that happened to me once and i never buy there games anymore its just to much work to get a refund
This is why I prefer ebay. Find trustworthy sellers who are selling the game at a good or new condition and you're set. I've boughten 3 games off ebay that way and one seller actually got me a replacement disk when it was damaged in the mail. Try getting that kind of service from some second-rate scam shop.
Well I do agree Gamestop in general does suck, but the problem is that they are still the best option. I do agree with many people here, cheek before you leave. Unlike other people here I only deal with cash. I have yet to see a credit card that look appeasing. Now Gamestop has two things people aren't going to get from a retail store, some of there money back. Sure it isn't a lot, Gamestop knows it, they have you by the balls since you have no other option if you go with cash. There are two options, pawn shops and local game stores(if you're lucky) in which odds are they won't sell games as cheaply as Gamestop. The problem is they can't. Gamestop makes money threw the simple act of people selling games at a low price and selling it for a higher price. A pawn shop does the same thing, but if something doesn't work, screwed be you. Sure Ebay is a good idea, but when put in a situation of getting none of your money back from buying a said product or little, most go with little over none. It sucks, but it is the best option so far. Deal with it, make your own store, or go another route. There is more way then one to skin a cat here, just most are too lazy to do any skinning. Antrafy is the problem, not the Gamestop.
in Britain we can't... GAME and Game Station (pretty much the British equivalent of Gamestop keep their games behind the counter and only have the cases on display... + the disks and instruction manual are in plastic wrapper when you buy so you can't check it... then again, the wrapper probably prevent any damage to the disk occuring
