EDIT: Okay people, let's not forget that you are a Force user, not a superhero. No amount of Force lightning is going to stop anyone from eventually shooting you. You don't have the benefit of a lightsaber, and even then, I don't think it would deflect bullets.

It's called force deflect, it allows you to deflect anything launched at you (tables chairs, bullets) for the same cost as a force push, maybe if you played the Star wars table top RPG you'd know this, so I would stop bullets, just to prove you wrong OP, then I'd take over the world.

And you'd be able to do that indefinately would you? Even stopping 50 cal bullets from two miles away? You would get shot, eventually.

As the first force sensitive person that wouild mean that others would be out there, I would spend some time learning all the powers, and then found a Jedi academy, and go out, find and train jedi, only training those I sensed would use their powers to help people. I'd then lead this group of badass jedi, and we would travel the world going where we were needed, without having to obey the political nicities that the UN and other leaders and countries have. Oppressive dictator? We'll break into his palace and tell him him to reform, if he doesn't then his head will roll. Natural disaster? We'll go straight there and help out as best we can.

All I need to do is think of a suitably awesome name for my team of warrior monks. Maybe I'll just go with a classic "The Order".

Well for one i'd master the powers, not much point in having powers if you aren't going to abuse them. I'd specifically focus on telekinesis, mind tricks, and force lightning, and then focus on ending world conflict. I'd use the mind tricks to hide my identity, constantly blend in, and convince tyrants and stupid fucking politicians to either step down or clean up their act by fucking with their heads, all the while using telekinesis to form a sort of kinetic barrier as a defense in case people suddenly realize what i am and begin shooting, and use force lightning to disable security systems around me.

Or if i can't be bothered, i'd just use force lightning as a defibrillator when i'm on the job and use telekinesis to pleasure my girlfriend. Maybe use the mind trick to trick the occasional entitled Wall Street ************ to give all their wealth to game corporations i like and become Buddhists. Maybe while i'm at it, use force lightning to restore myself on a cellular level so that i age slowly. If there is a zombie apocalypse coming, i want to live to see it!

Unless you somehow managed to convince your friends to shoot you, there is no way you would have had any practice at deflecting/blocking bullets with the Force. Force user have quick reflexes, but not that quick.

Bullets travel a lot quicker than the blaster bolts in the movies.

First try to find a way to live forever with the help of the force. If that meant that I have to drain life energy from other people so be it.
Second I'd travel the world hiding my identity and slowly guiding the world towards world peace with me as the true ruler behind the throne.

I figure it like in the Spider Man movies. With great power, comes great responsibility.

For one, the force has limits. The force cannot bring people back from the dead, it can't keep you living forever, and it can't let you travel back or forward in time (but there is a power that let's you view the past or the future, but you cannot change it).

Next, we have people who want your kind of power. If you reveal your power to others that don't already have it, they'll attempt to take advantage of you, become jealous, or afraid of your powers. This may end up with the Military at your doorstep.

Not to mention, your powers of the force don't constitute any kind of weapon except in non-conventional terms, like lightning, push, or grip.

It's hard to say what i'd do with my powers. I guess I'd go a little Sith and get myself some cash to work with, but otherwise I'd help people discreetly and create my own underground Jedi Academy, for Force Sensitive users.

I would follow in Revan's foot steps, never allowing myself to fall completely to the so called dark side. I would become a "hero" at least in my own mind, killing criminals and scumbags, being feared like Kira from Death Note. That or try to bring peace through other means, I will never fully succeed but I will make the world a better place.... I think. I must also make sure that I keep myself alive either through life and force draining, or will/anger (like Darth Sion).

Persuade people into getting everything I want then get a huge mansion and invite my friends to stay and live with me. Then, show them my powers, have a little fun, and begin my quest to find others. I would have to make sure I was the strongest though so that I don't get overthrown and have my own private Jedi alliance while chillin' with friends in my dream mansion and live my life in fame and luxury. Simple as that. Maybe travel the world and see the sights. Become a famous "magician" like Houdini. You know. Living life like a king.
