You didn't see that coming? Anybody that has any reasonable knowledge about Halo cannon would have seen that coming. In Halo 1 The Pillar Of Autumn is running from Reach, with the ONLY spartan that survived Reach on board.
And I know that this is at the end of A Crack in Time and he did get better (sort of) but Ratchet
i actually know a fair chunk about halo and iv'e read reach but there was no character development in the game every time some poor bastard got vaporised i was like "meh i didnt know the **** back to the pew pew pew".
Although not technically a death but Iwasawa's departure literally had me in tears (and I'm one of those manly men who don't normally cry). I absolutely adored her character and was looking forward to seeing her sticking around and bringing a sense of "I am the closest thing to how a real human would act in a fantasy anime setting". After archetype after archetype of characters being paraded around in all anime, Iwasawa was the first genuine breath of fresh air I'd seen in a while. And she goes in episode 3... WTF man, not cool... She only gets like 11 minutes screen-time but Christ almighty did she use them fucking well... At least her departure is a prominent moment in the series (which is fucking excellent I might add), so it wasn't really a bad or unwarranted death, but I missed her character much more than when other great characters are killed off too early...
Darth Maul,Darth Maul,Darth Maul,Darth Maul and Darth Maul!
He was a much more interesting character than Count Doku (or however you spell it) and he was also the ONLY character that was actually interesting in The Phantom menace. DAMN YOU GEORGE LUCAS!
Bon Kurei. After redeeming himself by saving the protagonist, we meet him years later in Impel Down where he proves himself to be more and more awesome, almost killing himself to find help for Luffy, before staying behind in order to let Luffy, his hero and 200 other prisoners go free before tearily telling Luffy to save his brother, before turning to face his fate with his presumed last words "I have no regrets!"
Ace, we were getting to know him more and more and then... bam. An entire story arc's efforts, wasted, including Bon Kurei's heroice sacrifice being in vain.
So very sad...

OT: This really means nothing to well, all of you. but Mr. Bigglesworth, the death kitten. he was my characters familiar in D&D and he fell in a fucking black hole (long story) right before I got a chance at the big bad. Little bastard got more kills than I did... I guess the razor wire(another long story) added attack?

Fred, but she was in it for 3 seasons. But still, her and Wesley (after two seasons worth of flirting and missed opportunities) finally get together only to die the episode afterwards.
