Cant...stop...having...fun.
too...much...dragon age.
must...talk...like...this.

Ok enough of that.
Right now im addicted to dragon age.
Its one of those games I love because it is LOOOOOOOOOONG.
It takes me weeks, or months to finish because I take my sweet time with it and do EVERYTHING.

The last game that declared me legally dead was fallout 3, A game that I have married, bought a house with, and now we are planning to have sequels.

I would like to know what games have done this terrible thing to you.
Which game has force you to stay and play, even though you had to go to the bathroom.
Ill make sure they come to justice...after playing them.
LittleBIGPlanet, Lost Planet, Borderlands, Diablo II, Guild Wars, Avp2, and Final Fantasy XII (the gameplay, not the story).

Sonic Adventure 1&2 (still waiting for that third one >_>)
Starfox Assault
Tony Hawks Pro Skater 4 (best game ever)
Need for Speed Underground 2 (including all the random side missions)
Sonic Heroes

And City of Heroes
Sonic Heroes... Really?
I played that for an hour on ps2, and it was even more of a glitchy half-finished clusterfuck than Sonic 06 or Unleashed (which I enjoyed enough to finish).
I absolutely hate Heroes, and can't bring myself to play it ever again.
The level design, the controls, the switching between characters, the constant pointless deaths that make no sense... just ugh.

I can never get hooked to a game, especially if I lose sleep over it, because sleep to me is everything that matters compressed into 10 hours.

From some gameplay videos it reminds me too much of World of Warcraft(aka any remote semblance at all),auto combat, similar interface layout. Anyone who has played both games list a couple of things that make the two games completely different?

I'm just saying when WoW was released people thought It was the shitz

Borderlands is my gaming Cocaine at the moment.... I bought it the day it came out (October 20th) and it hasn't left my 360... it the looting of Diablo with the shooting of Halo.... beautiful!
I will have to go with this.
I was surprised to figure out yesterday that on my main character (Roland) I had currently played 5 days, 2 hours, and some amount of minutes... It shocked me
Yeah, I've got a Roland too... he's level 48... I'll switch once I hit level 50 and try to beat it again.

World of Warcraft.

Over 3 straight years now of that being the primary game i play... I've still only rolled 5 classes. Rogue, Priest, Paladin, Mage and Death Knight (though i have dabbled at the early stages of a Druid, too.) And i've only seen the Horde side of things.

Some day, i think i will try rolling Alliance to see THAT side of the coin. No other game really comes close to this, for me. Maybe Sim City or Sim City 2000, or possibly the EA NHL HOCKEY series, but i've finally kicked both of those habits.

The earliest I remember that happening to me was when I was about 10 years old. Ducktales! for the NES! I played that for about a week straight before my grandfather realized I kept it that long and he had to pay late fees! (It was a rental.) Lately, I would have to say the one to keep me up was Oblivion by far! After that game is done, it's Fallout 3 next. So basically, I have the next two years planned out for me. :)

I am missing civilization in this thread especially civ 3 that one would just hook me to the screen and wouldn't let me go until i finished a game.
The moment a game was finished i just had to run to the toilet.

It is not good for your bladder to hold pee for 8 hours.

Hmm...I'm not really the type of getting to excessive with gaming due to too many other interests (music, work...stuff like that).

The most recent game that did it to me was funnily enough Aerobiz Supersonic (SNES). I found myself at 04:50 surrounded by cigarettes and sheets of paper with price calculations, having successfully taken over private air-supremacy on the simulated globe.
Normally i tend to play more "action-oriented" or "rpg-like" games. Uplink (PC) also kept me awake a longer time and Cuthullu "Dark Corners of the earth" (PC).

Ah and WoW kept me on my toes for about the beta-period.....

Diablo I & II and RTCW: ET (PC) also kept me going for quite a while and
at last "Shadow of the comet" (PC)...

The last years new games didn't felt like that in any way...not that they're bad...i just loose interest in them very fast...

I also hit a lot arcade but mostly with friends...

My Dragon Age warrior (primary) is the most mercurial character I've ever been. He goes out of his way to sympathize with every member of the party, adopting a completely different atitude depending on who he's talking to. I've done it so much that I'm not even sure what his motivations are anymore.

OT: Yes, Dragon Age is beating MW2 in the tug-of-war on my life that REALLY shouldn't be happening right now of all times...
