Sadly no one has joined.
I think it's because there seems to be this common idea that everyone pretends he actually IS a character--ie, he has concrete likes and dislikes, motivations, flaws, prejudices, biases, and you could reasonably conceive of him doing some mundane activity outside of his 2-dimensional milieu (say, surfing the internet, or shopping for groceries).
And he's not. He's a cool voice in a character model that shoots things.
There's NOTHING THERE.
Every time I see him on one of those character count-down lists I snarl.
Cesare Borgia from Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. From the very first time I saw him I've hated that selfish, arrogant, 'I can do anything I want because I am the Pope's son.' attitude of his.
I also really hated Frank Fontaine from Bioshock. What was with those crappy analogies anyway? If he was trying to imitate a mob boss he did a piss poor job of it.
That dick you get partnered with in Vice in LA Noire. I don't know what it is, but I instantly hated his character more than I ever have in a video game. Hell, when you start driving his car around ans says it is his car, the first thing I do is crash the fuck out of it, get a new one, run the partner down, and then blaze so fast through Vice, I failed the entire department section, blahblahblah....I reeeeaaally hated that guy. And the ending, too.

OT: DESMOND MILES. GOD, I hate that guy. Seriously, he is just so annoying, and I can't even explain why...he just is. Same with Fish-Face, and to an extent Rebecca (the l33t speak is unnecessary). Shaun's the only cool one, and even then I only mainly like him 'cause he's a dick to everyone I hate.
This topic also reminded me of my friend's *really* irrational hatred for Sander Cohen from BioShock. I think it's partly because of the "little moth" thing; otherwise, I don't even know what the hell. He was totally my favourite character.

Whoa, forgot about that guy. Even though I totally mentioned BioShock in my original post... *facepalm* I thought Fontaine's backstory was great, but when he actually jumps into the game in person, he is indeed pointlessly dumb and annoying and will - not - shut - up. And his voice is really grating. I missed Andrew Ryan's sinister/threatening radio messages. It was like bonding.

Ashley because I unconditionally love any/all aliens, and she be racist towards them.
Jack because... Well... I dunno, I just hate her guts. And I think she sucks. Reel Big Fish covers this subject pretty well song-wise, methinks.
