No, what you're doing is spreading your embarrassingly obvious lack of theological education or understanding.Exterminas said:It alway fascinates me how chirstians, who fancy themselves a book religion, keep sticking to the idea of violence-free "healthy" media. Has any of these people ever read the bible? That thing is more violent than most fantasy-novels.
I would like to quote psalm 68:21
"Surely God will crush the heads of his enemies, the hairy crowns of those who go on in their sins."
Or another classic: Deuteronomy 7:10
"Rewarding his haters to their face with destruction; he will have no mercy on his hater, but will give him open punishment."
Or curse chirstians are never short of excuses for this kind of stuff, popular ones are:
That's the old testement, jesus reverted that! - Jep, good point, so why exactly keep modern bibles on draging this thing around like a piece of toilet-paper, stuck at ones shoe?
It's open to interpretation, you can't take the bible literary! - I'm always open to suggestions of how to interprete "crush the heads of his enemies" so that it boils down to "Love and happiness forever after."
I'm not trying to spread hate against religious poeple here, I'm trying to raise awareness about why these people thing christian = happy, peace powerpuff-guys.
Well they try, their results are mixed.Gigaguy64 said:Hmm interesting.
I just hope that this means they will actually TRY to make an interesting and fun game now.
Praise Champion just sounds retarded.
If you win the game, you don't have to play the sequel. Absolutely freaking agreed.pdgeorge said:I agree, the potential awesomeness is.. well... awesome.MarsProbe said:Agree, the thing is that a lot of people want to make Christian games but water down what was said in the Bible.Gigaguy64 said:Indeed. On the other hand, a game called "Rise of the Antichrist" almost sounds like it would be fun. But I'm guessing it (probably) isn't.
I think a Survival Horror Game that takes place in the End times would be an awesome idea.
Trying to survive as the world crumbles around you and people are going insane, maybe even living long enough to see the 4 horsemen of the Apocalypse, that would be cool
And iv never played "Rise of the Antichrist" but iv heard its pretty bad if not repetitive and boring.
Things get watered down for a few reasons sadly
1) "G rating or low"
2) "Safe for kids!"
3) Most Christians focus so closely on 'lead a good life' etc. that they forget that 'leading a good life' used to mean "Be a total bad ass!"
Abraham was willing to stab and cook his son because God said "do it" but then didn't
David, destroyed armies and opposed kings to get to where he was. He then sent out a multiple year long search for the son of one of his closest friends turned enemy so that he could say "Hey, according to the promise I had with your father I have to offer you the chance to live with me in the castle to become my son" despite the fact the kid hated him
Soloman, was prepared to CUT A BABY IN HALF to solve a dispute between two bickering women, he then wrote a book for the bible which is a long as hell love letter between two people describing how sexy they think each other are and how much they want to have sex with each other.
Jesus, saw that the church was doing things horribly wrong, so instead of just asking them "please stop doing that" he TORE THE PLACE APART
Peter (disciple), when he was going to be crucified (the most horrible method of execution of the time) he refused to be crucified in the same way as Jesus was so he requested to be crucified UPSIDE DOWN
I don't care whether you believe in the bible/Christianity or not I just have to be honest, Christians today have lost their balls and need a righteous kick up the ass to remind them "Stop being passive aggressive pussies!"
I reckon at the rate things are going give it twenty or thirty years and that will change.hem dazon 90 said:Funny thing being if there was any Islam themed games thered be an uproar
