COD Hardcore mode- Leave it to the big boys

i jumped into hardcore as a n00b and found it easier than the normal mode
you dont need to be really good to play hardcore its just wankers who say that

I did prestige twice but won't be bothering to do it again. It's just a bit... pointless.

I've always found the word hardcore funny in videogames. Think you're hardcore at WaW? Join the SaS. Think you're hardcore at Madden? Become a pro footballer. Think you're hardcore and Lego: Indiana Jones? Become an adventuring archeologist.

Yes you will. It's called regular Team Deathmatch.
There's more camping and spawning going on in there than any other mode I can imagine.

I haven't played it in 18months, so it might have changed, but I found that a camper or spawner more frustrating due to the low amount of damage you could take. In normal you might still be able to get the jump on a camper or spawner despite their advantage.

But at the end of the day, I was really just trying to parody Old Ben Kenobi.

I play CoD 4 for the lolz and for competition, only on HC/Pam4. Really can not stand SC or Pro-mod of that matter...Softcore just grates me, the constant map, nade icons and the insane amount of rounds it takes to down someone.

Hardcore can be plagued with Campers but that's part of the game, I camp and I rush and I can deal with both of those types of players - I don't disrespect people that play soft or pro-mod, it's a different skill set too what is used in HC.

I usually roll with a Silenced M14 with Bando/UaV/Extreme con or R700 Bando/SoH/DI both with 1911's, and top the server on a regular basis...Both those classes fail when I go onto Soft servers.

Just recently had my HD die so having to start again Couldn't recover my Profile as it was on the damaged sector *cries* - Had completed all challenges and the record sheet was impressive

And to the Cock-knockers that brag about RPG Team Killing at spawn - Go fornicate with a rabid dog please.

i dont like hardcore. i hate waiting to respawn and i like the idea that shooting your gun makes you show up on radar so the fact that you dont have a map just pisses me off and promotes camping.

It got a lot worse now, since nearly every one is camping these days.
Like you, I hadn't played for a long time and decided to give the game another go yesterday. I don't think I'll play it again any time soon.
