Is it me, or do I imagine him using his silly Batman voice during the entirety of his rage-filled three minutes? Oh God, that is hilarious.

No context is needed you don't talk to another human being that way. I've had people throw feces at me and I didn't flip shit like that. I'm not saying you can't get mad, or that movies are easy but how come he couldn't've just said "Hey stop the scene, man what're you doing?"

all of you attempting to analyze a situation you have no concept of. I'll bet none of you have been on a professional set
Pretty sure I got the concept. C. Bale threatened some guy with kicking his ass, and generally threw a huge hissy fit, while saying "fuck" a lot and trying to belittle another person. Not very hard to grasp. What else would I need to know?

Also, why would I need to be on a professional set to understand that that is, if nothing else, overreacting? I understand what high levels of stress can do to a person, since I've been highly stressed before, does that mean anything?

Anyway, I don't really care nor judge Bale, because I simply don't care about him or the next Terminator film. I just happened to read your comment and thought it was strange that people aren't allowed to think he was overreacting.

By the sound of it, and trust me I've seen this before, they were working on a scene that obviously is rather complicated or kept having to be done over and over. Now, if I know anything about filming stuff, when a scene is going on the lighting guys; hell no one; should be moving around the set while the camera is rolling.

I feel bad for the poor lighting guy, cause you could almost tell he was rather ignorant of what he was doing. Feel even worse for him that he picked "one of those days" for Bale to do it.

Rightfully it should have been the director to take care of it not Bale, but like he said "Do I walk around and tear down your lights during scenes?" Dude obviously did something he wasn't supposed to do.

Bale's serious about his craft.

How would you like it if someone walked up and distracted you over and over while you were at work? Maybe it wouldn't make a difference if you work retail, but actors require concentration and have to become their part. Some yahoo walking in the background is going to annoy the fuck out of them and require time for them to reconnect to their performance.

Bale might have overreacted, but his anger was justified and it sounded like it wasn't the first time the DP messed him up.

I heard about this, but I thought it would have been way worse than what I just heard.

All i can really say is... "lol". I make a point to never use that word, but i think this situation highly calls for it. I like Christian Bale, he has been in 2 of my top 10 favorite movies. And he does seem very serious about his work and he possibly did over react, who knows what happened or why it happened. Is anybody here really going to lose sleep over it?

That's the most awesome thing I have heard. Maybe he was justified in lossing it. What happened?
It sounds like a light technician walked on set during a shot. I dunno though. It seems like he gets payed plenty to do a do-over without complaints.
Yeah, you can hear him say something along the lines of, "Do you want me to break YOUR LIGHTS", or something crazy like that.
Actually it's more like "I don't come and fuck with your lights, why are you fucking with the shoot?"
Actually, later on (I think around 2:30, but I could be wrong), Christian says "Do you want me to smash your fucking lights?!" twice.

Edit:

Thank you for that. I figured that Christian wouldn't just explode out of the blue like that.

Prick, some guy made a mistake, who the fuck is he to act like that. Christ, the guy may have fucked up but after that abuse he's entirely justified to ram the whinging bitches head through a wall. It may have been a hard day or an important scene but going off at a guy that badly is just wrong. He can get a bit angry but he should have acted like a fucking adult.

Great great actor. Does justice for his roles. Went a little overboard but everyone has those days.
