MGS4 might come too the 360, that is all on Konami.

God of War 3? That would be like Halo 3 coming to the PS3. Sony and Microsoft would slit their own corporate wrists first.

Isn't the Mass Effect IP under exclusive license to Microsoft, though? In that case, it doesn't matter that it's being published by EA--they would be bound by whatever contract BioWare had with Microsoft regarding the IP rights over Mass Effect.

The real question is just how much Microsoft owns of the Mass Effect IP.

I would imagine all contracts are re-negotiated with EA and Microsoft as of Bioware being property of EA. Microsoft is not able to push EA around. EA can do pretty much as it pleases I would imagine. If I was EA I would just toss Microsoft a bunch of cash and call it even.

As for all this stuff about the previous game affecting your current...don't hold your breath I doubt it, it'll probably just be something like a few different quests/conversations like your backround did in the first.

Yes, I know Bioware promised us characters would carry over, but promises are made of sunshine and hope and reality is made of shit and bricks.

I'm closing my eyes and pretending I didn't read that. I could care less about ME 2 being on the PS 3, if those owners really wanted to play it they could still try it out. After KOTOR and KOTOR 2 I need some real continuity.

The game still made the same leap onto the PS3 as Mass Effect may do.

Although It's not a great example, since Mass Effect relies more on the first game of the series in order for the story to make sense. Plus, Mass Effect 2 is also affected heavily by the choices made in the first game, so people playing on the PS3 may miss out on that aspect.

Well since they have stated you will be able to carry your first character to the second game it says to me that if you never played the first you are going to get an auto levelled character in #2. So for them to bring it to the PS3 they will have to fill it with a ton of backstory first off. Then they will get an auto levelled 50 character with no customization beforehand. That sux for a new player IMO

Stop making up stuff...nobody said you'd get an auto-levelled character...besides the first game only had 60 levels, so giving people a level 50 wouldn't work anyway.

Actually, it isn't, my point was that the game wouldn't sell so much as it would in its original systems and Condemned 2 proves that. It sold worse in the PS3 compared to the Xbox.

Developers keep saying stuff like this to make their product seem better.
Remember Fallout 3 and the million different endings? Yeah.

Condemned 2's mediocre sales on the PS3 may not be down to that reason. Lack of promotion and marketing could have been a reason. Things aren't always black and white.

Bleh. They've been promising the 'carry over' feature since Mass Effect 2 was announced. Here's to hoping they'll actually fulfill their promises.
