There aren't many reasons to carry a Kukri around in England last time I checked. Nor wear a hat to keep out the sun or say "G'day".
I disagree with your Kukri remark. Seems like everyone's got one of those where I live...

scout - brooklyn new york
The Scout is from Boston and if he were a real person would be flaming you because of the hate instilled in him for New Yorkers.

the reason the scout achievement 'a year to remember' is 2004 kills is that's when the Red Sox finally ended their 'curse'

Then again I guess ignorance is bliss if you think the Sniper is Brittish

Actually, I believe he has a rather good aussie accent, not a cockney one, and even if Valve messed up a phrase (it is a U.S. company, you know), he is meant to be Australian. Also, while I too thought the scout was a Brooklyn kid at first, everything I've read says that he's from Boston, and having listened to him and noticed other attributes of his, I'm inclined to believe what I've read.

Also, if you look at some of the sniper achievements, quite a few of them mention Australia.

As bad Aussie accents go, the sniper's a better attempt then most, though. The problem is, people just aren't nasal enough to imitate us. Also you have to be able to both drawl and speak incredibly fast.

And if the engineer were southern, he would have had a banjo. And a Southern accent.
seen the meet the engineer video he has both
I actually think he is more south western hence the him being out in the desert environment
No matter how much Texans want it, they aren't Southern. Just Western.

I thought the Engineer had a Texan accent?

And the Queen is the ceremonial Head of State for Australia, which is why the Aussie Sniper in TF2 says, 'God Save the Queen'.

I did, the professor questioned my source, I cited various news and research sources that find it is more accurate than Britannica. They congratulated me on my thorough response and I finished the course with a B+.

So. I'm not sure what you are breaking but perhaps you might want to re glue it.

Not everyone in the world is as ignorant of the ever changing world as you seem to credit them.
Funny, because I was just on wikipedia and it told me the elephant population in Africa has tripled in the last few years, then it told me that Odin and Zeus had a fight to the death to find who could be the ultimate ruler of Dong-Land.

Really fuckin credible.

It's simple, some shit on there is reliable, most is, but because its open to edit from ANYONE, you cannot rely on it. You managed to sweet talk your prof, grats, but not many of them are that easy to convince.

Also, you said you used other sources aswell.
yes, although wikipedia can often be trusted, the whole 'Anyone can change it' is sometimes a problem. a few years back I was on a page about Saint kevin, for my homework, and someone had replaced every single noun with the word WANKER...

But on topic, those who dont think the sniper is australian should go to hell...Just look at his clothes for one thing! the crocodile dundee hat, the sunglasses, the australian coat...his funnily bad australian accent...everything about him. Even just look at his melee weapon! Thats used in australia.

Yes, but as the game is set in the 60's I doubt a british sniper would have all of that, and a kukri.

he's Australian and like the rest of the tf2 characters, based on the old cemented stereotype of that nation. A nation with close ties to the UK who sounds like Mick Dundee.

Medic might be from Austria though, but that's just nitpicking.
Heavy could be from any country in Western-Europe, judging merely by his accent, but some of his achievements, such as Marxman, imply that he is Russian indeed as they refer to the Soviet Union and Communism.
I also had my doubts when I first 'met' the Sniper, because his accent wasn't really convincing and that queen thing had me wondering aswell.

I had my doubts about him, but achievements such as 'Australian rules' and 'The Melbourne Supremacy' give it away. He's Australian.

he is obviously southern, because of his guitar, his voice, and his overall attitude, but he is also not the hillbilly/cajun type (though hillbillys are actually in the north) in which case it would be a banjo and he would have a thick accent, he is most likely texan, which i think the soldier probably also is (accent)

trust me on this one, i live in florida, its like a tropical texas

Texas is not Southern! Nor is Florida. Virginia isn't either, dispite their wanting to be.

You've clearly never been to a bad part of Glasgow on a Friday night, then.
