Whether your argument is either the frequency of titles on a nintendo console or perhaps the quality of that character's game on the console. Which characters do you believe don't belong on this latest installation of the Smash?

Wolf O'Donnell. He's basically another Star Fox clone (for the record, I know he plays differently. He hit's harder and moves slower. That still makes him a clone. Ganondorf is the same thing). I know that they were looking for "evil" characters to help fill out the roster, but come on!

Ganondorf. He deserves to be in the game very much, but not in his current fighting mode. He needs his bloody sword! Especially that ornate glowy one from Twilight Princess.

Lucario. I've stopped caring about pokemon long before Brawl came out. I know he just got his own movie, and he's kinda the new "hot" pokemon, but there's enough of the friggin rats in the game already! Pikachu, Charizard, Ivysaur, Squirtle, and Jigglypuff! That's plenty!

Wolf O'Donnell and Falco Lombardi. Both are just Fox clones, I thought we got RID of clones?

Ganondorf: Exactly the same thing, but with Captain Falcon.

Ike: He plays COMPLETELY differently from Marth, but aside the swords size and color, can you HONESTLY tell them apart? Fire Emblem is a decent series and all, but COME ON. Make Lyn a playable character instead! She rocked and looks different from the others! Marth and Ike are just boring, and look like freaking twins.

R.O.B. He's not even a /character/. He's a bloody peripheral that died out when it was /made/.

They need to get rid of Mario. I mean, come on, does he truly serve a purpose to the Smash Bros. Universe?

All joking aside, I agree with the Wolf/Falco bit, it's a bit much to take from that series and just say "HEY, It's Fox without all the...necessity...or something, you give me money"

And we need to relax on the Pokemon thing. I mean, two was enough in the original (not counting the Pokeball item) but now there's just..too many. I realize that's one of Nintendo's biggest staples, but come on.

What I wanted to see, honestly, give us Generic Protagonist from the Punch-Out series. Or hell, Ridley from Metroid would be an interesting addition. I can hear the "OP Squeals" now...

I feel that Snake just doesn't belong there. I mean, here we have all these odd looking creatures, with only a few that are humane looking, and are simply just dressed oddly. Snake is the type of "kill" character that would literally kill instead of simply hitting you.

I haven't gotten Wolf yet, so no comment really. I do agree that Falco/Fox cloning is complete bullshit. If their Final Smashes had been different, I may have thought differently. But they are exactly the same in every way.

The whole Pokemon thing has been completely blown overboard. I can understand them replacing MewTwo with Lucario; but seriously; Pokemon Trainer? That's crazy. I mean, I know they get more money from Pokemon sponsors, but seriously, it's going overboard now.

R.O.B. has no attacks worthy of pretty much anything. He doesn't even deserve to be a character. All his moves consist of him blowing fiery shit out of his big metal ass and just waving his hands around.

I disagree on the ROB part. ROB was the main reason why Nintendo first got it's foothold in North America, and helped to launch the Famicom moreso in Japan. He's an icon of the early Nintendo era. He may not play well, but he certainly deserves to be in the game; he's been there since before Link, Samus, or any of the other mainstream characters except Mario and Donkey Kong.

I'd personally love to axe Ike from the game. He might play different from Marth, but he looks like a literal clone of him.

Mr Game and Watch. I love him, but he makes that godawful beeping noise, not just when he attacks or does special moves, but ALL THE GODDAMN TIME.

Every single character since the time it became a lot easier to just list the characters that WON'T be in Brawl.

Pretty much everyone has a good argument here... except the Ike bit.

Ike is the replacement for Roy (a slower, more powerful Marth for the uninformed) and he seems to do a good job of switching things up from Marth's repertoire of moves. Instead of going straight up with his Up+B, he throws his sword in the air, catches it and comes crashing down on his opponents. His B attack has less range and does a helluva lot more damage. His Smash+B is a quick dash in either direction and not the combo that Marth has. I think he was a welcome addition.

Other than that, I'm happy with the character selection. Now if only Sonic were better...

Besides, the point about Marth and Ike being identical was directed at Fire Emblem's fetish for blue-haired men as protagonists, as opposed to how they play. Pay more attention.

1) Falco: OK....Wolf does play a lot differently than Fox but Falco is barely different enough to not be called a plaet swap. Replace him with someone from the Custom Robo series.

2) PKMN trainer: What? We have 3 characters that were items now playable?

3) Ganon: I want something more than a USELESS Captain Falcon wannabee.

Other than that I'm fine with how the characters play. Even "clones" like Toon Link are fine.

1. I feel wolf should not have been in this instalment. I can understand falco, i don't know why people are complaining about him (aside from the same freakin' final smash) but i feel Wolf was just a completely unnecesary character. I think it would have been better to subsitute him with Krystal or someone else.

2. PKMN trainer: Seriously, do we really need any more pokemon in this? We have Pikachu, Jigglypuff, Lucario, and including PKMN Trainer, Squirtle, Ivysaur, and Charizard. That's a total of 6 pokemon. 3 is enough for me (poor pichu though)

3. Ike: first of all, they both look almost exactly the same. Usualy when my friends are just doing a random character and they end up with Ike/Marth, we have to pause to see which one it is (don't know why they don't just look at the names) i would have preffered Roy or someone else besides

4. R.O.B: I like the little robot, but i think he's a bit too out of place here. I could go either way, since he is such a cute little robot.

It's not that Ganondorf is useless, it's that Captain Falcon is better and was in first. If Ganondorf was in the original and Falcon added in Melee, people would probably be calling him useless.

I personally hate Wario. He's is cool, but he just doesn't feel right. Change him up a bit and we'll talk, but otherwise, cut him.

In my opinion, two definitely don't belong:

R.O.B. Yes, he's somewhat of an icon of the NES era, but a Smash fighter? Not quite.

Wolf O'Donnell. Maybe the fans adore him, but to everyone else, he's a grey Fox.

Wolf and ike, for all the reasons already stated. Same goes for lucas, just another clone.

Personally, Sonic is pissing me off. It was a cool idea, and I think he's a great character, it's just that his final smash is so god damn cheap. :(
