Jigglypuff.

'Nuff Said.

I personally like Pokemon Trainer and Pikachu, but despise every other Pokemon in any Smash Bros game. (Pokeballs don't count.

You obviously don't know the powerhouse that is Jigglypuff.
watching an expert with the 'puff (a man i call god of brawl, i would have his children he is so shiny) demolish experienced players wielding any other character is a must before you die, don't underestimate the puff in the hands of one who knows the ways.

ugh too many ppl complaining that characters should go because they "look bad" or you dont know what they are from. really. just go swallow a knife. a lot of characters got nerfed, like falcon and ganon and jiggly. the only character i dont like is falco, he plays weird for me and his throwing reflector is just a minor annoyance and not really useful. wolf plays way different from fox despite similar moves, tho krystal could have been better. oh yea, PKMN trainer isnt very good, but honestly ive had fun now and then playing all the other characters.

if you cant seem to get the hang of a character that doesnt mean it should be kicked from the roster. you should just stop sucking with him. characters should be amusing too, this game was intended for FUN not necessarily serious gameplay, so randomness and absurdity should not be unaccounted for

Nope R.O.B. was some weird gadget for the NES. Also featured in the WarioWare series I think.

Check out the Wikipedia page for further information.

I wish they would have put in Grey Fox (the ninja from MGS for everyone that doesn't know.)

But I have to agree with the rest of the board Wolf needs to go, I personally like falco cause fox tends to be a little too fast for his own good and falco is the right speed for me.

I understand Ganandorf being there cause you need to have variety, some people like speed and some like strength

not a fan of the Pikmin dude, Wario, or King Dedede, but hey at least they are trying new things.

They should have got rid of Marth, and left Roy, cause i don't care what anyone says Roy was better

And Fuck Lucas, what a useless character, at least have a couple different moves than Ness, at least the Fox trio kinda had different moves, like Falcos shield gets thrown instead of just staying on him, and his combo attack is slightly different, and wolfs dash attack can go in different directions...

wolf is just a clone and not only that hes a clone of a clone

jigglypuff has been undeserving since the first game

lucario, while I have begun to like him more is still not as good as mewtwo was

ice climbers are undeserving

Ganondorf, the pkmn trainer, toon link, R.O.B., falco, and Ike are deserving but they should have made ganondorf, toon, link and falco no longer clones.

The only other character I have a problem with is sonic simply because they made him way too weak, aside from jigglypuff I had the hardest time out of all the characters beating boss battles with him.

im think im handling myself pretty well from strangling almost everyone on this forum. the characters that left the game deserved to leave. either for clone reasons or the complete failures like pichu and mewtwo (dont stand up for them. lowest on the tier list. pichu hurts herself and mewtwo was like trying to play Flubber). R.O.B. saved nintendo he desierves to be in there as much as mario. characters need to be FIXED but none of them have really serious flaws. there's a good interview with pro brawl players on the 1up website if you want a small analysis of some characters. it at least proved to me that meta knight, marth, 3d, and olimer are close to if not THE best characters in the game

I'm gonna have to say Falco shouldn't of been included in this installments line up. Yes, Wolf is basically a clone of Fox but its a different face. Including all three was a mistake. Including Ike and Marth in this game was an improvement over melee because unlike Marth and Roy, Ike and Marth are not twins with only minor differences in speed in power but rather quite different. We're introduced with a new move set for Ike while being left with the classic move set for Marth, with improvement on his smash B + left or right combo move.

People have been complaining about the plethora of pokémon characters in brawl and i can understand that. It was a good thing that they brought back pikachu and jigglypuff as well as including the Pokémon trainer. Now Lucario can be seen as just another copy of Mewtwo as they both have similar moves or the basis of their moves are connectable. Lucario was included mainly to promote the newer generation of pokémon, imo. It would explain why they've also included more third generation Pokémon in the weapons category (Gulpin, Latios, Latias, Groudon, Gardeviour etc. etc.).

Wolf and Falco should actually stay. They play so differently that calling them clones is horrible and you should feel ashamed if you do so. Their aerial and ground A attacks are quite different now, as are their B-attacks.

Stop complaining about final smashes, they're horribly unbalanced and you shouldn't play with them on anyways.

I don't think that any characters need to be removed as such but some could be made a lot different, specifically the Fox, Falco, Wolf trio. Having the same final smash for all three was just lazy as there could easily have been differences.

What really got me though was some of the unnecessary nerfs that characters got, Gannondorf in particular stands out here, I know he's basically a Capt. Falcon clone but he handled so differently its pretty forgivable. But to reduce his power as it has been just makes him worthless, his power was the only thing that made up for him moving and handling like a beached whale, without that he's almost pointless now.

It's not that bad. You can kill Bowser at 80% on FD if you sweetspot the Fair. He still rocks some serious socks. I actually think some of his smash attacks are more powerful now, mainly the up smash. I think it's hilarious how they nerfed his utilt though.

Seriously...WTH?

They should have given Falco a final smash involving his arwing. If anyone recalls, at the end of Aquas in Starfox 64- "I'll take the sky anyday."

Wolf and ROB

Wolf - because we don't need another fox clone. ok,ok so one of them is faster, other shoots differently, and they may be different mechanically but the concept of the move set is the same. We already have Fox/Falco and that should do.

ROB - simply because I see him as too minor of a character.

What about Pit? He came two decades ago, was only in two games that didn't sell very well, stand up by today's standards, or spawn a franchise.

Ice climber's need to go. Simplistic game, frustrating characters.

R.O.B is a marketing gimmick not a character. Since he's made out of plastic, he doesn't even look or move interestingly either.

Lucas wasn't even released in America or Europe.

I think the whole point of Snake is that he is really out of place. That's what makes him funny.

Tell that to my Nintendo Freak friend. He knows practically every nintendo game that's been released in Japan, even if was only in Japan!

He even yelled at me when Lucas was revealed in the SmashDojo when he said "OMFG Lucas is in Bwrawl!"
then i said "Who's Lucas?"
then he was like totaly "OFMG You don't know who Lucas is? From Mother/Earthbound?!?! It was a total hit in Japan!"
"How the hell am I supposed to know that?"
"Go to hell!"

Sonic. Everything related to SEGA these days feels cheap and B-rated, and that doesn't belong in a Smash Bros. title. I don't care if Nintendo is being nice to SEGA, letting them produce their crap to the Wii, can't they just let one game be pure Nintendo? Sure, Snake is in it, but you can't say anything bad about him. Besides, the first Metal Gear was released on the NES, so Snake has more Nintendo in him compared to Sonic.
I smell some bias hatred here? So what if SEGA have sold out a little too much over the past few years, it doesn't change the fact that Sonic was and still is regfarded as a world-wide gaming icon, i think he belongs in there as much as any other character!
Plus there are plenty 'pure-nintendo' games on the Wii, just for your aryan desires;
i.e Mario-Kart, Mario Galaxy, Mario party etc.
