Characters that are a disgrace to gaming

Well... I dunno, from all the games I've played, there's no characters I'd call a disgrace, being annoying though is also a human trait, so for characters to be just evil or annoying doesn't make them a disgrace.

Although... If I had to choose I'd go with Lara Croft, and no I do not believe Nathan Drake is a bad character, I think he's an awesome character, he is indeed a tomb raider too but he kills in self defence, or to save the world, also, he seem kinda poor... Lara Croft goes around killing people and animals because they're her rivals, she's rich, she doesn't need more treasure, since this is The Escapist, just watch Zero Punctuation, he says it all.

Actually, there's a lot of people who believe in things. Personally I lost a few friends to the online monstrosity; even after dragging them, literally, outside to get some air. And this is from a guy who just spent the last 8 hours getting past 2 chapters in Alice.

Sure, there were a lot of contributors, but the thing is, the time, and MONEY, spent on a subscription for WoW; Any MMO, mind; actually hits the rest of the genres pretty hard.

I heard this before, but I never got it. What's so bad about Carth? I liked him a hell of a lot more than Anton from KotOR II

I couldn't agree more. I dislike lot's of characters, but Rosh is one of few that truly is a disgrace.

THANK YOU. Someone else agrees. I get she's supposed to be all defensive and whatnot, but there's a difference between being callous and walking around going "IMMA *****! RARG!" I swear half her dialogue ended with her saying "uber-*****"...

Roxas from Kingdom Hearts.

"This game's too fun. Looks like we'll have to add in an annoying, broody character to hijack the campaign, taking out all the good parts to make room for endless angst."

While I liked Kingdom Hearts 2, I have to say yeah, Roxas and the nobodies pretty much hijacked the whole series and turned the story into a convoluted mess.

For me my problem with Carth is that he whines so much. He continually talks about how he doesn't want trust you and he's afraid you'll betray him. Seriously, he won't shut up about it. He isn't a horrible character, just an annoying one.

Rico from the Killzone series, an incredibly unlikeable "gangsta" prick even without me rooting for the Helghast, but when the game has him kill off one of the best characters of the entire series, gives him a nonsensical 2 min whine about superior officers that has nothing to do with anything and then bring him into the 3rd game where he continues to be an all round twat, oh it makes me so mad I want to cave in his skull repeatedly.

He also has a stupid haircut in KZ3!

I loved him! When he showed up in KoToR 2 I fanwanked the disk away.
Though tbf my favourite memory of that game was seducing him as a female character then betraying him for Bastila at the end; I found his betrayal tantrum hilarious =D

OT: Zaalbaar and Mission from KotoR. I made him kill his whiny tag-along and then I killed him. With fire.

First thing that pops into my mind is Cole from Infamous.

Infamous 1 or 2?

I'll admit he was a prick in 2, but in 1 he was an endearing relatable person who, in a split second and stroke of sudden fate became the sole person who could preserve and protect the entirety of humanity.

But yeah, I wanted to kick him in the balls in the second game.

Really? I liked him more in the second game. He was just funnier and wasn't as gruff. He was still good in the first, but I think better in the second. His voice actor was more annoying though...

Oh, I want to add Reaver from Fable 2 to the list. He's basically the "I want a character who's a complete dick to the player and get's absoluetly nothing bad in return" character. He's pointless (since the prophecy could easily work with only 3 heroes instead of 4), he's annoying as hell, his exsistance only points out how linear the game actually is "What? I can kill random townsfolk for looking at me but I can't kill this one guy who actually deserves it?" and is just plain stupid in a game where one of the underlying themes is "You -can- be evil, but you'll suffer the consequences for being so!"

Wakka? He was awesome. Also those cat...things. You know what red and the gun arm guys were cool too. I would say FF after a certain point although all Cids are awesome.

Unfortunately Wakka wasn't the protagonists of FFX.... which was a shame, because it would made the games 400x better, and infinityX cooler
