Aloran knelt looking into the kids eyes,
"Listen kid, if you know where they are and it is reliable info, there could be a great future for you, this Llum, only the begining." He cooed in a promising voice.

The boy looked to Alo, his concentration seeming to increase. and Alo's rather suddenly lifted off the ground and was slammed into a nearby wall, held there.

Hammond waited and put his feet up on the table, growing slightly bored of waiting for Magnis. Okay, I lie. He was getting very bored. Bored of this bar, bored of waiting for people, bored of the strange mixture of damp wood, cheap beer and vomit that hung thick in the air, but especially bored of waiting for Magnis to get dressed and then navigate himself downstairs.

"I'm... going for a walk," he said, knowing that Kronos wouldn't be in a rush to stop him. He put his feet on the floor and stood, stretching to remove what felt like a week's accumulation of collective boredom and he set off in a direction. Any direction. He didn't care. Actually... he decided he did indeed have a destination.

He left the bar, making his way back to the castle to make good on his threat. He was going to put his name in the brickwork. Not that it would get noticed, but people wouldn't care about it either, so it was a half-victory.

He stepped up to the rubble of the once great castle, drawing his beam sword and carved the words "Hammond was here" slowly into the collapsed stone, one line at a time. Once he finished he marveled at his work, satisfied with the quality of the destruction he pretended to have caused and happy that he was perhaps finally by himself again. It had been a long time since he had been able to enjoy his own company, rather than trying to babysit one of those other people...

He walked off once more, spying a market in the not-too-far-off distance. Well he did have a good amount of money left. It couldn't hurt to have a look at the stuff there, right? He could even sell some stuff while he was there.

He navigated his way through the market, looking here and there for somewhere that bought and sold trinkets. He still had that fork, the one he had slipped away from the dinner at Kronos' castle, and he doubted he would run across Em again to present it to her. She didn't really notice him anyway...

Woh, wait. Do you miss Em?

What? No. Of course not. She's hugely annoying. I'm glad that she's gone off with Alo. He's probably gotten himself and Em killed by now.

Okay. Sure. You really must not care about her then. That must be why you've been ignoring this trinket stall for the last 5 minutes.

Surely enough, he had been ignoring it. He wouldn't admit to it though.

I was... looking for a different one. I don't like the look of the guy behind the stall...

Yeh, great lie. I'm sure it would work on someone with intelligence as their dump stat.

...

Well?

Fuck off. I don't need to explain my motives to you.

He silenced the bickering voices in his mind and continued his self-impeded search until he heard a noise that was just distinguishable from the noise of the market, something familiar from somewhere very close by. "What the hell?"

He stopped his earlier search and began a new one. To find out what the hell that noise was and why he found it familiar. The source wasn't making any more noise...

"AHH!"

Okay. Apparently it was. He definitely knew he was closer now. Finally, something half-decent to do after all that stupidity before. He pushed his way towards the noise's source, a small alleyway a short distance from the hustle and bustle of the market.

Well that could have been a longer post.

An enigmatic man entered the alleyway. He was just under six foot and of average build. He was dressed entirely in dark green, from his short-brimmed fedora to his three-piece suit to his shiny leather shoes. At his side he held a dark green briefcase with a brass clip that did not seem to be locked.

His eyes (which, naturally, were the same green shade) cast a deep gaze about the alley, and he saw a woman at the end who appeared unconscious. Turning stiffly and strutting towards her similarly, he made sure no-one else was there, hiding in the shadows or behind a window. He checked each carefully before kneeling, lifting the woman up and checking her pulse.

Alive, he thought, just before someone moved in the corner of his eye at the other end of the alley. Instantly, it seemed, he opened the briefcase and produced a large pistol, which he aimed at the newcomer. All of this was done with a single hand, the other still supporting the woman.

Sorry if this seems abrupt. That's your cue, revolverwolf.

Hammond strode into the alleyway, hoping to find the source of the scream and to save the voice's owner. What he found was not a scene he had expected. Ari, undoubtedly the one who had screamed, and a man, wearing entirely too much green for Hammond's taste, with a gun pointed rigidly in his direction.

Ari wasn't moving... The man with the gun. Had he...?

"What did you... What did you do?" He pulled his glaive from his belt, deciding that using his sword would be entirely ineffective against the gun, and his eyes narrowed, his focus now directly upon the man in green.

"I", said the figure quite calmly, "have found this woman lying unconscious. I determine she has fainted. She is alive. You, however, may soon not be if you do not put your weapon down."

He levelled the gun at the man's forehead.

As much as Hammond completely trusted this guy, he didn't feel exactly as if he was going to get a choice in this matter. He clipped the glaive back onto his belt, already feeling annoyed that his running across someone had resulted in his having to back down from a fight.

"There, the glaive is away. Now if you could mirror the gesture?" Hammond spoke with a feigned air of calmness, knowing he would prefer a fair fight without that ridiculous pistol than the current solution, having to trust the man to follow Hammond's example.

"Good. I see you can be civil." He lowered his pistol and placed it in the briefcase again.

"Now," he added, looking past Hammond, "we seem to be attracting a crowd. Leaving now would be wise. Would you help me carry the lady? I'd hate to leave my briefcase here, where any fool could find it."

Don't worry, I'll pick up the egg.
