Well I think its a bit silly you are all talking about Gods and immortal killer robots from 40K.

I wouldn't call either of those two a 'species'.

In calling with the name of the thread, I'm naming these two, and I'm surprised no-one else thought of them.

Probably the two biggest alien species to come to cinema.
well they are the most famous but certainly not the strongest the predator lacks face to face enqounters he's always stealthy and hiding and gets everyone in the back not in direct combat
and the alien lacks physical power .. yes i said it

your necrons would stand no chance if the chaos gods chose to use their strongest minion
And where exactly is it said the Void Dragon is a minion of Chaos? Even the Deceiver, the one to set C'tan against C'tan, serves no-one but itself.

Do remember, that the Eldar and two other races were created to combat the Necron. Their creators died. Of the three, only Eldar remain. And even they fell, after repeated failiures.

What could the Chaos Gods themselves do against the C'tan, whom are the oldest sentient beings?
i should have said weapon for even though they dont control it they could put plans into motion to relese it

and as you said your self the c'tan are only beings not gods, they reside only in the real univers and hate the warp because it hurts/kills them as i now quote from the warhammer 40k wiki. The primary weakness of the C'tan is their inability to comprehend the Warp. It is speculated that they find it impossible to survive in it and are particularly susceptible to warp spawned magics and psykers.

while the chaos gods can touch the real univers from the warp the c'tan cant touch the warp
so even if the necrons take over the univers the chaos god only need to wait untell they have run out of things to feed on then unlesh their demonic armys from the warp and finish them off
Correction, the Chaos Gods can't do anything physical (only mental manipulation, which the Necron are immune to)outside of the Eye Of Terror, without one of their worshippers first going there are creating a weak spot.

Otherwise they kinda would be spilling over the streets of imperial cities and Eldar Craftworlds right about now, instead of continuously assaulting the Cadian gate, right?

So, all the Necron and C'tan need to do is kill off all living Chaos cultists outside of the Eye, surround it with a fleet and apply the Warp barrier technology while expanding the Cadian tower system, thereby closing the Eye and forever locking the Chaos Gods into the Warp, powerless to do anything.

Then the Necron can go on with their goal of universal genocide on anything that is alive. And slowly, over the millions of years the C'tan can easily live, the Chaos Gods will wither and die away.

And if the Void Dragon is a weapon, then it is a weapon that will attack Chaos. It is a weapon that cannot be mastered. It is a weapon that cannot be controlled. And a weapon that cannot be mastered or controlled and that seeks your destruction is no weapon of yours.

Actually, Predators are quite strong, hence being able to jump the heights they do, and scale buildings with their hands. If you check out the novels, you'll find out a lot more about them, they are extremely proficent at close quarters combat, y'know, hence the Wristblades?

And as for the Alien, no, they may not be 'strong' but they swarm. And as we've learned from the films, swarms of bugs can take out even the most heavily armed squad of soliders.

The Paan'uri. They're made from F***ing dark matter!

Also they control gravity. And you can't see them. And they're larger than the earth. And when they don't like something they blow up the nearest star.

Also, cookie for reference.

Predator's Stealth system, coupled with their Plasmacasters [shouldercannons] and Burners [Like shouldercannons, but handheld, kinda like what they had in AVPR] would make short work of a Tyrannids carapace :) They are the hunters of all. They hunt any sort, and all sorts of prey. They've killed countless different types of creatures for the thrill of the hunt, ones more deadly than the likes of the Tyrannids.

And they probably wouldn't even need the stealth. All they need is one crazy Predator with a deathwish to get into the middle of the enemy and go 'lol wristmounted nuke'

The Reapers
In theory it's impossible for shepard to save the universe
he/she only can because it's a game

That aside if we don't talk about godlike warmongers

Krogans without the genophage they'd have taken over the universe
oh please stop read about the necrons they are unkillable because they self repair if they die and theyre made of regenerating metal, they dont need to eat, drink or breath, the reproduce by killing, and theyre little gauss rifles can destroy a reaper ship anytime they want because gauss flares penetrate everything.

yeah but predators don't attack in endless huge hordes, but theyre stealthy and the thing that tyranids have hording stealth units answers anything if a predator hides somewhere he can be attacked by 50 genestealers who were also hiding ofcourse one predator agianst a horde of gene stealers is toast

The Great Old Ones.

No contest.
Bingo.

Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn.

Where Nyarlathotep walks comes only death and madness. There is no fighting it. There is no resistance. Only death!

Nylarlathotep was an Outer God (like Abhoth, Azathoth, Daoloth, Ghroth, The Hydra, The Nameless Mist, Shub-Niggurath, Ubbo-Sathla, Yidhra, Yog-Sothoth) not a Great Old One. Outer Gods were slightly different and just as powerful as the Elder Gods (Bastet, Hypnos, Kthanid, Nodens, Ulthar, Vorvadoss, Yad-Thaddag) whom were in turn more powerful than the Great Old Ones (Cthulhu, X'chll'at-aa, Zoth-Ommog, Baoht Z'uqqa-Mogg, ect).

As a SPECIES, my vote goes to the Great Old Ones, since the Elder and Outer gods don't exactly qualify as a species, being Gods and all.

That is not dead which can eternal lie,
And with strange aeons even death may die.
