Nailos scared silent till this point decided to inpart his wisdom before blindly going into the obviously dangerous cave. "Before we bumbly into this death trap, we should have someone shoot a bolt of magical light down there to see what dangers lay ahead. It might draw out the evils to us so we could take them on in the mouth of the cave, it would leave us more options for attack and evade, rather then being enclosed and blind."

Nailos was proud of military knowlege, it was from being well read. That book that his father had left held more than fond memories.

Trace looked at the cleric, then waved his arm around. "Light source, right here. Ah well, better do as you say." He threw the light from his hand, it travelled at roughly the same hight, before stopping at around 15 metres in front of him. He cast another spell, making the same colour back into his hand. "There, happy now?"

Nailos stared intenstly at the light as it flew down the cave seeing sublty movements prehaps it was his imagination, other than that it appeared safe.

"Well then it seems safe, but for the sake of humoring me could we give it a minute or two? I could have sworn I saw movement..."

Kinglet followed the light with her eyes, then looked towards Garrant. The whole group had come to a standstill.

Though what good did it do them?

They would have to move on, waiting here, fidgeting and cringing while the blackness kept leering up at them wasn't going to make a potential threat go away. While the priest certainly had a point, Kinglet thought that waiting only made things worse.

Having though that, the girl swallowed her fear, squared her shoulders and began walking. She plucked one of the fruit from the bag at her waist while approaching the cave, and took the first bite as she was about to cross the threshold.

Garrant took two stilettos into his hands and followed after Kinglet, sure they were going first but they would be first to spot any dangers that lurked ahead and so would be better equipped to react to them... Or not, if the case may be.

He began to twirl the blades in his hands slightly nervously, the blades cutting through the air, filling it with the minuscule sounds as they whooshed around.

"And so we enter the belly of the beast" he whispered as he caught up to Kinglet.

"Stick to the shadow, we are on a job now, remember that"

And with that he took a step into the deep shadow that lined the walls of the cave, concealing him in total darkness, hiding him from the eyes of their foes.... hopefully.

Your group advances into the the mouth of the cave, the darkness keeping it's distance as Trace holds his mystical hand high illuminating the path. The walls are rough and uneven and the path has only enough room for three to stand side by side. The ceiling only a few feet above you. The heavy plated footsteps of Fitzgerald and Taven echo down the path before you. As you venture deeper you could swear the ever so slightly you saw motions in the shadows. But when inspected there is nothing, no trace of there ever being a creature on this path even.

The path descends even more as you head deeper into the earth, eventually opening into a large spacious cavern with two seperate paths. One leads widens up allowing for much more movement and mobility but it veers directly off to the side and from what you can see the slope of descent lessens. On the other path the cavern narrows, allowing for one person to attempt to force themselves between the crevice at a time, and a faint gust of cool air can be felt alongside the sound of water dripping.

The darkness remains, ever present and ever threatening. It looms at the edges of Traces protective light, hungering for those foolish enough to test their luck, Nailos' earlier fears only proven as a low growl echoes off seemingly every wall.

Nailos lingered in the back off the group as everyone slowly advanced foward. He atleast took comfort in knowing that he was not the only nervous one. The low growls bouncing and echoing off the walls sent a collective chill down his spine and he could even feel it amongest the group.

I really wish patiences was a commen viture Nailos thought to himself.

Number one, I won't be online for the Forseeable Future. My Grades have not.....been the best of late and I'll need to focus more on My studies. Also, I have Voluntarily let go of my Internet Privileges so as to not give in to Temptations as well. [sub]I.E:Forcible taken away from me[/sub]

Following that line of thought, all The Characters I'm currently in control of will enter Bot mode. I'll be sending PMs to the GMs[sub]Hey that rhymed![/sub] for what my Character would do while I'm away. I'll probably be gone for.....well, I really can't say. Worst Case Scenario says I won't be seeing you guys 'till the End of August.[sub]Note, at the very WORST.[/sub] Though thankfully, that doesn't seem that Likely. Current Rate says that I'll only go online Once a Week. Friday probably. Hong King Time I guess, since the Philippines shares Time Zones with them. So, Until then, Sayonara.

Alright man, good luck with your schoolwork. I'll try not to make your guy fall into a vat of acid, or blow himself up in a failed experiment. Or piss off a great elemental warlord from the depths of the elemental chaos.

No new posts because I put in on pause mode while I waited for everyone to get their issues/vacations out of the way. I don't intend on it dying. Just letting it cool off until everyone is able to come back. You can check the group for whenever it comes back up though. However on another note. How was the vacation?

Actually the vacation was amazing, it was in kauai, which has a native population of fearal chickens, couldn't drive for five miles without one of them being in the rode. Also, Is my plan for greg being put in consideration?

No idea where that is, but glad you enjoyed it. Yeah, considering him. Just do me a favor and PM me things like how he looks, acts, what he wears and all that typical character based stuff. Other then that mind if I move the discussion to the group?

Well, I'll try and do this quick because all the details are still here (page 4 and on) You guys had started in the town of Kharn and were approached by a elven warrior known as Tanan Lassaelynn. Through whatever means necessary he had hired you all to do a simple task for him. That task was to go out and investigate the troubles with their water source, an underground lake guarded by elementals. Tanan and his town hold a tenuous truce with these beings so he had asked you not to injure any if bloodshed was avoidable. From there Garrant and Kinglet robbed a small mansion of a local nobleman. They were interrupted in the act but got away with only a few wounds. After that everyone met up in the bar and an informant of Tanan showed up, along with another group member, Taven.

The group set out early the next day and made it to the hills, not far from where the entrance to the labyrinthine tunnels that lead to the water source are located, when you were assaulted by bandits. Your group dispatched them but the leader got away. It was then the dwarf artificer eovik had left (he withdrew from the RP in a PM) saying he was too old for this kind of thing. Also after that even Kinglet learned the truth about Garrants unpleasant past. Slowly however trust between the group members was growing... for the most part.

Venturing further you finally reached the entrance to the caves where you were met with the grisly sight of the scouts who came before you. All dead with their possessions stripped and horrible looking wounds covering their bodies. No sign of the creature that could have done such a thing was left in sight. Swallowing any fear anyone may have had the group ventured into the tunnels.

The group traveled the tunnels for a few hours, always heading down on the cold rock path, the only light coming from Trace and his magic. Eventually you reached a large area with two separate paths. Before you could choose a path however low feral growls began to echo off the walls...

Fitzgerald steps forward throught the darkness," Hopefully I will find my enemy Greg the assertavley amazing" He said to himself, just loud enough so another might hear

There is no response to Fitzgeralds offhand challenge of the darkness, save the growl of beast unseen. Why a feral animal wouldn't attack and would prefer to circle it's victims and let them tremble in fear is more then a little unnerving.

"Well here is where the fun begins" Isaac says in a slightly annoyed tone as he draws his pistol and unsheathes his sword.

Just wondering how far Trace's light source goes out to, if its like a 5ft aura from his hand, or bigger. Wouldn't want to be fighting blind :p

Fitzgerald took out both his shields and pointed them in the direction of the growling,"Get behind me." Fitzgerald said to Issac.

The large blonde man moved in to protect Isaac from whatever creatures lurked in the darkness. Just as he got in front of Isaac another growl came from behind. Then more off to side. The cavern walls echoed with growls until it was impossible to decipher which direction the beasts were coming from.

Suddenly the noise stopped and silenced filled the air for a brief moment before it was broken by the maniacal laughter of a man.

"Oh Fitzgerald you fool, you truly think those things will protect you or your allies? No wonder you were always so weak."
