This video shows a cheerleader who suffered some pretty terrible side effects from getting a normal flu shot. She walks in a very weird way and talks slowly now. But another weird thing is she can walk normally backwards and run normally and she can even talk properly as long as shes running.

I wondered what the members of the Escapist think of this? Does it make you scared to get a flu shot?

Am I a bad person for laughing? A lot?

No I'm not scared of getting a flu shot. I'm scared I'll never see something funnier than that though.

[sub] I'll just be climbing into my anti-flame bunker now...[/sub]

They not only doing just Barack's dirty, dirty plans! But also the schemes!

Thats weird, but I never get flu shots. I think they should go to the elderly and the little kids, everyone else wont die unless they're too stupid to drink water.

Sounds all very weird.
Also, why does it matter that she's a Cheerleader?
because it gives her more charector then girl.

O.T it's strange, but strange is not new to this world. it is facsinating though.

I don't believe it for a second.
This exactly. Something like this would've been all over the news pretty much everywhere if it was real.

Probably because cheerleaders are generally active and the shot shows a dramatic change in comparison.
So then being a Cheerleader can be drastically hazardous to ones health, making the act of Cheerleading evil for convincing youth that The popularity from the sport is worth the possible suffering?

I don't care how this is supposed to be thought of, I am going with "Cheerleading is Evil."

The government is obviously planting a biological weapon in the flu shots, and observing the effects it has on people. Watch, she'll mysteriously disappear in 5 days, and the whole story is going to be covered up.

'Cause it's "tragic."

Now she can't ever achieve her dream, just like 99% of the rest of the world.
It's not Tragic to me, I thinks it's Quite the sarcastic humor.

Now I'm Happy.

I don't believe it, mainly because I have a small amount of medical knowledge, and something like this seems impossible.

(To me, at least)

Though I didn't laugh...so...

Anyways. If this is true, it's very tragic. It's just...tragic? What other word is there?

No, not really.

I just think I'll laugh harder when the other side effects pop up in about two years.

Hypersalivation, cannibalism, slurred speech, delayed reaction time, staggering gait...

Why the heck would she have gotten a standard flu-shot? Those are made for the risk groups: Chronically ill, elderly etc. A cheerleader, who by definition is young-ish and in at least relatively good physical condition would have no need for such.

On closer examination of the video, an existing neurological disorder lurking beneath the surface might explain it, but that doesn't make it the fault of the flu shot like is implied. Rather, the flu shot acted as a trigger for an existing condition. Having cereal for breakfast, taking an aspirin, going for a blood test or something equally everyday might have triggered it just as likely.

So, nothing more astonishing here than say.... someone having a child with autism or being born with six toes:These things just happen sometimes.
