C'mon. There is only one species that can possibly win this: Q from StarTrek OF COURSE!
Being a Q would be the most awesome thing ever. Think of all the mischief!

I counter with the Necrons. The C'tan Star Gods, and immortal, self-repairing machine bodies of the Necrontyr, along with disintegrating gauss weaponry. That is to say, given sufficient time, the average infantry soldier of the Necrons could utterly annihilate a Reaper.

Now consider the Necron have fleets....
I think this pretty much comes down to a three way battle between the C'than, The Demons of Tzeentch and Protoss.

A four way battle- add in the Old Ones. Cthulhu and brethren are not to be underestimated.

I NOMINATE POKÉMON!

Seriously, if you stood before a flamethrower attack, you wouldn't survive for long.
my friend if you would send an army of pokemons agianst a squad of troopers from any race from warhammer 40k universe it would be a goddamn bloodbath rainbow colored bits splattered everywhere space marines chainsawing pikachus and necrons summoning them from undead as robots that serve theyre will it's hopeless
those are both good points but i think a good nuke would kill them both.

Those things in the clouds? Those are the ultra-powerful laser beams which will DECIMATE ALL LIFE ON EARTH.

Also, this being my second Iji-themed post today, it seems I am out of material.

Yeah but if you ever played a pokemon game then you know, pokemon can't die. They only faint, and then get back up later. So yeah pokemon win in my book.

I think everyone who mentions Warhammer 40000 has forgotten one important entity of the Chaos realm

Lucius the Eternal, for lack of a better descriptor, simply can't die. Sure, it is possible to defeat him, and it has happened many times before. However, the moment his killer takes even the tiniest amount of enthusiasm, satisfaction, or pleasure from Lucius' death, he takes root, and slowly the killer transforms, until Lucius is back amongst the living, and his killer is now merely another screaming face in Lucius' power armor.

I dunno the Star Spawn are pretty badass too. And the Great Old Ones were almost exterminated by their own Shoggoths so I think Shoggoths might be the apex predator of the universe.

The Necrontyr were a race, the Necrons are machines with the former Necrontyr' minds. Their minds were pretty much destroyed. A Necron can be made out of any sentient race if given the proper materials, so I don't really think they're a species.

The Chaos Legions are made up of space marines(heavily augmented humans), and are not a race themselves. The demons are made up of different species example:Khorne= bloodletter, Nurgle=plaguebearers etc.

Sorry for going off-topic, that was just annoying me.

OT: I have to go with Humans, you know, routing for the home team and all that.

Personally I'd have to go with the Quarians, seriously they may have horrible immune systems but they made the Geth and that lead to the outlawing of AIs. Think of it this way if the Quarians and the Geth worked together as equals once the Geth began showing awareness there is no telling what they could have accomplished.

By strongest do you mean a) most terrifyingly numerous, b) most technologically advanced, c) most impossible to kill, or d) just most badass in a mano-a-mano fight?

No matter which you meant, I'll go with a) damn humans, b) daleks, c) Cthulhu, and d) Reapers.
