JK announced pretty much from book 4 on that people would die each year, so everyone knew that characters were going to die. Saying who specifically is a massive spoiler yes, but saying that someone from the anime MSN, or the show Angel dies does not constitute a spoiler.
I just realized that we were on two different wavelengths the entire time. I thought that we were talking about announcing the death of a specific character, just not the specific manner in which it occurs. I think you're talking about just mentioning that A character dies, not which one. That is not a spoiler.
Biggs from Star Wars. The original one. He was such a dreamer... He belived we could be free from opressive governments and live good lives. Another life consumed by war.

That's what I figured, and was trying to get across. If not I would have been very confused since most media for anyone over age twelve usually will involve some sort of death.
Yes, and "Dad" in Fallout 3 as well, Liam Neeson is killed less than halfway through, I mean c'mon.
Bethesda, why hire Patrick Stewart and Liam Neeson if they get half (or less than half) the lines of every other main character in the story. I guess to a degree we should be happy we got them at all, but it feels like a waste of talent to do that.
Darth Maul,Darth Maul,Darth Maul,Darth Maul and Darth Maul!
He was a much more interesting character than Count Doku (or however you spell it) and he was also the ONLY character that was actually interesting in The Phantom menace. DAMN YOU GEORGE LUCAS!
Back in the CoD4 days, that nuke exploding and killing thousands of American soldiers really hit close to home. It was one of those, "Oh shit. That really just happened" moments.
Eddie Raja. Man Eddie was such a cool cat what with his Golden Desert Eagle and how much of a poor man's Drake he was. I actually kinda wanted him to show up in Uncharted 3 if it is ever made. Imagine if you will Drake having to contact and bring in everyone. Sully, Chloe, Tenzin, Eddie, Elena. That would be sweet!
I guess but anyone can die can't they? Telling someone that someone dies in a game or a movie or whatever isn't going to give away much is it? I'd rather spoil a little than spoil a lot so to speak
Saying that someone dies is a massive spoiler. I don't know if you're a fan of the series, but how would you (or a fan of the series if you're not) have liked it if you had learned about that massive death related spoiler in the 6th Harry Potter book before you read it? Hmm?

My point exactly. Telling someone that a character dies really doesn't spoil anything. You have no idea when its gonna happen and how far a long in the series its going to be before it happens.
Don't know why I'm spoilering this, nobody knows what Skulduggery Pleasant is.
Oh well.
I was kind of disappointed Davina Marr died so early on. Granted, she was in the last book all the way through and was a baddie, but she seemed kinda cool.
She didn't even have an epic death, her collarbone just snapped. That was it.
Not sure if it counts, but...
I was actually, physically sad when the remnant was properly fused with Tanith and she visited Valkyrie. She's not exactly dead and she's been in all the books so it's not exactly early on, but still.
She was the definition of epic. Going at all is too soon.
Miko Miyazaki from Order of the Stick. I honestly think that she still had a lot of growth, and maybe they could have explored her character and the whole "Paladins being Lawful Good and STILL opposing the heroes" concept.
