I prefer my character deaths to be induced by the writing, so that there's a sense to it, story-wise. This one was a clear cut case of actress-won't-continue-so-we'll-have-to-kill-the-character.

I quite disagree, his death was great in many ways: I was completely taken aback by it, having perceived him as the main character with whom you're supposed to identify. It took me till the end of the book to accept that he wouldn't be coming back. An unexpected twist, always great. Besides, he kind of had it coming, being so naive on the one side but so misbelieving towards Arya at the same time.

FFS, we didn't even get to see what he really looked like in the game, because he died by the Patriots the first time you talk to him, and he was disguised as the DARPA chief.

I was kind of disappointed Davina Marr died so early on. Granted, she was in the last book all the way through and was a baddie, but she seemed kinda cool.
She didn't even have an epic death, her collarbone just snapped. That was it.

I was actually, physically sad when the remnant was properly fused with Tanith and she visited Valkyrie. She's not exactly dead and she's been in all the books so it's not exactly early on, but still.
She was the definition of epic. Going at all is too soon.

I know what it is, I didn't like it though. More people will know when the film comes out.

He was a much more interesting character than Count Doku (or however you spell it) and he was also the ONLY character that was actually interesting in The Phantom menace. DAMN YOU GEORGE LUCAS!

I honestly have to say Lavitz from Legend of Dragoon. They make you fall in love with him and get used to his moves (for those who haven't played, when you attack you have to press X at the right time to perform parts of a combo) and him and the main character Dart form this awesome Bromance... and he was a soldier, so when he saw a man pull something out of his Majesty's back, He transforms into Dragoon form and dives at the shadowy man, malicious intent in his eyes. As he nears, though, the object pulled from the back of his Majesty Albert turns into a sword and pierces the impenetrable armor of the Dragoon warrior, pushing through his chest. (The sword is a fabled weapon able to penetrate any armor; The Dragon Buster)

All in one disc of FOUR! He shouldn't have died....
