Oh yeah, we were discussing this at the end of US History today. Poor woman. I never get flu shots, and I'm sure as hell not getting one now.

I don't have much to say on this subject except for:

"Yeeks!"

Luckily my immune system is the equivalent of high-yield nuclear weapons.

This exactly. Something like this would've been all over the news pretty much everywhere if it was real.
It is, when I looked at related links it seemed like there was a bunch of TV channels doing a story on this girl.

And I'm 99% sure it's real, in the clip they said they had doctors that tested her and determined what it was so I'm sure it's real.

it's very odd, hard to believe, and isnt a reason to not get a vaccine, though not everyone needs one if they dont want to myself included.

I don't believe this. I mean it all seems too ridiculous to be true. She can talk fine when running or walking backwards? Any other time she collapses into a writhing mass of limbs? Not to mention the whole "flu-shot triggers it" thing. And even if this is real, the 1-in-a-million can't even be CLOSE to accurate, otherwise there would be many other people with dys-whatever-the-hell-it-is.

But the question is, real as in "has a neurological disorder" or "this was solely caused by the flu shot (as is heavily implied)".

The first I can believe, there are a lot of weird as sh** diseases and disorders out there. The latter, no freaking way. Either way, there is no real story here.

What she needs is anxiety therapy.

I was going to ignore this whole flu shot thing, but then with so many people spreading fear, it's probably a good idea to go get it in case of an outbreak?

Ah ha! Now I saw the links. Now I believe it's real, but I don't think the flu shot caused it.

In fact, there would be FAR more people with the condition, if we go by Discworld logic.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will convince me the Holocaust never happened before I believe a word of this.

How stupid are people, really? Why are so many people so willing to believe a ridiculous story made up by some random girl? Atleast Ahmadinejad has credentials.

EDIT: To be fair, I never even watched the video as I've heard about this and how ridiculous it is previously, so maybe the girl puts on a really convincing act, but I mean, really people. Do you realize how ridiculous this sounds?

C'mon, the only doctors who looked at her concluded that "I don't know what the fuck's wrong with her". What can they do, take a blood sample to see if she is in fact suffering from Saturday Night Fever?

When she can run fine and while doing so can talk and act normally yet when walking she goes into breakdance mode it doesn't suggest some rare vaccine-linked illness it suggests to me that she has a full blown case of the attention whoresies or the galloping crazies. I prescribe two doses of media coverage with a month-long course of attention deprivation.

She walks in a very weird way and talks slowly now.
That's because all Cheerleaders are iditos :)

Look Mar! I made a funny.

Seriously though, big deal. I hate to sound like one of those "do what the government tells you, question nothing ect. ect." but this is a one in a million, she doesn't seem to of needed to have taken a flu shot anyway. As they said, she looked very healthy (that was supposed to mean that she looked hot).

Lots of people have said that Flu shots are bad for you, I haven't seen all the evidence yet, but I'm inclined to say that no they don't.

The government is obviously planting a biological weapon in the flu shots, and observing the effects it has on people. Watch, she'll mysteriously disappear in 5 days, and the whole story is going to be covered up.

I must admit, after the last flu shot, I am afraid of the 'side effects' this one will produce, but this just seems like an attention whore (Oh look, she's a cheerleader too, those seem to go hand in hand).

I'm sorry, but the test results are back, and yes.
