Lev noticed that she had only half listened to what he had said earlier, seemingly preoccupied with Tatiana walking ahead of them, or maybe just being inattentive.
"Don't worry about her, she gets grumpy easily, and generally doesn't like new people." He looked back at Ursa, "And she especially doesn't like bears, but that's more due to instinct."
He thought for a moment about what she had said earlier, about how she could (and probably had, on more than one occasion from the sound of it) storm through just about anything. It was a quality he was rather unsure would be useful in the long run, especially coupled with her supposed stubbornness, but it would perhaps be handy if more diplomatic approaches failed, if she would let such approaches occur in the first place.
He sighed softly to himself as he continued to think, knowing what they could do, and how they could do it, would be invaluable to a long journey such as this.
She could apparently cook, which would be a welcome break from his own cooking, which consisted mostly of either recipes to speed recovery, or roasted whatever. However, something she said had bothered him, but he couldn't quite put his finger on it... Wait!
'...my meals don't make people vomit as they used too...' The quote replayed itself in his head, and his left eye visibly twitched. Who the hell was such a bad cook that they made people vomit? That definitely wasn't a good sign. But she did say that they didn't anymore, but could he allow himself to jeopardize the journey by allowing her to cook for them?
"Sounds good, then we'll be taking turns making meals, you start, if you don't mind."
He sighed mentally, apparently he could allow it...
He turned to look over his shoulder at Ursa again, trying to check if he was particularly fit, or if her cooking might have affected him in any way. But, as expected, the bear looked fine, if a bit dim.
That was when he noticed them among the stream of people heading out from the city, the two women from the butcher's shop. And they did indeed look like they were heading on the quest. But with the way they were walking, and not really interacting with the others around them, he guessed that they were going just the two of them.
He stopped walking and looked at them, pondering if perhaps expanding the repertoire of companions was in order. Besides, if they were going the same way then there were hardly any downsides, and they didn't look like the could be a threat if they were less than honest questers.
