you get on Fromanzio about his revenge, perhaps the leader has his own shortcomings to handle." Fromanzio had little intention on revealing this, but he had witnessed the fight when he was hunting. Truth be told, he did not care at all, but if it could serve him now then so be it.

"Right. Uh, so what do you think we should do next?"

Fromanzio thought for a second. "Our first objective needs to be to get out of this forest. The longer we are in here, the more things that will try to end our lives. That ent is going to be the final encounter most likely, but if it is all the same to you guys, Fromanzio would never like to see a forest again...Unless it is on fire."

"Fromanzio managed to take on two Sophronious by himself and come out of it unscathed, while you get ripped to shreds by a single one. Please tell me who is more useful. Because you can hardly talk right now."

"uh huh .... this coming from the guy who just got his face rearranged by something half even half the size of the thing that got me" Rias said with a smirk

"Our first objective needs to be to get out of this forest."

"you do that, and I'll stay here, and do what we came to do, then, go home and forget you even exist, which is actually just as good as you dropping dead. cause ether way, I'll never have to look at you again" she said, with the most serene expression she had in a long time.

Karen

Karen had pretty much started ignoring the group mostly

"Our first objective needs to be to get out of this forest."

till she heard Fromanzio's 'order' "i don't take orders from cowards or weaklings, especially when that order is 'run away'" she snorted, the very notion of 'retreat' offended her

"Now now, before you ruffle your panties. Fromanzio has been listening, yes he has and he knows what has happened between you and Claire mister "Oh my loyalty is to you madame!" so before you get on Fromanzio about his revenge, perhaps the leader has his own shortcomings to handle." William was surprised for a moment that Fromanzio knew but frankly he didn't care much. It wasn't like anything would really change if the rest knew. So William kept working on healing the wound together with Claire. William looked at Claire when a thought hit him. Maybe I should apologize? I mean what I said went against everything she learned and stood for.....I should apologize to her. I will wait until we are alone and then I will apologize even though I don't want to, we need to solve this problem between us because form here on out this will get more dangerous.

"Our first objective needs to be to get out of this forest." William turned around looking at Fromanzio. "Fromanzio we still have an mission here, so leaving is not an option." William went back to treating Rias wound. It did look like Rias hated Fromanzio even more now. He felt a bit sorry for Karen that she was dumped into this group.

Rias

"so, how much worse is it?" Rias asked the pair patching her up, she was going to ignore the cheap shot Fromanzio took at William, but Mr Bom earlier said he noticed something was up, but wasn't sure on a tactful way to ask.

Karen

Karen was busying her self by clearing the road, tossing the dead in to the bushes and letting the local wild life finish the clean up

Bom watched Karen's cleaning job. He couldn't see the point. Can't people just step over those things?

"Is everyone able to walk still? Or will the horses have more to carry?"

Bom wondered when he would get to ride a horse. He patted his Appaloosa mule, which seemed to read his mind, because it immediately shook its head.

Claire had frozen at Fromanzio's words. It was not so much the words themselves, for they only enforced her own view point - if in a roundabout and unsettling way; that William should be focusing on the mission, not some childhood oath. No, it was the implications of his words that he had spied their battle and her humiliation that followed. It was all she needed to know that her loss had an audience; next she'd discover their had been bets placed. "Damn that clown" she could not help but think, feeling the sting of irony at quoting Rias - if only in her head - so soon after berating her for the same action.

In the clouded state of mind, she bandaged Rias's wound a little too tightly again, so she backed off and tried again this time with success. She would have remained in this state of mind, had Rias not drawn her from her mind.

"So, how much worse is it?" she asked. After a too-long pause, Claire found her words and responded. "uh... No worse of a wound, you just lost a small amount more blood; nothing a re-bandaging can't fix."

Even in her frazzled state of mind, Claire could see the look of Rias holding her tongue - No doubt wondering about Fromanzio's little retort. With a sigh, Claire added. "Just go ahead and ask - the cat is out of the bag as it is; so to speak"

"what did the birth defect mean by 'my loyalty is to you?'" Rias asked, trying to be tactful about it, to Claire anyway

Karen

Karen finished clearing the road and decided, if nothing else to listen in on the conversation.

"So, how much worse is it?" William looked at Claire who said. "uh... No worse of a wound, you just lost a small amount more blood; nothing a re-bandaging can't fix." William agreed with this as he continued treating the wound. "Just go ahead and ask - the cat is out of the bag as it is; so to speak" William looked up at Rias waiting for her question. "what did the birth defect mean by 'my loyalty is to you?'" William chuckled birth defect good one. "Well to make an long story story short, Claire saved my life when I was younger, and I was raised to always pay of my debts. I sadly told this to Claire in a manner which offended her, seeing how I completely ignored what she found important and only focused on what I found important. This resulted in tension between us." William left out the part of the fight, since he didn't think Claire would want him to tell to the rest of the party.

William looked at Claire. "I apologize for my behavior of the last few days, I just realized how I must have looked from your perspective. And I am sorry for any tension that exist between us because of the way I acted. Can you forgive me, for the way I have been behaving the last few days?" William looked at Claire with an hopeful look, William hoped that they could leave it behind them.

Rias

Rias waited for William to finish his answer, and apology "so ... it's an honor debt? that's what he's trying to use against you?" Rias laughed weakly, shaking her head at the absurdity of it "no wonder he doesn't get it ... anyway, don't let it get in the way of our mission. that you wanna repay this debt from so long ago is fine, i have no problem with it. i will, however, have a problem with it if it gets in the way of us succeeding in our mission" Rias said and left it at that.

Karen

'interesting little twist, good to know though. Karen thought as she listened.

"...have a problem with it if it gets in the way of us succeeding in our mission" Rias said, reiterating her own disagreement with his oath. "Unfortunately, that was my concern as well." she said to Rias before addressing William and his apology. It sounded truthful, and it was true the group needed to remain undivided to survive this... ordeal. Swallowing her pride, she turned to William and responded.

"I am glad to see you understand my concern over the... promise." she said, avoiding the term 'oath' - a term she still wasn't quiet comfortable with. "and I can see how you might put such an... obligation before all other things; so I do not hold such beliefs against you." she continued. she paused for a moment, thinking herself insane for what she was about to do, then continued - her mind fortified. "I personally don't like the idea of anyone "owing" me anything; particularly when I cannot remember ever doing anything to earn such a gift, but I also do not like to feel as though I owe anyone, especially when it is a debt of life." She took one more deep breath before making a statement she feared she would regret, but knew was needed for peace. "So long as you don't put me before the needs of our home; our families; our country; and our friends, I suppose I can... accept your... oath." she finished, her words chosen with great care.

"For your duty" she thought to herself, trying to talk herself back into her decision, before adding "Nope... Oath is still the wrong word."

"so ... it's an honor debt? that's what he's trying to use against you?" Rias laughed weakly No wonder he doesn't get it ... anyway..have a problem with it if it gets in the way of us succeeding in our mission" William was happy to hear that Rias didn't have much of an problem with it. "Unfortunately, that was my concern as well." Claire said as she continued tot talk. "I am glad to see you understand my concern over the... promise....So long as you don't put me before the needs of our home; our families; our country; and our friends, I suppose I can... accept your... oath." William smiled. "I will be sure not to put you above the others then. And I am glad that you accept my oath." William was happy that they had made up, for as far as that was possible right now. He knew that whatever opponents they would face next, would be much stronger and dangerous then the things they had faced up up to this point. So they would have to work together like an team, or risk dying because they couldn't work together. William turned to Rias. "How are you feeling a bit dizzy perhaps? maybe even nauseous? I mean you did loose quite allot of blood." William looked worried.
