I honestly can't stand Dane Cook. Then again, I really don't enjoy stand up comedy as a whole, but I can tolerate certain folks, such as David Cross.

Dane Cook however is a complete idiot. One of my favorite scenes from Family Guy is where they spoof Dane, and although this show normally over-exaggerates everything, this is totally dead on. It cracks me up everytime.

Dane Cook, mostly because I do not get how he can use the same jokes over and over and over again. Is he ever going to write any new stuff? I've heard all of his jokes multiple times over and I've only heard like two of his specials.

All the folks that like the show I suppose.
Not true, the show is hilarious, his current comedy is all terrible. But the show was more than just him.
Meh, I couldn't stand the show either.

Normally when the racist jokes start pouring out, I just roll my eyes and move on. Despite being so racist himself, I think Dave Chapelle actually manages to do his racist comedy properly. Most comedians simply point out stereotypes: "there it is, observe". Chapelle is greater than them because he points out stereotypes in the context of a joke. In each Chapelle sketch, there is something that is funny outside of the context of racial stereotypes. Stereotypes enhance the joke, but are not the extent of it.

I'd start listing comedians I hate, but they've been covered. So many bad ones out there.
I Agree completely.

Andy Kaufman. The guy is supposed to be a comedy god, but I just don't find him funny. Worst part is, when I don't laugh at him I think there's something wrong with me.

Japanese manzai comics. If you don't know what manzai is, think 'TV Puppet Pals' from 'Dexter's Lab'. Lame joke, then someone gets hit on the head. Worst part is, they always have catch phrases. Think "get 'er done" but on the main channels, EVERY. SINGLE. NIGHT. Elementary school kids think they're hilarious. *twitch*

David Chappelle, Black Jokes arn't funny to me. I'm not black. White jokes arn't funny to me, racism as a form of humor is only appealing to the average joe who is part of the system and experiances or deep down wants to be at that level of racism.
Chappelle used to be hilarious. The first season of his show was hysterical. But, then he got a bug up his ass and started doing the racist jokes and for some reason people found that funny.
Carlos Mencia, he makes me think of a angry forum troll who somehow got a TV show. He does not amuse me and just makes me think he is the Mexican David Chappelle. Stereo types arn't funny enough to get their own dedicated TV show.
Mencia is an awesome stand up comedian, but he never should have gotten a show. Not because he isn't funny, but because he can't carry it. His humor is entirely satirical so it comes across poorly when he runs out of targets and has to make them up. When that happens he does come across as a troll. Which is too bad. His comedy specials would literally have me falling out of my seat laughing. He was one of the few comics that openly recognized the racism of his humor and manage to work that into the humor as well, but his show is barely tolerable. He was given the entirely wrong format for his humor and it is slowly killing it.

Dane Cook, Jokes are funny for a while but once i've heard them from everyone around me 1000 times over you stop being even slightly amusing but i don't blame Cook he would rather be doing Movies then Comedy anyways, makes me think he hates his own jokes.
Dane Cook was funny on SNL. After...not so much. Although, some of his various cameos are great.

Lewis Black, RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE that was my impression of Lewis black
LB is a troll. A sometimes funny troll, but still someone you watch solely to see him fling his poo around.

Mitch Hedberg, BEFORE you crucify me for saying this understand that i do GET and LIKE Mitchs stuff i am just curious. Would he still be such a great Comedian if he didn't die? what would have happaned? thats what i don't get.
Hedburg was great because you never really had a clue what was going on his in act. He'd be talking about his girlfriend one moment and then suddenly go into a joke about porridge. His act was WTF?! distilled.

Kaufman was the king of the non sequitur. Stop trying to understand it, because your not supposed to. It was all about fucking with the audience. About getting inside their heads and swinging around a chain-axe till something breaks. He was the ultimate out-of-context error.

Wouldn't say I don't get them, but the comedians I just don't like:
Dave Chappelle - Everything a white person would be crucified for saying, he gets to say and all of a sudden it's hilarious? This guy is an anti-white racist, and needs to be taken off the air.
I really don't see the racism in any off his standup or his TV show. Also I don't think a racist who hates whites would have white friends.

Watched Dane Cook - Vicious Circle last night. I was laughing (not much) but I think this was driven by his energy not by him saying anything funny. I don't think he was breathing. It's like I had to laugh or he'd shout at me.

Got One Emo Phillips.
What was he about?
Hate that guy. Spit it out. Spit it out. Yep, not funny. well, that's a waste of 10 minutes.

Lee Evans
It's like a bad routine on repeat. Seriously get some new material.12 years of the same jokes. Sweaty.

Can anyone explain the unusually large amount of black comedians who show up on comedy central presents and all they do are jokes about the differences in whites and blacks?

When people don't like Larry the Cable Guy, i hope you realize its an act. Noone from Nebraska talks that way. He had some funny southern jokes and put together a character. Your supposed to laugh at him.

Russel Brand is the most unfunny man on televison. He stands there talking out of his ass and laughing at his own jokes. Everything about his routine is terrible from his timing to his delivery. And what the hell is up with his clothes?

Thats the first british comedian mentioned on this forum i think. I agree with you, I dont see his appeal at all. He's clearly trying to emulate Dylan Moran's style; the sort of wacky but intelligent stuff. he just doesnt have the wit, intelligence or the vocabulary to pull it off. I absoulutely HATE when comedians laugh at thier own jokes and Brand spends half his act laughing as if he JUST NOW made up the joke! I think the only people who he appeals to are 15 year old girls who want to fuck him.
