Characters that don't belong in the Brawl.

Personally, I didn't agree with Snake being in Brawl, and his Final Smash is terribly cheap, I find, but hey, he's there, and I can't really do anything about it.

I'm still upset that Pichu was taken out of SSBM, though. He was cute and my favorite, but oh well, what can we do but deal with it?

A lousy, not particularly ground-breaking NES game? And implementing them as obnoxiously cute little squeaky guys in fuzzy brightly colored coats?

Not to mention the extremely pathetic "final smash"

Also, I'm surprised how they actually made snake fit in, instead of making him so "button mashy" they made him more...spammy, sure he was intended to be "tactical and sneaky" but if everyone can see you at all times then you have no choice but to grab everyone and "put them to sleep" if they come near you, RPG them away, then plant mines everywhere, and a remote bomb somewhere, then hide in a corner and "nikita" everyone, and then to cover the air above you, use a frikin' mortar, and if that fails, escape with the cypher drone you pulled out your ass.

Also, talk about fucking Pokemon Overload, is this pokemon stadium or Smash Brothers?!

Oh and Sonic is kind of the odd one out...even frikin' Snake fits in more.

I haven't unlocked Ganondorf yet, seems like I'm not missing much since I already have captain falcon.

Snake's Final Smash is actually pretty easy to dodge, you just have to get the timing right and roll out of the way before it hits you.

Personally, I feel R.O.B. was a dumb addition to the roster. I thought this was a game for Nintendo characters, not really old pieces of crappy hardware.

1) Falco: OK....Wolf does play a lot differently than Fox but Falco is barely different enough to not be called a plaet swap. Replace him with someone from the Custom Robo series.

2) PKMN trainer: What? We have 3 characters that were items now playable?

3) Ganon: I want something more than a USELESS Captain Falcon wannabee.

Other than that I'm fine with how the characters play. Even "clones" like Toon Link are fine.

toon link?! ID MUCH sooner choose pokemon trainer or ganondorf loooong before id choose him!(not falco, tho, he can rot in smashbros hell for all i care).
atleast with the other clones, they arent just a shorter copy of a character. i mean, COMEON! 'toon link' 'link', you might as well just make shadow link his own character as well, since hes as different as link is to toon link

its 1 thing to say Ike isnt a clone, since his moves aren't all the same as marth's,
but ganondorf? if you play ganondorf and captain falcon side by side, you will see that their moves are EXACTLY the SAME. i honestly nvr realized how exactly alike they were until i had played captain falcon after recently playing ganondorf, and was ASTOUNDED at how their moves were all exactly the same, (except the final smash)

tho, even after this, i still dont think they should get rid of Ganondorf (tho maybe give him his own move set,), since Ganondorf is an important villian in the Nintendo games.

2. Ness and Lucas. They look... strange. And they can talk, but form no real words but thirr moves. And thier Up+B's are rediculous. Why not just launch them if they're in the air already?

3. Ganondorf. He could stay in if he wasn't a clone.

4. Jigglypuff and Pkmn Trainer. Jigglypuff=wtf? and Pkmn Trainer=Advertising.

5. Falco. Wolf should have replaced him. I got sick of his rediculous screaming in Melee when you won. "MISSION! COMPLEEETE!!!"

6. Toon Link. They should have kept Young Link.

7. Rob. Not Super Smash Bros. material.

8. What the HELL happened to Dr. Mario? He was actually decent, and not a clone! Just a re-skin with significantly different moves!

10. Sonic. I will get flamed for this one, I know it. I just never appreciated his near-anime style, and his one eye with 2 pupils. And no offense, but he's slightly cheap to use.

I cannot fathom why they put these characters I don't like, don't understand or don't want to play as in games... but there they are nonetheless, mocking me. Oh sure, I can (and do) simply choose not play as them, but that doesn't stop their cold, unblinking eyes from boring holes into me from their haughty slots on the character select screen.

How can those stygian industry heads sleep, knowing as they do of the cruel fate they've
thrust upon me? To play this game, I must be forcibly subjected to the untoward presence of characters I'll likely not use.

I originally wasn't going to say anything, because I don't care for the Super Sash Bros. line at all, but this actually made me laugh... Everyone here got burned, badly! Sorry that you don't like some of the characters in the game you bought, how dare those execs make your life so horrible. How about some truly original characters? Luke Skywalker, or Wedge Antilles even, from Rogue Squadron? How about Characters that haven't appeared in 15 other games? No ideas? Me either, that is why I don't own a Wii!

there are so many things wrong with what you just said, that i dont no where to start...

-first, Luke Skywalker would not be original, considering EVERYONE in the entire WORLD knows who he is.

-second, the REASON they only use characters from videogames, (since you seem to be too stupid to figure it out on your own) is because that is what this game is themed around: characters from classic video games around the world, joining together to beat the crap out of each other for our amusement.

-third, it would be stupid to create original characters in a game like this, because then their wouldnt be any time to develop his personality and to make the player to get some attachment to the character, whether it be love, hatred, amusement, or to just want to see him beat repeated until he finally stops moving and lies motionless on the ground

HOW was Dr. Mario NOT a clone??? please show me what was different between them besides their looks and the fact that mario throws fire while dr mario throws medication?

Dr. Mario's throw is significantly improved, he runs faster, he has a different Down+B, and he actually has decent A damage.

Falco and Wolf... yeah. They could have done more to make them different. At least give them a different final smash. Three Landmasters is just lazy.

R.O.B. is actually a good character. I like him. (it?)

As I'm sure everyone knows, there were a hell of a lot of requests for Sonic to be in the game. As everyone also knows, Nintendo will do anything for more money.

Snake... eh. I don't really play as him, but I won't complain.

I thought PKMN trainer was an awesome idea. Still do. I wish they had used something other than the Squirtle/Ivysaur/Charizard combination though.

Ganondorf is a perfect example of how NOT to make a good character. He's even slower than Bowser and his attacks aren't powerful enough to make up for it.

I like the Ice Climbers. Don't know why.

Fuck Ness and Lucas.

Ike is completely different from Marth. I really don't see how people confuse the two.
Seriously though. Make Lyn a playable character.

I like Lucario. I didn't like mewtwo in Melee because of his pissweak A moves. Lucario does not have pissweak A moves. His Side-B is also much better, plus he looks cooler.

Peach; the only reason she's in there is for the pedos and the guys who fantasize to see her get more naked than she did in some of the Mario games.

Pokemon Trainer; Pokemon is so out of season I think it's like wolfbane for the gaming society. The average person stopped liking that game the moment they got out of gradeschool! And on that note why didn't they just call the charact Ash?! At least give the poor sap his real name.

when i first saw wolf in brawl (i havent really played the games) i literaly asked my friend if that was a reall character or if they just made it up, and with a name like wolf you cant really blame me

So Wolf O'Donnell is an odd name but not Fox McCloud or Falco Lombardi? =P

I haven't played the game yet because I'm European and they hate us, so I can't really say who shouldn't be there, but one character that should have been there is Megaman. He is one of the more important characters of early Nintendo after all... Sure he might have ended up as a Samus clone but I'd rather see him than a character like PKMN Trainer who can't even fight his own battles =P

King DeDeDe is Kirby's Arch Enemy though! You gotta admit that he's important...even if he kinda sucks in the game >_>


-and why all the Jigglypuff hate guys? JP was the perfect fighter, first impression that makes you just flat-out laugh, then while they underestimate you, you put them to sleep, use "rest" on them, and then charge up your spin attack and own them when they hit the ground.

Also, Peach seems to be under-rated, she isn't great, and her final smash is crap (to an extent, you can still "charge-side-a" and own people one at a time, you just gotta be quick about it) but I think she fits just fine, we have Luigi, Mario, Bowser...why not peach? She can float around and actually attack while floating around, and then user her "up B" too, she uses Toad as a human shield (good way to throw Toad in there too), and to top it all off, she can kick peoples ass...with her ass...if that doesn't work, then she can use a golf club, tennis racket, or frying pan, her only really shit move is the one where she pulls that worthless throwable sprout thingy out of the ground.

I also like Olimar, but, he's really only good for "1 on 1" - he's practically screwed against multiple people, since he only has 6 pikmin.

EDIT: -and I do agree with most about PKMN Trainer, because he really only seemed good "in theory"

i dunno, i've had great success with both pkmn trainer and king dedede, 1 on 1, dedede is really tough to excell with but in group combat he's pretty devastating, litterally the most powerful character in the brawl so there are some upsides to him.

i also think luigi in his current state is worthless

game and watch is amusing but seriously the novelty wore off, get rid of him.
