Character That Everyone But You Hates?

Okay, this has been somewhat nagging me.
Recently, I rewatched Dexter season 2. And I really did enjoy it, so much I went on the internet and looked up the show just to see how it did with the masses. And the first thing I noticed was that one of my favorite characters (Lila) was hated by everyone else.

Have you ever had this happen to you? Like, someone you just particularly like in the story that apparently everyone else hates?

If by "not hate" you mean "not want to die in a volcano," then Yoshida Kazumi from Shakugan no Shana. 90% of the people who watch that show wants her to die (and I'm pretty sure she was supposed to be a sympathetic character too)

Eddie Gordo from the Tekken series. I know he was one of the most noob friendly characters in any fighter ever, but his moves were fun and Capoeira is a visually amazing martial art and not even used in most other fighters.
