So I recently played that new Family Guy game at a friends house and it wasnt that bad to be honest, it wasnt really that good either but if it was priced at 15$ as a XBLA game it would be a cool game.
Still the biggest problem that I had with it is that it didnt used the Family Guy IP properly, although they kind of were smart about the game setting.
(Rant about the game)
I kind of started thinking what other cartoons would be cool to make a video game out of it, South Park is looking like it will be the Batman Arkham Asylum of cartoon based games.
TLDR: So what cartoon game would you like to see done properly and using the shows strenghs?
I think that Futurama would be cool as a GTA game since it has quite a lot of cool places to explore, and imagine that buddy system of GTAIV with Futurama characters, getting a call from Bender asking to go steal an orphanage and ending up burning the place.

Basicly the game is about Brian and Stewie travelling multiple universes to stop that rival kid of Stewie. The idea is actually cool since what more has Family Guy to offer in an interactive medium? No one cares about exploring Quahog and all that matters are the jokes, except in that multiuniverse episode where its actually cool to explore the different weird and funny worlds that they come across.
This game sadly does that poorly since every world is incredibly uncreative and mostly turns out to be "What if X rulled the world?". The banter between Brian and Stewie is fun but since you play as them you only get to see it in cutscenes, they should have made what Ghostbusters did and make the player a new character for the game to make Brian and Stewie NPC's that would always act like themselfs. What makes these characters good is the interaction between them and taking that away by making one of them the player doesnt work. In Batman no one wanted to be Batman because of his personality, they wanted to be Batman to wear the costume and do Batman stuff like beating the crap out of thugs.
If the character has something unique to him that the player can do too then fine, give the player the ability to control him but if the character uniqueness is his personality and interaction with others how can a player replicate that? The best parts of the game will be in cutscenes when the control is taken away from the player (wich is what happens here).
